Ardpatrick House is a category-B-listed 18th-century country house in Ardpatrick, South Knapdale, Argyll and Bute, Scotland.

Dun Skeig is an oval Iron Age dun (fort) complex which is perched atop a rocky outcropping about 40 metres (130 ft) above sea level overlooking West Loch Tarbert in Kintyre, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) northwest of the village of Clachan. The dun site includes a collection of prehistoric buildings and evidence of human habitation. Most notable of the buildings on the site are a rocky Iron Age fort and a vitrified fort that has been grown over with ground vegetation. The Iron Age fort measures about 14 metres (46 ft) in diameter with an outer wall of 4 metres (13 ft) thick and has a single entrance. The moderately challenging climb to the peak and the views of the surrounding landscape that the vantage point offers make it clear why the site was selected as a defensive position.

The parish of Kilcalmonell is situated in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It extends from Clachan, in Kintyre to Kilberry, in Knapdale.

Clachan is a small village in North Kintyre, Argyll & Bute, Scotland. Clachan is the site of an old church, which was the principal church for the North Kintyre area. The church is surrounded by carved stone statues of the chiefs of the Clan Alasdair. Another group of standing stones (the tallest of which is 3.4 metres), and a burial cist, are found to the south of Clachan, near Ballochroy Farm. In 1971 it had a population of 108. The last major battle to be fought in Kintyre took place on the steep slopes of Loup Hill in May 1689. Here, the local forces of MacDonald of Largie, McAlester of Loup and McNeill of Gallichoille, all strong supporters of King James VII, were defeated by a government force. Clachan is also the site of Balinakill House. It was once the home of Coll McAlester, who led the first large settlement of highlanders in North Carolina at Cross Creek in the Cape Fear River valley in 1739, and later the home of Sir William MacKinnon. The house is now available for hire for various occasions.

Loup House is a manor house north of Clachan on the Kintyre peninsula of Argyll, Scotland. The estate was once home to the chiefs of Clan MacAlister, and the chief still takes the name "MacAlester of Loup". Sir William Mackinnon purchased the estate in 1867.

Balinakill House is a Victorian manor house to the east of the village of Clachan, Kintyre, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The house was built by Sir William Mackinnon, 1st Baronet of Strathaird and Loup, founder of the British India Steam Navigation Company, who purchased the estates of Balinakill and Loup in 1867. The house was completed in 1893.In 1941, the Keil School, Dumbarton, was moved to Balinakill House, due to the bombing attacks on the Glasgow area during World War II, and utilised the facilities for the duration of the war. Known as Balinakill Country House, it is currently available for exclusive use and holiday lets, and is protected as a category C listed building.

Kilberry (Scottish Gaelic: Cill Bheiridh) is a village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is close to the western coast of the district of Knapdale. Kilberry Castle, just to the west of the village, was built in 1497 as a L-plan castle by a cadet branch of Clan Campbell. The castle was destroyed by an English pirate in 1513. The ruins were incorporated into the present mansion, built in 1844 by John Campbell and enlarged in 1871. A group of sculptured stones, in the care of Historic Environment Scotland, are on display in a purpose-built shelter in the grounds of the castle. The stones, which include cross-slabs and medieval grave markers, originally came from the medieval parish church, which was destroyed in the 17th century.

West Loch Tarbert, Argyll is a long and narrow sea loch on the western side of the Kintyre peninsula in Scotland.

Kilberry Castle is a Category B listed country house near Kilberry in South Knapdale in the county of Argyll, in western Scotland on the shores of the Sound of Jura.

Dùn a' Choin Duibh (Scottish Gaelic: Fort of the Black Dog) is a hillfort located near Torinturk, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. According to the local shanachies, the fort is named after a black wolfhound which was half wolf, which defended the fort. The fort provides views to the Inner Hebridean islands of Gigha, Islay and Jura and further to the Mull of Kintyre and Ireland.

Whitehouse (Scottish Gaelic: An Taigh Bàn, pronounced [ən̪ˠ t̪ʰɤj ˈpaːn]) is a hamlet on the Kintyre peninsula of Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is located around 5.5 miles (9 km) southwest of Tarbert and around 25 miles (40 km) north of Campbeltown.

Eilean Ceann na Creige is a small island near Kennacraig in West Loch Tarbert in Scotland. Ceann na Creige is Gaelic for head of the rock.Eilean Ceann na Creige is connected to Kennacraig by a causeway. It is the mainland terminal of the ferry to Islay, Jura and Colonsay.
