Bank of the City of Buenos Aires

Florida is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened in December 1931 as part of the extension of the line from Carlos Pellegrini to Leandro N. Alem.It is located in the San Nicolás barrio, at the intersection of Avenida Corrientes and Calle Florida, and named after the latter.

San Nicolás is one of the neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires, Argentina, sharing most of the city and national government Neighborhood of Buenos Aires with neighboring Montserrat and home to much of the financial sector. It's referred usually as El Centro ("The Centre"), and the part east of the 9 de Julio Avenue is known as Microcentro. The limits of the neighbourhood are the Córdoba, Callao, Rivadavia, La Rábida Norte and Eduardo Madero Avenues. The district is home to 33,305 inhabitants.

The Museo Mitre (Spanish) (Mitre Museum) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a museum dedicated to Argentine history, as well as to the legacy of President Bartolomé Mitre.

The Galería Güemes is a commercial gallery located on Florida Street in the city of Buenos Aires designed in the art Nouveau style by Italian architect Francesco Gianotti in 1913.

The Safico Building is a 90-metre (300 ft) rationalist and art-déco skyscraper with some Bauhaus elements, built out of reinforced concrete in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1933. The construction was carried out by Swiss engineer Walter Möll and was completed in 10 months becoming one of the first skyscrapers of the city, only shorter than a few buildings in Buenos Aires, such as the Palacio Barolo. It contains both residential appartments and offices. Since the 1940s, important international media companies set their Argentine offices in the Safico Building, such as The Washington Post, the Financial Times, BBC and Reuters. Nobel Prize Laureate Pablo Neruda lived for a few months in the building when he worked as a diplomat. He wrote the second part to Residence on Earth while living there, as well as a few other poems. Spanish poet Federico García Lorca also went to the building many times to visit him. Its architectural relevance made it the building in which the Art-Déco World Congress took place in 2019, when it was visited by architects from all over the world.

The Odeon Theater (Teatro Odeón in Spanish) was a theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was built by Don Emilio Bieckert in the end of the 19th century. In July 1896, it hosted the first ever film screening in Argentina. It was demolished in 1991 in order to make space for the construction of a parking lot. Currently the Odeon Tower is being built on the site, and a new theater is being built on one side of the tower to replace the former.

The National Technological University (Spanish: Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, UTN) is a country-wide national university in Argentina, and considered to be among the top engineering schools in the country. Hosting over 75,000 students, its student body is comparable to Argentina's third-largest university (the National University of La Plata) and exceeded significantly only by the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) (over 300,000 students). It has 29 semi-independent branches of various sizes located all over the country. The engineering programs taught at most of those locations are: Aeronautical Engineering Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering (program heavily focused on Power Systems Engineering) Electronic Engineering (program oriented towards electronics and telecommunications engineering) Industrial Engineering Information Systems Engineering Mechanical EngineeringIt is the only national university in the country with a focus on engineering. Many of the available programs have an intermediate diploma as well, typically after completing up to the 3rd or 4th year (generally Analyst's and Technician's degrees). The university also offers a broad range of degrees at tertiary and postgraduate level, including those of specialist, master and doctorate (PhD) in Engineering. Due to its strongly federalized approach, it is the only university with campuses across the country, graduating almost 50% of the new engineers in Argentina. Research and Development is conducted in 18 official centers. Some of the areas these centers specialize in are: Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Energy research, Environmental Science, Robotics, Mechanics, and Construction Engineering.

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (Spanish: Banco Central de la República Argentina, BCRA) is the central bank of Argentina, being an autarchic entity. Article 3 of the Organic Charter lists the objectives of this Institution: “The bank aims to promote, to the extent of its powers and within the framework of the policies established by the national government, monetary stability, financial stability, employment, and economic development with social equity.

Citibank Argentina is a commercial bank and financial services company operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of New York-based Citigroup. Its banking operations are the tenth largest in Argentina. In October 2016, Citibank reached an agreement to sell its retail banking operations in Argentina to Banco Santander Río.

The Galicia Central Tower (Spanish: Torre Galicia Central) is an office skyscraper in Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently serving as the headquarters of the Grupo Financiero Galicia financial company. Completed between 2000 and 2007 and standing at 145 m (476 ft) tall with 33 floors, it is the twelfth tallest building in Buenos Aires.

Cine Monumental is a cinema at the junction of Calle Lavalle and Calle Esmerelda in Buenos Aires, Argentina. One of the classical cinemas of the country, built in the Art Deco style, it opened in 1931. With its grand auditorium seating 2,300, it acquired the nickname "The Cathedral of Cinema in Argentina". In the post-war years it was used mainly for stage shows, but in 1972 it was converted back to a cinema, with four screens. It closed in 1991, but was since refurbished and reopened ten years later. It is now operated by Cines Multiplex.
