Christie Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Strathcona Drive and the community of Strathcona Park to the north, Sarcee Trail to the east, 17 Avenue S to the south and 69 Street W to the west. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956 from the Municipal District of Rocky View. Christie Park was established as a neighbourhood in 1990. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor.

Signal Hill is a community in Calgary, Alberta. It contains the residential neighbourhoods of Sienna Hills and Signal Ridge. It is bounded by Sarcee Trail to the east, 17th Ave to the north, Stoney Trail to the south and 69th St to the west. Battalion Park is established on the southern slopes of the hill and the shopping centres at Westhills Towne Centre, Signal Hill Centre, Westmarket Square and Signature Park Plaza serve the community. Located in the Signal Hill Centre area is a public library called Signal Hill, which serves the surrounding community.The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956, and Signal Hill was established in 1986. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor Jeff Davison, on a provincial level by Calgary West MLA Mike Ellis, and at federal level by Calgary Signal Hill MP Ron Liepert.

Strathcona Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Bow Trail to the north, Sarcee Trail to the east, Strathcona Drive and the community of Christie Park to the south and Strathcona Park Blvd to the west. Strathcona Park lies in the center of the neighbourhood. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956 from the Municipal District of Rocky View. Strathcona Park was established as a neighbourhood in 1980. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor.

It is bounded by Bow Trail to the north, 45 Street W to the east, 17 Avenue S to the south and Sarcee Trail to the west. Edworthy Park is located north of the community. The area was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956 and Westgate was established in 1957. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor.

Calgary Christian School (CCS) is an alternative program in the Palliser School division, delivering faith-based education to more than 750 students from preschool to Grade 12. CCS is located in the southwest corner of Calgary, Alberta and is a member of the Palliser Regional Division No. 26. CCS began teaching in 1963 and had its first graduating class from Grade 12 in 1978. The Calgary Society for Christian Education works in partnership with Palliser to deliver educational programming.

45 Street station is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is the fourth station from downtown on the West leg of the Blue Line. It opened for revenue service on December 10, 2012. On December 8, 2012, a preview of the West Line was provided.The station is located in a trench on the north side of 17 Avenue SW and west of 45 Street SW, 5.3 km West of the 7 Avenue & 9 Street SW Interlocking. No park & ride is provided and the station is a walk-on only with passengers arriving by Calgary Transit buses, cycling, walking or by vehicle drop off. The platforms are side-loading with grade-level access at the west end and stairs and ramps at the east end. The station serves the neighborhoods of Glendale, Rosscarrock, Westgate and Glenbrook. It is located immediately adjacent to the Calgary main office of the Alberta Motor Association, as well as a district Calgary Police Service station. 45 Street along with 69 Street are the first trenched stations to be built in Calgary. In its first year of service, 45 Street served an average of 3,630 boardings per day.

Rosscarrock is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by Bow Trail to the east by 33 Street W, to the south by 17 Avenue S and to the west by 45 Street W. The Westbrook Mall is located in the northeast corner of the neighbourhood, and it is bordered by the Shaganappi golf course. Rosscarrock was established in 1954. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 8 councillor.

Glendale is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located south of 17th Avenue SW, east of Sarcee Trail and Signal Hill and west of 37 Street SW and Killarney. The Optimist Athletic Park is located in this community. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor.

69 Street station is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is the sixth and terminal station on the West LRT line. The station was opened for the public on December 8, 2012, as part of a preview of the new West Line with an opening ceremony for the line. Revenue service started on December 10, 2012.The trenched station is located at the intersection of 69 Street SW and 17 Avenue SW, 8.2 km West of the 7 Avenue & 9 Street SW Interlocking. Ambrose University College and the new Ernest Manning High School, which replaced the old one at 17 Avenue & 33 Street SW, due to the construction of the Westbrook station, are located adjacent to the 69 St. SW station. Another major school, Rundle College, is located a block away. The station is also near the Westside Recreation Centre. 69 Street along with 45 Street are the first trenched stations to be built in Calgary. The centre-loading platform is accessed at both the east and west ends through station heads providing access to the platform via escalator, stairs, and an elevator. The station includes a large Park & Ride lot that can accommodate 840 vehicles and it includes a multi-level parkade.The West Line is planned to be extended further west, past 69 Street SW, to Aspen Woods and Springbank Hill, once the population of those areas is sufficient for LRT. The extension is not expected to happen until after 2023, so 69 Street SW will be the terminus station until at least then. In its first year of service, 69 Street served an average of 10,590 boardings per day.

Battalion Park is a geoglyph site in southwest Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located on Signal Hill, overlooking the Tsuu T'ina Nation (formerly Sarcee Nation), as well as lands formerly known as Camp Sarcee and later Sarcee Training Area, a military reserve used by the Canadian Forces from before the First World War up until the 1990s. The park extends over an area of 93 hectares (230 acres), north of the Elbow River. Its heritage value is associated with its dedication to the heroic efforts of Albertan soldiers during the First World War. The site contains four geoglyphs formed of large, whitewashed stones, spelling out the numbers 137, 113, 151, and 51. The stones, totalling 16,000 in all, form the centrepiece of the park. Arranged on the side of the hill, and visible from various parts of the city, they represent the battalions numbered 137th, 113th, 151st, and 51st.

It is bounded by Sarcee Trail to the east, Bow Trail to the south, 69 Street to the west and Old Banff Coach Road to the north. The lands were annexed to the city of Calgary in 1956 and Coach Hill was established in 1979. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor.This neighbourhood is served by the 69th Street CTrain station.

Glenbrook is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by 26 Avenue S to the north, 37 Street W to the east, Richmond Road to the south and Sarcee Trail to the west. The land was partly annexed to the City of Calgary in 1954, and partly in 1956. Glenbrook was established in 1958. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor.
