The Skull Chapel (Polish: Kaplica Czaszek) is an ossuary chapel located in the Czermna district of Kudowa-Zdrój, in southwestern Poland. Built in Baroque style in the last quarter of the 18th century, the temple serves as a mass grave with thousands of skulls and human skeletal remains adorning its interior walls, floor, ceiling, and foundations. The Skull Chapel is the only such monument in Poland, and one of five in Europe.

Kudowa-Zdrój [kuˈdɔva ˈzdrui̯] (German: Bad Kudowa, Czech: Chudoba), or simply Kudowa, is a town located below the Table Mountains in Kłodzko County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the southwestern part of Poland. Due to its location, the town is famous for tourism, hiking and as the departure point for trips. The town has several historical and heritage sites such as the Chapel of Skulls within the Czermna district of Kudowa, an ossuary containing the bones or skeletal remains of thousands. It is one of a few of its kind in Europe. Another site is the Basilica of Wambierzyce, nicknamed "Silesian Jerusalem", and one of the most popular Catholic pilgrimage destinations in Poland.

It has about 4,200 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.

The Broumovsko Protected Landscape Area (Czech: Chráněná krajinná oblast Broumovsko, abbreviated CHKO Broumovsko) is a protected landscape area in Hradec Králové Region in the Czech Republic, on the border with Poland. It is named after the town of Broumov. The highest point is Čáp with 785 metres (2,575 ft) a.s.l. Broumovsko has been a protected landscape area since 1991. It is well known for its aesthetically and ecologically valuable landscape: extensive complexes of sandstone rock formation as well as cultural heritage, which comprises especially religious and folk architecture.
