Barr Lake State Park

Barr Lake is an unincorporated community in Adams County, in the U.S. state of Colorado. It is located within the Denver metropolitan area. It is located next to the Barr Lake State Park. School District 27J serves Barr Lake. Kids attend Henderson Elementary School and Prairie View Middle School. Barr Lake was named for a Mr. Barr, a civil engineer for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. It was originally named Platte Summit.

KLTT (670 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Christian Talk format to the Denver, Colorado, and Colorado Springs, United States, areas. The station is currently owned by Crawford Broadcasting and is licensed to Colorado subsidiary KLZ Radio, Inc. With its 50,000-watt daytime signal, KLTT broadcasts can be received throughout most of the state. This powerful daytime signal reaches into southeastern Wyoming, northeastern New Mexico, and into the western portions of Nebraska and Kansas. At night, the station reduces power to 1,400 watts, with a directional signal to the north and south to protect Class-A clear-channel station WSCR in Chicago.

27J Schools is a school district headquartered in Brighton, Colorado. The district was established in 1959 when several existing school districts were consolidated. Will Pierce is currently the superintendent. The district includes sections of Adams County, Weld County, and Broomfield. In addition to Brighton it serves Aurora, Commerce City, Henderson, and Thornton. In August 2018 the district switched a four-day school week. In that period the district had around 18,000 students.

The Bromley Farm–Koizuma Hishinuma Farm is a historic farmstead in the vicinity of Brighton, Colorado, United States. Established shortly before 1899, it includes a complex of four buildings and multiple other historic structures. In 2007, the farm was designated a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places because of its historically significant architecture.It was a home of settler Emmet Ayers Bromley, who came to Colorado in 1877. Bromley was president of the First National Bank of Brighton and of the Gibraltar Oil Company. He served in the Colorado House of Representatives and in the Colorado Senate.

The city population was 62,418 at the 2020 United States Census, a 35.95% increase since the 2010 United States Census. Commerce City is the 18th most populous municipality in Colorado. Commerce City is located north of Denver and is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. Commerce City is a mixed residential and industrial community that is known for an oil refinery with a capacity of 90,000 barrels per day (14,000 m3/d), operated by Suncor. Dick's Sporting Goods Park, a soccer stadium in Commerce City, hosts the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.

Arrivo Corporation was a startup company in Los Angeles, California, that developed maglev rail. Arrivo initially attempted to commercialize a hyperloop, but abandoned the effort in November 2017 in favor of established transit technologies. In November 2017, Arrivo proposed a plan for a 200 mph (322 km/h) maglev system in Colorado that would transport automobiles to and from Denver International Airport.On December 14, 2018, Arrivo reportedly shut down due to being unable to secure Series A funding.

The Adams County Courthouse in Brighton, Colorado, located at 22 S 4th Ave., was built in 1906, and housed the judicial functions of Adams County until the 1970s when the legislation moved out and the building became the Brighton City Hall. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.As of 2020, it was serving as the Brighton City Hall.Its original portion is a two-and-a-half-story brick building built in 1906. It has a red-tiled roof and a cupola rising to 91 feet (28 m), which was later removed. The building was nearly doubled in area in 1939 in a Public Works Administration-funded expansion which used matching materials. The expansion created a monumental pedimented Classical Revival entrance with Tuscan columns on the west side of the building. The building is about 139 by 87 feet (42 m × 27 m) in plan.The original building was designed by John James Huddart and built by contractor A.B. McDonald. Denver architects Lester L. Jones and Richard O. Parry designed the expansion.

Continental Airlines Flight 1404 was a Continental Airlines flight from Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado, to George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas. On the evening of December 20, 2008, the flight crashed while taking off from Denver, resulting in two critical injuries, 36 noncritical injuries, and a hull loss of the Boeing 737-524 aircraft.
