Repton School Dubai, part of Excella, is an international, co-educational school founded in 2007. The school caters to students from ages 3 to 18 and has boarding facilities for students from age 11. It is a partner school of the original Repton School in the UK, founded in 1557. Repton School Dubai was the first sister school of the UK-based renowned Repton institution within the UAE educational landscape. Repton School Dubai was also the first UK branded international school to start its operations in the UAE. Subsequently, Repton School Abu Dhabi and Repton School Al Barsha were launched in the UAE in 2013. According to KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) inspections, Repton School Dubai was audited and ranked Outstanding in the year 2014 and has maintained its ratings to date.Repton School Dubai offers a full range of the IGCSE curriculum and the IB Diploma, IB Career Programme, and A-Level courses with a choice of 45 subjects in various academic fields. The school houses students from over 80 different nationalities. The Junior and Senior schools are located on a campus of 1.3 million square feet in Nad Al Sheba 3, making it the largest school in the region.

Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) (Arabic: هيئة المعرفة والتنمية البشرية) is the educational quality assurance and regulatory authority of the Government of Dubai, United Arab Emirates which is responsible for evaluation and accreditation of higher educational institutions and universities in the Emirate of Dubai. Established in 2006 by the country's Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, it is the main body that oversees the growth of private education sector in the emirate, including early childhood education centers and schools.KHDA oversees the private education sector in Dubai, higher education providers, and training institutes. KHDA is responsible for the growth and quality of private education in Dubai. Between 2008 and 2018, the number of students attending schools rated good or better has more than doubled - from 30% in 2008/09 to 66% in the 2017/18 academic year. Likewise the number of Emirati students attending schools rated good or better has increased significantly, from 26% in 2008/09, to 62% in 2017/18.KHDA's current priorities focus on increasing the number of expatriate and Emirati students attending high-quality schools, and to integrate wellbeing into the concepts and processes that define education in Dubai. Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (abbreviated HBMSU; formerly Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University) is the first smart university in the United Arab Emirates, established in 2002. The President of the university is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Being the first e-learning institute in the UAE, its working model has paved the way for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), UAE to design standards for accreditation for an e-learning institution.
