Hollis Street Church

The Hollis Street Theatre (1885–1935) was a theatre in Boston, Massachusetts, that presented dramatic plays, opera, musical concerts, and other entertainments.

The Wang Theatre is a theatre in Boston. It originally opened in 1925 as the Metropolitan Theatre and was later renamed the Music Hall. It was designed by Clarence Blackall and is located at 252–272 Tremont Street in the Boston Theatre District. The theatre is operated as part of the Boch Center. The theatre was designated as a Boston Landmark by the Boston Landmarks Commission in 1990.

The Shubert Theatre is a theatre in Boston, Massachusetts, at 263-265 Tremont Street in the Boston Theater District. It opened on January 24, 1910, with a production of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew starring E. H. Sothern and Julia Marlowe. Architect Thomas M. James (Hill, James, & Whitaker) designed the building, which seats approximately 1,600 people. Originally conceived as The Lyric Theatre by developer Charles H. Bond, it was taken over by The Shubert Organization in 1908 after Bond's death.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. In February 1996, the Wang Center signed a 40-year lease agreement to operate the theatre with the Shubert Organization, which continues to own the building and property; the theatre reopened after renovation in November 1996. The Boch family became the namesake of the center in 2016, making the full name of the theatre the Shubert Theatre at the Boch Center.

The Wilbur Theatre is a historic performing arts theater at 244–250 Tremont Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The Wilbur Theatre originally opened in 1914, but underwent renovations in 2008. The Wilbur Theatre sits in the heart of Boston's historic theater district and is known for hosting live comedy and music. The venue seats 1,093, but the main floor (orchestra level) has removable tables and seating, to create a general admission standing room (bringing capacity to 1,200). It features basic concessions, including a full bar, on each of the three floors (Orchestra, Mezzanine, Balcony).

The Jacob Wirth Restaurant was a historic German-American restaurant and bar in Boston, Massachusetts at 31-39 Stuart Street. Founded in 1868, Jacob Wirth was the second oldest continuously operated restaurant in Boston when it closed in 2018.The Greek Revival building housing the restaurant was constructed in 1844. The German style restaurant was founded in 1868 and is the second oldest continuously operating restaurant in the city after the Union Oyster House. The restaurant was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and designated a Boston Landmark in 1977, with interior and exterior protections. Jacob Wirth was the first distributor of Anheuser Busch products. The Wirth family and Anheuser family are from the same small town in Germany. In 2010, Chelsea developer AJ Simboli Real Estate purchased the property for $1.6 million. The restaurant was put up for sale in January 2018 after having filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and closed following a fire in June of that year. As recently as October 2021 there was a restoration effort under way to repair fire damage and reopen the restaurant as it had been prior to its closure.

The Boston Dispensary (est.1796) or Boston Medical Dispensary provided for "medical relief of the poor" in Boston, Massachusetts, from the late 18th century through the mid-20th century. It was one of the first hospitals in the United States. In the 1960s the Boston Dispensary merged with New England Medical Center and is now known as Tufts Medical Center.

Tufts Medical Center (until 2008 Tufts-New England Medical Center) in Boston, Massachusetts is a downtown Boston hospital occupying space between Chinatown and the Boston Theater District. The hospital is a center for biomedical research and is the principal teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine where all full-time Tufts MC physicians hold faculty appointments; the center is connected to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Tufts Medical Center is subdivided into a full-service adult hospital and the Tufts Children's Hospital (originally a floating ship but presently on shore). Tufts Medical Center's president and CEO is Michael Tarnoff, MD. Tufts Medical Center is based in Boston, MA but also has satellite locations in areas including Quincy, Chelmsford, Framingham, and others. The hospital also has partnerships with Lawrence General Hospital and Lowell General Hospital and MelroseWakefield Hospital.

The Dill Building is an historic building at 11–25 Stuart Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The six story brick building was constructed in two phases between 1886 and 1888. Its facade is symmetrical, each half of floors 3–5 organized into window groups separated by brick pilasters. There is a corbelled cornice line between floors 5 and 6, with the window pattern continued on the sixth floor without pilasters. The main roof line is also corbelled, with two stepped parapet sections inscribed with the construction dates. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.Previous tenants in the building include the American Red Cross, M & M Realty Trust, Smith Barney and Citibank. In 2012, Hostelling International opened a 468 hostel (HI-Boston) after a complete renovation of the building. After more than a year of construction, the completed building encompasses 55,000 sq ft over 6 floors. The renovation preserves and exposes historical features of the building.

Tufts Medical Center is a transit station in Boston, Massachusetts. It serves the MBTA Orange Line subway and Silver Line bus rapid transit lines. It is named for the Tufts Medical Center and is built under a wing of the facility that crosses over Washington Street in downtown Boston between Kneeland Street in Chinatown and the Massachusetts Turnpike. The underground Orange Line station consists of two side platforms serving the line's two tracks, while Silver Line buses stop along the sidewalks on the surface next to the station entrance on Washington Street. A secondary entrance is available on Tremont Street one block to the west. Like all Orange Line stations, Tufts Medical Center is accessible.

Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) is a private, American dental school located in the Chinatown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, and is connected to Tufts Medical Center. It is one of the 8 graduate schools that comprise Tufts University. Founded in 1868 as Boston Dental College by Dr. Isaac J. Wetherbee, the university is the second oldest dental school in the city, and one of the oldest in the country. As of 2013, Tufts is the second largest dental school in the United States, with a class size of approximately 190 students per class.Acceptance to Tufts Dental Medicine is highly competitive. In the year 2021, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine now has the lowest acceptance rate among all dental schools in the United States with an acceptance rate of 2.1%.Tufts Dental Medicine, the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University comprise the three schools of dental medicine in the Boston metropolitan area. TUSDM educates both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students. The majority of students pursue a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. In addition to the DMD degree, TUSDM offers combined DMD/MS (Master of Science in Dental Research) and DMD/MPH (Master of Public Health) degrees. Post-doctoral students, who have already obtained a DMD or DDS degree, can specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Endodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry, as well as certificate programs in Craniomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain, Advanced Dental Technology and Research Program, Implant Dentistry Fellowship, and Advanced Education in Esthetic Dentistry.In 2011, Dr. Huw F. Thomas, formerly Dean of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry was named the 16th Dean of TUSDM. That same year, TUSDM was nationally recognized for leadership in teaching, research, community service, and diversity by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Gies Foundation with the 2011 William J. Gies Award for Outstanding Achievement by an Academic Dental Institution.

Southland was a ballroom/cafe on Warrenton Street in Boston, in the United States, in what is now the Charles Playhouse. Originally a church, converted into a club, is best known for featuring prominent jazz artists of the 1930s and 1940s such as Count Basie (most associated with the club), Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Jimmie Lunceford, and many others. Southland was connected to the radio and it became a notable venue for broadcasting jazz over the radio in the 1940s. On 19 February 1940, Count Basie and his Orchestra opened a four-week engagement at Southland which was broadcast on 20 February. Southland's entertainment also featured dancers such as Rubberlegs Williams, who also sang with Basie on numerous occasions. Today the building is occupied by the Charles Playhouse, which opened in 1957.

The Charles Playhouse is a theater at 74 Warrenton Street Boston in the Boston Theater District. The venue comprises an approximately 500-seat mainstage, which hosts the long-running Blue Man Group, and a 200-seat second stage that hosted Shear Madness until March 2020.
