Stafford Technical Center

Rutland High School is a senior high school located in Rutland, Vermont, and attended by students in grades 9-12. It has been located on Stratton Road since 1994. Prior to 1994 Rutland High School was located on Library Avenue (current Rutland Intermediate School). Prior to the Library Avenue location, Rutland High School was on Center Street (current Rutland City Fire Department location). The high school is a part of the Rutland City Public School District. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Its initial accreditation was in 1944, and its next review will be in 2029. As of its last accreditation the school had 820 students.The school is a comprehensive high school, and was founded in 1855. The school is located in an urban setting. It utilizes a 7.25 school day for 178 days a year. The school colors are red and black, with the mascot being the Raiders.

The Rutland-5-1 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Rutland-5-1 District includes a section of the Rutland County city of Rutland defined as follows: That portion of the City of Rutland encompassed within a boundary beginning at the point where the boundary line of Rutland City and Rutland Town intersects with Lincoln Avenue, then southerly along the east side of the centerline of Lincoln Avenue to the intersection of West Street, then easterly along the north side of the centerline of West Street across North Main Street, then easterly along the north side of Terrill Street to the intersection of Lafayette Street, then southerly along the east side of the centerline of Lafayette Street to the intersection of Easterly Avenue, then easterly along the north side of Easterly Avenue to the intersection of Easterly Avenue and Piedmont Drive, then easterly along the north side of the centerline of Piedmont Drive to the intersection of Piedmont Drive and Piedmont Parkway, then easterly along the centerline of Piedmont Parkway to the intersection of Piedmont Parkway and Stratton Road, then southerly along the easterly side of the centerline of Stratton Road to the intersection of Stratton Road and Killington Avenue, then easterly along the north side of the centerline of Killington Avenue, including both sides of Grandview Terrace, to the boundary between Rutland City and Rutland Town, then northerly following the boundary line to its intersection with Gleason Road, then westerly along the south side of the centerline of Gleason Road to Woodstock Avenue, then following the boundary line back to the point of beginning. The rest of the city of Rutland is in Rutland-5-2, Rutland-5-3, and Rutland-5-4. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The Chaffee Art Center for the Visual Arts is a non profit art center located in Rutland, Vermont. Operated by the Rutland Area Arts Association, the center's exhibit gallery usually displays artwork made by artists that reside in the Rutland County area. The Center offers visual art classes for children and adults.

Rutland Regional Medical Center is the second largest hospital and the largest community hospital in Vermont. Located in Rutland, Vermont, it opened in 1896.Rutland Hospital officially opened on September 6, 1896, with four physicians and ten beds. Major renovations and additions were completed in 1956 and 1989. The hospital's name was officially changed to Rutland Regional Medical Center in 1982. The hospital now has a main campus with 144 beds, as well as several other facilities throughout the Rutland region. In fiscal year 2018, Rutland Regional had over 33,000 emergency department visits, 7.000 inpatient admissions, and 300 births. Claudio Fort was named president and CEO in 2018.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary School is a historic school building at 10 Lincoln Avenue in Rutland, Vermont. Built in 1951, it is a rare example of International style architecture in the state, designed by Dirsa & Lampron of Manchester, New Hampshire. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

The Rutland Courthouse Historic District encompasses an architecturally cohesive area of civic and residential buildings in Rutland, Vermont. Roughly bounded by Court, Washington, South Main, and West Streets, the district was principally developed between 1850 and 1875, and includes a number of prominent municipal and county buildings, including the Rutland County courthouse, the Rutland Free Library, and the Grace Congregational United Church. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Rutland City Public Schools is the school district that manages public schools in Rutland City, Vermont, United States.

The Longfellow School, also known as Church Street School, is a historic school building at 6 Church Street in Rutland, Vermont. Built in 1890, it was the first purpose-built graded school in the city, serving as a model for later schools. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It now houses the administrative offices of the city schools.

The Paramount Theatre, also known as The Playhouse, is a historic performance theatre located in Rutland, Vermont. The theatre hosts many events and performances and is a contributing property to the Rutland Downtown Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rutland is the only city in and the seat of the county of the same name in Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 15,807. It is located approximately 65 miles (105 km) north of the Massachusetts state line, 35 miles (56 km) west of New Hampshire state line, and 20 miles (32 km) east of the New York state line. Rutland is the third largest city in the state of Vermont after Burlington and South Burlington. Rutland City is completely surrounded by Rutland Town, which is a separate municipality. The downtown area of the city is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places.
