La Mesa (Spanish for 'The Table') is a city in San Diego County, located 9 miles (14 km) east of Downtown San Diego in Southern California. The population was 57,065 at the 2010 census, up from 54,749 at the 2000 census. Its civic motto is "the Jewel of the Hills."

Eucalyptus County Park is a 6.45-acre (2.61 ha) urban park located at 9125 Edgewood Drive in Spring Valley, California, United States.Named for the many eucalyptus trees on the property, the park frequently hosts birthday parties, horseshoes tournaments, BBQ grills, neighborhood children, dogs on leash, birdwatchers, a pair of hawks, and, often, artists painting the park itself. Eucalyptus County Park is managed and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department of the County of San Diego. The park's site is one of the oldest in the eastern San Diego County dedicated to public recreational use.

One of the newer stations in the San Diego Trolley network having opened in 2005, the facility is locally noted for its artwork using California native plants and recycled materials. Parts of the platform are paved with chips of colored used glass, the benches are made of cobblestones excavated from the site during the station's construction, and bench seats are made of recycled plastics. Landscaping includes edible wild strawberries, lemonade berry bushes, and native California wild roses.The station provided direct service to Qualcomm Stadium during Chargers home games.

From 1885 until his death in 1918, it was home to Hubert Howe Bancroft, a pioneering historian of the western United States, Mexico, and Central America. Now managed by the local historical society as a museum, it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962 for its association with Bancroft, and was registered as a California Historical Landmark in 1958.

Lemon Grove Academy Middle School is a middle school located in Lemon Grove, California. The school is managed by the Lemon Grove School District. Lemon Grove Academy Middle's mascot is the Wolf. This school has been indicted for failing to meet No Child Left Behind benchmarks, particularly in reading.
