Combe Hay Manor

Combe Hay is a village and civil parish in the English county of Somerset. It falls within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The parish has a population of 147.

Combe Hay Halt railway station was a railway station that served the village of Combe Hay, Somerset, England from 1910 to 1925 on the Bristol and North Somerset Railway.

The Combe Hay Locks is a derelict flight of locks on the Somerset Coal Canal near Combe Hay, Somerset, England. Twenty two locks raised the canal 134 feet (41 m) over approximately 1.6 miles (2.6 km). The lock flight was predated in the immediate area by two other methods of canal lifts—first by a series of caisson locks, then by an inclined plane. The lock flight opened in 1805, and was in operation until 1899.

Odd Down Football Club is a football club based in the Odd Down area of Bath, England. They are currently members of the Western League Division One and play at the Lew Hill Memorial Ground. The club is affiliated to the Somerset County FA.

Wellow is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, about 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Bath. The parish, which includes the hamlets of Twinhoe, White Ox Mead, Baggridge and part of Midford has a population of 529. The village itself falls within the southernmost boundary of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is recognised as having special architectural and historic interest, which led to it being designated as a Conservation Area in 1983.

Saint Gregory's Catholic College in Odd Down, Bath, England is a Roman Catholic, co-educational secondary school with a sixth form. It was renamed from Saint Gregory's Comprehensive School, which opened in 1979. It teaches around 1000 pupils, its current head teacher is Anne Cusack. The school has specialist status in Performing Arts and Modern Languages. In 2008 and 2013, it was rated as "Outstanding" by Ofsted.There are four houses named after famous saints: Stein, Romero, Bakhita and Francis. In 2011 the school formed a soft federation with St Mark's CofE School in Larkhall, with St Gregory's former headteacher, Raymond Friel, being appointed as executive headteacher in charge of both schools. The federation built a joint sixth form at St Gregory's, which opened in 2013 with the name The New Sixth.Saint Gregory's Comprehensive School was formed in 1979 through the amalgamation of Cardinal Newman School located at the site of the new school, and La Sainte Union Convent School founded in 1858 and located on Pulteney Road in central Bath (now Bath Law Courts).

Wellow railway station was a station on the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway at Wellow in the county of Somerset in England. Opened on 20 July 1874, the station consisted of two platforms, a goods yard and sidings, controlled from an 18 lever signal box. The station closed to goods in 1963: passenger services were withdrawn when the SDJR closed on 7 March 1966.

The Church of St James is an Anglican parish church in Southstoke, Somerset, England. It was built in the 12th century and has been designated as a Grade II* listed building. Dedicated to James, son of Zebedee, known in England as St James the Great, the original 12th-century building was altered in the 15th century. Further restoration was undertaken in the 1840s and 1850s when the chancel and south aisle were rebuilt. However, the north door is Norman. Pevsner says of it Low Perp. w. tower. Nave with Norman n. doorway. One order of columns, both patterned with a lozenge design, but the r. one in addition with two alternating smaller motifs in the lozenges. Lintel with low-pitched top, chip-carved. Tympanum with a trellis pattern of roll-mouldings. Arch with rosettes, three-dimensional zigzag and a kind of flat plait. S. aisle and chancel 1845 and c. 1850. Pulpit – stone, polygonal, probably Perp. Pevsner also noted in the 1950s that the church plate included an Elizabethan chalice and a paten by Thomas Parr marked for the year 1700.The parish is part of the benefice of Combe Down with Monkton Combe and South Stoke within the archdeaconry of Bath.

The Packhorse Inn in Southstoke within the English county of Somerset is a Grade II listed building which was largely rebuilt in 1674. It was changed from a farmhouse to a pub in the 19th century but closed in 2012. A local campaign has achieved designation as an asset of community value has raised money to renovate it. The pub reopened in March 2018.

Southstoke is a small village and civil parish in north east Somerset, England. In 2004 the parish council requested that the name be formally changed to South Stoke, as "this is historically the more established spelling (rather than the single word spelling Southstoke) and better reflects the origin and meaning of the Parish name."It is 2 miles (3 km) south of the city of Bath, on the River Avon and the route of the disused Somerset Coal Canal. The village provides views over the surrounding area and is the starting point for country walks. A popular route is to visit other villages and their pubs in the area, such as Combe Hay and Midford. Southstoke is a designated Conservation Area as identified by the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. The buildings are mainly cream oolitic limestone and there are 27 listed structures in and around the immediate village which has retained much of its original character and historic appeal.

Three Ways School is a coeducational special school with academy status, located in the Odd Down area of Bath in Somerset, England. It was created in 2005 from the amalgamation of three special schools in Bath, the Royal United Hospital School, Summerfield School and Lime Grove School, but only moved into its new £12 million, purpose built facilities after they were opened on 17 November 2007, by High Sheriff of Somerset, David Medlock.The buildings, grounds and facilities cater for children and young people with a range of special needs. The school is divided into small family units from the nursery for the very youngest children to a post 16 centre. The facilities include a sensory theatre and Hydrotherapy pool. The school also has partners with Ralph Allen School.
