Guayo River

Bolera Caribe is a bowling center located in barrio Coto Laurel in the municipality of Ponce, Puerto Rico, where bowling competitions for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games (CACG) were held. The venue is located at the intersection of PR-506 and PR-52. The Center is owned by Bolera Caribe, Inc., a private company. The bowling center was inaugurated in November 2004.

Salvador Vassallo was the company's CEO and president until his death in 2007.

Cristalia Premium Water is a producer of bottled drinking water in Puerto Rico. The company is headquartered in Barrio Coto Laurel, Ponce, Puerto Rico. It is Puerto Rico's largest manufacturer and supplier of bottled water. In 2006, the Company was recognized by Beverage World Magazine as "the premier bottled water in Puerto Rico." In 2018, Honeywell International recognized it as "the Caribbean’s leading bottled water company".

Along with Anón, Marueño, Guaraguao, Quebrada Limon, Real, and San Patricio, and the coastal barrios of Canas and Capitanejo, Coto Laurel is one of the municipality's nine bordering barrios. It borders the municipality of Juana Diaz. It was founded in 1831.

Festival Nacional Afrocaribeño (National Afro-Caribbean Festival) is an annual cultural celebration held at Ángel “Cuqui” Mangual baseball field in the La Cuarta neighborhood of Barrio Capitanejo in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The celebration, which commonly lasts three days, takes place in late June. It has been called "a world-class" event that brings together "the best exponents of salsa, bomba, plena and merengue music". It is attended by some 30,000 people. The festival's purpose is to positively impact the region by creating a cultural space to help preserve traditions. It aims to highlight the contributions to Puerto Rico culture and society by Puerto Ricans of African heritage. The festivities are highlighted by bands playing salsa, bomba and plena music.

Juana Díaz barrio-pueblo is a barrio and the administrative center (seat) of Juana Díaz, a municipality of Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 3,977.As was customary in Spain, in Puerto Rico, the municipality has a barrio called pueblo which contains a central plaza, the municipal buildings (city hall), and a Catholic church. Fiestas patronales (patron saint festivals) are held in the central plaza every year.

Juana Díaz (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈxwana ˈði.as]) is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the southern coast of the island, south of Jayuya, Ciales, Orocovis and Villalba; east of Ponce; and west of Coamo and Santa Isabel and the Caribbean Sea to the south. Juana Díaz is spread over 13 barrios and Juana Diaz Pueblo (the downtown area and the administrative center of the city). It is part of the Ponce Metropolitan Statistical Area. Juana Díaz is known as "La Ciudad del Mabí" (Mabí City). Mabi is a fermented Taíno beverage made out from the bark of the mabi tree Colubrina elliptica.

The Iglesia San Ramón Nonato (English: Church of Saint Raymond Nonnatus), in some sources also referred to as Iglesia San Juan Bautista y San Ramón Nonato (English: Church of Saints John the Baptist and Raymond Nonnatus), is a Roman Catholic parish church in the town plaza of Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico.

Hacienda Mercedita was a 300-acre (120 ha) sugarcane plantation in Ponce, Puerto Rico, founded in 1861, by Juan Serrallés Colón. Today Hacienda Mercedita no longer grows sugarcane and its lands are instead used for growing mangoes, grasses, landscape plants and palms, coconut palms, bananas, and seeds.The Hacienda was the administrative center of the large sugarcane mill called Central Mercedita as well as that of its cane sugar refinery plant which packaged the Snow White brand sugar at its nearby packaging plant. Hacienda Mercedita was also the site of origin of a rum production in 1865 that became the successful Destilería Serrallés rum distillery producing Don Q and other spirits. After operating continuously since 1949, Central Mercedita closed down in December 1994, and its sugar mill site is abandoned and in ruins. The Serrallés rum distillery, however, is an expanding and successful company still operating from the same original location, in barrio Vayas, southeast of the intersection of routes PR-10 and PR-52. Central Mercedita, where the local sugar cane was processed, is now owned by Puerto Rico's Autoridad de Tierras (English: Land Authority). Though Hacienda Mercedita was located in a different barrio, Sabanetas, its location was next to the rum distillery, the two being separated only by La Esperanza street (PR-5506).
