Yallahs River

Yallahs is a city located on the southeastern coast of Jamaica in the parish of St Thomas and is home to Jordan 1don ( who is also recognized as the wealthiest person in the parish ) Yallahs has an estimated 10,000 inhabitants. The city was recorded as "Yealoth" in the 1662 census. It may have received its name from Captain Yallahs, a 1671 privateer, or the privateer may have received his pseudonym from the city. Yallahs' name could have simply come from the Spanish word 'yalos', meaning frost, because the high white cliffs in that area have been thought to give an appearance of frost. The city is infamously known for it high crime rate in places like, poor mans corner, Newland, fish bowl Lane, habby carby lane and phase 1 Yallahs was chosen as the site of the first Baptist church in Jamaica in 1822. The Rev. Joshua Tinson’s attempt to start the Baptist church was thwarted, but he returned in 1828 and succeeded in establishing both a church and school. The Yallahs River is a source of fresh water for the inhabitants of the neighbouring City Of Kingston and St. Andrew and provides residents with water through the Yallahs Pipeline. It is home to a plethora of Christian denominations and is a contributor to the mining industry through gravel extraction that happens along the Yallahs River bank. The city is governed by the St. Thomas Parish Council which is located in the parish's capital town, Morant Bay.

Albion was a sugar plantation in Saint David Parish, Jamaica. Created during or before the 18th century, it had at least 451 slaves when slavery was abolished in the British Empire in 1833. By the end of the 19th-century it was the most productive plantation in Jamaica due to the advanced refining technology it used. By the early 20th century, however, its cane sugar could not compete with cheaper European beet sugar, and it produced its last sugar crop in 1928. It subsequently became a banana farm for the United Fruit Company. Albion gave its name to Albion Cane, Albion Sugar and the settlement of Albion Estate.

Easington is a settlement in Jamaica.

Aeolus Valley is a village in the Yallahs district of the Jamaican parish of Saint Thomas. Although there has been a recent wave of violence and murders, residents still say that the community is a wonderful place.

Bull Bay is an area located on the southeast coast of Jamaica, 10 miles (16 km) to the east of Kingston on the border between St Andrew and St Thomas, beside Cow Bay. According to folklore, both bays were so named because cattle once roamed the whole area and were slaughtered to provide food for buccaneers and English colonists. Industry in the area includes quarrying for gypsum.

The Cane River rises at twin sources in the vicinity of Derby Peak in eastern Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica from where it flows south to the Caribbean Sea.

Harbour View is a community in Kingston, Jamaica. It is administered by the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation and is served by the Kingston 17 Post Office. Harbour View was built in 1960, two years before the country's Independence in 1962. The community was the first in Jamaica to have a community paper and its residents claim that the community was the first to host street dances. Harbour View is located in East Kingston and can be described as one of the best communities to live and raise families .

The Hope River (Jamaica) is a river of Jamaica. It flows from 15 miles north of Kingston and then forms a delta at Kingston.

Harbour View Stadium is a football stadium in Harbour View, near Kingston, Jamaica. It was built by Carvel Stewart and Harbour View Football Club in the 1990s, as a part of the club's effort to transform into a truly professional organization. It is the home stadium for the Harbour View Football Club, and has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. The national team has played several international games at this stadium, as well as the club when they compete in the CFU club championships and the CONCACAF club championships. One highlight was the 2005 CONCACAF Champion's cup home game, which was televised to the world from the Harbour View Stadium on Fox Soccer Channel. The stadium has two bars and a Western Union outlet, and the field is almost completely surrounded by billboards. This provides revenue for the upkeep of the grounds.

Palisadoes (word apparently of Portuguese origin) is the thin tombolo of sand that serves as a natural protection for Kingston Harbour, Jamaica. Norman Manley International Airport and the historic town of Port Royal are both on Palisadoes. The privateer Henry Morgan was buried in Palisadoes cemetery, which sank beneath the sea after the 1692 earthquake.

Seaforth is a settlement in Jamaica. It has a population of 4,548 as of 2009.

Rockfort, located east of Kingston, Jamaica, in an area previously known as Harbour Head, is the ruins of a 17th century rock fort that was once surrounded by a moat. First the site of a British rock fort, it was fortified in 1694 to protect the eastern edge of Kingston against an invasion by the French. To thwart any eastward advance of the Morant Bay rebellion to Kingston, it was last staffed in 1865. The site that once protected Kingston Harbour is under the administration of the Jamaica National Heritage Trust.After an earthquake in 1907, a spring formed in the mountains above the area. Spring water now feeds into the Rockfort Mineral Baths located at the site of the fort.
