Salado United Methodist Church is a historic church at Thomas Arnold Road and Church Street in Salado, Texas. It was built in 1890 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Salado Springs is the name of five groups of springs at the town of Salado in Bell County, Texas, in the United States. The springs are located 48 miles (77 km) north of Austin or 135 miles (217 km) south of Dallas. The springs, which are not saline (salado is Spanish for "salty"), were likely named for Salado Creek.

Built starting in 1852, the Stagecoach Inn of Salado, Texas, is thought to be the oldest extant structure in the village. The Inn was built as a stagecoach stop along the Chisholm Trail. The simple, two-story wood-frame building is in a frontier vernacular style. The structure was extended several times in the 1940s and 1950s to serve as a restaurant. The inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The inn has also been a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, since 2018., although its current name with the organization is the "Shady Villa Hotel." The nearby Salado Creek was designated a natural landmark in Texas in 1867.

The George Washington Baines House is located in the city of Salado, Bell County, Texas. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1981.George Washington Baines was the father of Joseph Wilson Baines, who was the father of Rebekah Baines, mother of Lyndon B. Johnson. A Baptist minister, Rev. Baines had been president of Baylor University, and traveled for the Baptist State Convention when he built this house around 1866. The Greek Revival style house is a frame one-and-one-half-story structure. The front of the house features a double-door transomed entrance. The porch is supported by square columns. Baines lived in this house from 1870 to 1882. Reverend Baines, his second wife Cynthia, daughter Anna Melissa, and son Taliaferro (Tollie) lived at the home.The Baines House Bed, Breakfast & Beyond Inn formerly operated at the property. It described the home as an "original Greek revival, Texas dogtrot style home with [a] salt box roof".

Salado College was a college in Salado, Texas, United States that operated from 1860 until 1885.

Salado ( sə-LAY-doh) is a town in Bell County, Texas, United States. Salado was first incorporated in 1867 for the sole purpose of building a bridge across Salado Creek. In 2000, the citizens of Salado voted in favor of reincorporation, before which it was a census-designated place. The population was 2,394 at the 2020 census.

The Col. Elijah Sterling Clack Robertson Plantation is a Southern plantation with a historic house located in Salado, Texas, USA. The National Register of Historic Places has listed it since April 5, 1983. Robertson built the house in the late 1850s, completing the construction of the main house in 1960. Robertson obtained the mansion's metal roof from Houston and used local limestone to build the kitchen, the stable, and quarters for the people he enslaved. In 1936, the Historic American Buildings Survey listed the plantation, which received a Texas Centennial Marker. In 1967, the plantation became a Texas Historic Landmark.

Salado High School is a public high school located in Salado, Texas (USA) and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. It is part of the Salado Independent School District located in southern Bell County. In 2021, the school was rated "A" by the Texas Education Agency.

Stillhouse Hollow Lake is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Lampasas River in the Brazos River basin, 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Belton, Texas, United States. Stillhouse Hollow Dam and the reservoir are both managed by the Fort Worth District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The reservoir was officially impounded in 1968, and serves to provide flood control for the communities downstream. The lake also functions as a water supply for several of the surrounding communities. Stillhouse Hollow Lake is a popular recreational destination.Stillhouse Hollow Lake is also commonly known as Stillhouse Hollow Reservoir. Due to the extraordinary drought condition in Central Texas, Stillhouse Hollow experienced the lowest ever recorded lake level in 2011, significantly exceeding its prior minimum of 610 ft set in 1989. At the close of 2011, the level of the lake stood at just over 605 ft.[1]

Union Grove is an unincorporated community in Bell County, in the U.S. state of Texas. According to the Handbook of Texas, only four people lived in the community in 2000. It is located within the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood metropolitan area.

The Bell County Expo Center is a 6,559-seat multi-purpose arena, in Belton, Texas. It was formerly the home of the Texas Bullets (PIFL), the CenTex Barracudas (IFL), the Central Texas Stampede (WPHL) and the Central Texas Blackhawks (and later Central Texas Marshalls). The arena opened in 1987. In 2017, it was home to the CenTex Cavalry of Champions Indoor Football. The Expo Center also hosts a wide variety of events, including fairs/carnivals, rodeos, concerts, local high school graduations, banquets, Livestock shows, conventions, Booster Clubs and Home and Garden/Craft shows, and is home to the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame.
