Camden Park is a twenty-six acre amusement park located near Huntington, West Virginia. Established in 1903 as a picnic spot by the Camden Interstate Railway Company, it is one of only thirteen trolley parks that remain open in the United States. Whereas most trolley parks were located at the end of trolley lines, Camden Park is unusual in that it was built where riders traveling between Huntington and nearby cities would stop to change lines. Not long after opening, the park soon gained a carousel and other roadside attractions. Camden Park is West Virginia's only amusement park. The park is home to more than thirty rides and attractions, including a full-size traditional wooden roller coaster, the Big Dipper, and several other vintage rides. Over the years, Camden Park has featured a swimming pool, a roller rink, and even a small zoo. Today, the park hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including live musical performances as part of the "Hot Summer Nights" concert series. Other events include the "Children's Festival," "Coca-Cola Days," and the "Halloween Spooktacular." The park is typically open six days a week from late May to early August, with a more limited schedule in late August, and select dates in September and October.

Big Dipper is a wooden roller coaster at Camden Park that opened in 1958.

Twelvepole Creek is a 32.2-mile-long (51.8 km) river located in Wayne County, West Virginia. It is part of the Mississippi River watershed, by way of the Ohio River. It is alternately known as Twelve Pole Creek.

Burlington is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Lawrence County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 2,416 at the 2020 census. Connected to neighboring Huntington, West Virginia and connected via the West Huntington Bridge over the Ohio River, it is part of the Huntington–Ashland metropolitan area. Burlington was once the leading community of Lawrence County, being the first county seat and the location of the county's first post office.

Westmoreland is a primarily residential neighborhood located in Huntington, West Virginia, United States. While most of Huntington is in Cabell County, Westmoreland is the small portion of Huntington that lies in Wayne County. Westmoreland is the westernmost neighborhood in Huntington and is situated along the Ohio River. The neighborhood is protected by the floodwall that was built after the disastrous Ohio River Flood of 1937. Westmoreland is served by Kellogg Grade School and Vinson Middle School, and by nearby Spring Valley High School. Police and fire protection, and other municipal services, are provided by the City of Huntington.

Spring Valley High School is a high school located in an unincorporated portion of Wayne County, West Virginia, United States, with a postal address in the nearby city of Huntington. It is part of the Wayne County Board of Education system.

Z. D. Ramsdell House, also known as The Ramsdell House, is a historic home located at Ceredo, Wayne County, West Virginia, atop a mound claimed to be an Indian burial mound. It was built in 1857–1858, and is a two-story red brick and frame dwelling measuring 30 feet wide and 48 feet deep. It sits on a stone foundation and is in the Greek Revival-style with a gable roof. Zophar D. Ramsdell came to Ceredo at the invitation of the town's founder, and fellow abolitionist, Eli Thayer. He built a shoe and boot factory, served as a Captain and Quartermaster during the American Civil War, served as a postmaster after the war, and served as a legislative representative in the West Virginia State Senate during 1868 and 1869. The home is believed to be one of the last stops of The Underground Railroad before crossing the Ohio River to freedom. It is open as a historic house museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Fayette Township is one of the fourteen townships of Lawrence County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census the population was 8,494. Fayette Township includes Ohio's most southerly point.

Ceredo is a town in Wayne County, West Virginia, United States, situated along the Ohio River. The population was 1,450 at the 2010 census. Ceredo is a part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). As of the 2000 census, the MSA had a population of 288,649. The city is also near the location of the Southern Airways Flight 932 aviation disaster. On November 14, 1970, a McDonnell Douglas DC-9 airplane carrying the Marshall University football team crashed on a hillside on approach to the Tri-State Airport, killing all 75 on board. A movie about the tragedy, We Are Marshall, was released in 2006.

Camp Mad Anthony Wayne is located on Spring Valley Drive near Huntington, West Virginia, United States. Named for frontier army general Anthony Wayne, it contains vast open grounds, swings and sliding boards, hiking trails, numerous picnic tables, an open campfire circle, and a lodge. The facility sleeps 28 and contains a bathroom and shower facilities. It is host to two large wood-fired fireplaces. In 2002, part of Camp Wayne was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying because of its historically significant architecture. The designated area included a group of buildings dating between 1931 and 1944, including the lodge and seven houses.

WRVC (930 kHz) is an ESPN Radio–affiliated sports–formatted station licensed to Huntington, West Virginia, United States, and serving the greater Huntington–Ashland metropolitan area. The station is owned by Huntington–based Kindred Communications as part of a conglomerate with Ashland, Kentucky–licensed ESPN Radio–affiliated sports station WCMI (1340 AM), Catlettsburg, Kentucky–licensed active rock station WCMI-FM (92.7 FM), Ashland–licensed country music station WDGG (93.7 FM), Kenova, West Virginia–licensed adult contemporary station WMGA (97.9 FM), and Gallipolis, Ohio–licensed classic country station WXBW (101.5 FM). All six stations share studios on Fifth Avenue in downtown Huntington, while its transmitter facilities off of Park Avenue near I-64 in southwestern Huntington. In addition to its primary AM signal, WRVC also operates an FM translator on 94.1 FM as W231BS. Its transmitter is located at the Kindred studios in downtown Huntington.

Mitch Stadium is a baseball field located on the boundary line between the Town of Ceredo and the City of Kenova in West Virginia. It is home to the Ceredo-Kenova Little League and numerous annual community events. The stadium was created in 1955 and is named in honor of Elmer "Big Mitch" Mitchell, who served as groundskeeper at the facility for 27 years until his death in 1981. The facility at Mitch Stadium has previously hosted concerts, youth football and soccer events, and community carnivals and festivals. "The Mitch" has hosted 7 West Virginia Little League State Tournaments, the 1965 Little League Divisional Tournament, the 2009 Little League 2009 Little League Southeast Regional baseball and softball tournaments, and served as the initial host of the Little League 9-10 Year-Old Tournament of State Champions.
