Tarzan River

The Manengon River is a river in the United States territory of Guam. The Manengon River is the longest river in Guam.

Guam Adventist Academy (GAA) is a K-12 private school run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Guam and the Seventh-day Adventist Guam Micronesia Mission, in Yona, Guam. The school's Windward Hills campus is across the street from the Windward Hills Golf Club. In 1949, Pastor Dunton founded what would become the GAA in Dededo, with an enrollment of 26 pupils. The second GAA school in Talofofo was opened in 1951. By 1957, the two schools merged into one K-12 institution, located in Agaña Heights. In July 1963, the institution secured what would become its current location in Windward Hills. In 2007, the school had about 100 students. As of 2010, the school combined the high school graduation and the eighth grade promotion exercises into a single ceremony.

The Light Model Tank No. 95 is a relic of the Japanese occupation of the US territory of Guam during World War II. It is the remains of a Type 95 Ha-Go light tank, that was in a highly visible location on Cross Island Road when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. At that time little more than the tank body remained, its turret and gun having been removed and sold for scrap. It was at that time one of three such tanks known to survive on the island.

The Baza Outdoor Oven is a 20th-century version of a traditional hotnu, or outside oven, on the island of Guam. This oven is located at the end of Beatrice Baza Drive in the village of Yona. It was built in 1952 out of brick and concrete, but is based on traditional forms that have been in use on Guam since they were introduced by the Spanish in the 17th century. It is a barrel-shaped structure about 2 metres (6.6 ft) long, 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) wide, and 1.67 metres (5.5 ft) high. The base of the structure is poured concrete about 0.6 metres (2.0 ft) high, with the vaulted portion about 1 metre (3.3 ft) high. The interior of the vault is made out of heat-resistant bricks, while the exterior is finished in cement. The oven was used by heating it until the bricks were white, after which the burning materials were removed, the food to be cooked was added, and the main door was closed. This oven is large enough to roast four pigs. The oven was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Ylig River is one of the longest rivers in the United States territory of Guam. Rising close to the west coast some three kilometres north of Apra Heights, it traverses the island, flowing into the sea in the central east coast, south of the town of Yona. The course of this river roughly parallels that of the Pago River, which lies around five kilometres to the north. It runs about 6.83 miles in length, and has a watershed area of 16.08 square miles. The Ylig has two tributaries, the Tarzan and the Manengon rivers.

The Mount Tenjo Fortifications are a historic defensive gun battery site on Mount Tenjo, a hill overlooking Apra Harbor, the principal deep-water port on the island of Guam. The site includes concrete mounting pads for seven guns and the crumbling remains of a concrete command post structure. These facilities are located just below the crest of the hill on its west side. A defensive trench also extends along the top of the plateau-like hill. Unlike most early 20th-century fortifications on Guam, these facilities were built in the late 1910s by the United States Navy, and not by Japanese forces during the World War II occupation period. These are the only known surviving pre-World War II defensive fortification sites on the island. They were functionally abandoned as a result of the 1922 Washington Naval Conference. Mount Tenjo was the site of battle during the 1944 liberation of Guam. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Lonfit River is a river in the United States territory of Guam. It empties into the Pago River. Contaminants from the Ordot Dump in Chalan Pago-Ordot, Guam, which was closed in 2011, leached into the river.

The Sigua River is a river in the United States territory of Guam. It empties into the Pago River.

The Ilik River Fortification II near Yona, Guam was built by Japanese forces during World War II. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1991. It is a pillbox located about 100 meters from an entrance to Ylig Bay, 30 meters inland from the high tide line, and about 50 meters above sea level. The fortification consists of three partial sides of a structure made of coral pieces cemented together, a construction technique introduced to the island during its colonial Spanish administration. The surviving wall segments range in thickness from 0.7 metres (2.3 ft) to 0.9 metres (3.0 ft) in thickness, and there is a gun port in the south-facing wall.

Yona (Chamorro: Yoʼña [d͡zoˈɲa]) is a village in the United States territory of Guam.

Ordot Dump, also known as Ordot Landfill, was a landfill on the western Pacific island of Guam that operated from the 1940s until 2011. Originally operated by the U.S. military, ownership was transferred to the Government of Guam in 1950, though it continued to receive all waste on the island, including from Naval Base Guam and Andersen Air Force Base, through the 1970s. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) designated Ordot Dump a Superfund site in 1983. In 2002, the U.S. government sued Guam under the Clean Water Act to force it to clean up Ordot Dump, resulting in Guam entering into a consent decree to close and cover the dump. After Guam failed to do so, the EPA put the landfill into receivership. The receiver closed Ordot Dump in 2011. In 2017, Guam sued the U.S. government for part of the costs of cleaning up the dump, which were estimated to range as high as $160 million. The Federal government argued that the statute of limitations had already run out for Guam to file suit. The Supreme Court of the United States heard the case, Guam v. United States, and decided unanimously in May 2021 to allow Guam's case to continue.

The Tokcha' Pillbox is a Japanese-built World War II-era defensive fortification on the island of Guam. It is built on a limestone terrace on Togcha Point, about 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the Togcha River and 0.7 miles (1.1 km) south of the Ylig River. It is set in a depression excavated from the limestone about 15 metres (49 ft) inland from the high tide land and 1 metre (3.3 ft) above sea level. It is a roughly rectangular structure built out of steel-reinforced concrete filled with coral and beach aggregate. The entrance is on the north wall, sheltered by a wall of coral blocks, and the gun port is on the south wall. This structure was built under the direction of the Japanese military during their occupation of the island 1941–44. The pillbox was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
