The Michelsberg culture (German: Michelsberger Kultur (MK)) is an important Neolithic culture in Central Europe. Its dates are c. 4400–3500 BC. Its conventional name is derived from that of an important excavated site on Michelsberg (short for Michaelsberg) hill near Untergrombach, between Karlsruhe and Heidelberg (Baden-Württemberg). The Michelsberg culture belongs to the Central European Late Neolithic. Its distribution covered much of West Central Europe, along both sides of the Rhine. A detailed chronology, based on pottery, was produced in the 1960s by the German archaeologist Jens Lüning.

The Michaelsberg is a hill at Untergrombach near Bruchsal in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. A Neolithic settlement has been excavated at the top. It is the type site for the Michelsberg culture.

Untergrombach station is a "halt" (Haltepunkt) in the Bruchsal district of Untergrombach in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is located on the Rhine Valley Railway between Heidelberg and Karlsruhe and is served by lines S31 and S32 of the Karlsruhe Stadtbahn. In the peak hour several services on line S3 of the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn stop in Untergrombach.

Bruchsal Palace (Schloss Bruchsal), also called the Damiansburg, is a Baroque palace complex located in Bruchsal, Germany. The complex is made up of over 50 buildings. These include a three-winged residential building with an attached chapel, four pavilions separated by a road, some smaller utility buildings, and a garden. It is noted for its fine Roccoco decoration and in particular its entrance staircase, which is regarded as one of the finest examples of its kind in any Baroque palace. The palace was built in the first half of the 18th century by Damian Hugo Philipp von Schönborn, Prince-Bishop of Speyer. Schönborn drew on family connections to recruit building staff and experts in the Baroque style, most notably Balthasar Neumann. Although intended to be the permanent residence of the Prince-Bishops, they occupied it for less than a century. On 1 March 1945, only two months before the end of the Second World War, much of the palace was destroyed in an American air raid directed against nearby railway installations. It has since been completely rebuilt in a restoration project that lasted until 1996. The interiors have been partly restored and the palace now houses two museums.

St. Paulusheim is an independent Gymnasium in Bruchsal, Germany with sponsorship of the school foundation of the archdiocese of Freiburg. It was founded by the Pallottines, originally as a boys' boarding school. Paulusheim is rooted in a boarding school of the small Italian community of Masio near Alessandria. In 1915, Pallottines had to leave Masio because of the war. So they came to Bruchsal, the former homeland of the headteacher. After temporary accommodation in an inn, they moved into a new purpose-built building on the cloister hill in Bruchsal. During World War II, the nazis shut down the school for some time. However, it was the first school of Northern Baden to continue teaching. As there were not enough boarding school pupils, the boarding school was closed in the 80s, but the day school has been continued and expanded. Today approx. 750 Catholic and Protestant pupils attend this school. It offers a new and old language stream covering Latin, English, French and Ancient Greek. Spanish and Chinese are offered in extracurricular classes.

Bruchsal Sportzentrum station (German: Haltepunkt Bruchsal Sportzentrum) is a railway station in the municipality of Bruchsal, located in the Karlsruhe district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Bruchsal (German pronunciation: [ˈbʁʊxzaːl] (listen); orig. Bruohselle, Bruaselle, historically known in English as Bruxhall; South Franconian: Brusel) is a city at the western edge of the Kraichgau, approximately 20 km northeast of Karlsruhe in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on Bertha Benz Memorial Route. Bruchsal is the largest city in the district of Karlsruhe and is known for being Europe's largest asparagus producer and one of the economic centers of the region of Karlsruhe. The Bruchsal area also includes the cities and towns of Bad Schönborn, Forst, Hambrücken, Karlsdorf-Neuthard, Kraichtal, Kronau, Oberhausen-Rheinhausen, Östringen, Philippsburg, Ubstadt-Weiher and Waghäusel. Until 1972 Bruchsal was the seat of the district of Bruchsal, which was merged into the district of Karlsruhe as a result of the district reform, effective January 1, 1973. Bruchsal's population passed the 20,000 mark around 1955. When the new Body of Municipal Law for Baden-Württemberg went into effect on April 1, 1956, the city was therefore immediately awarded Große Kreisstadt status. In addition, Bruchsal cooperates with the neighboring communities of Forst, Hambrücken and Karlsdorf-Neuthard in administrative matters.

Bruchsal was a district (Kreis) in the administrative region of Nordbaden in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. To the district belonged 5 cities and 33 towns. The town of Bruchsal was the seat of the district and the license plate code was BR. Bruchsal district was dissolved as a result of the district reform effective January 1, 1973 when it was merged into the district of Karlsruhe.

Weingarten (Baden) (German: [ˈvaɪnɡaʁtn̩] (listen)) is a municipality in the district of Karlsruhe in southwestern Germany, situated at the transition from the Kraichgau to the Rhine valley. Its name means wine garden in German. Weingarten is located on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route. While remains of a settlement from Roman or earlier times have been found nearby, the village itself developed from a farm belonging to the Wissembourg monastery in Northern Alsace; 985 is considered to be the village's founding year. Until 1803, Weingarten belonged to the Electorate of the Palatinate; in the course of the Napoleonic wars it became part of the Grand Duchy of Baden. The population is about two thirds protestant, one third catholic. The village is connected by Bundesstraße (federal road) B 3 and the railroad Frankfurt am Main-Basel. Close by is the Bundesautobahn (motorway) A 5 for the Karlsruhe-Frankfurt am Main route. The village has its own elementary and secondary school; additional schools are in the neighbouring cities of Karlsruhe, Bruchsal, and Stutensee. The village's main industries are wine and fruit production, gastronomy, and wood, chemical, and metal production. For recreation, there are sports fields, an indoor swimming pool, a recreational lake, and the nature reserve Weingartener Moor. Also part of the municipality are the settlements Sallenbusch and Sohl in the Kraichgau hills, and Waldbrücke on the plain. The settlement of Sallenbusch was founded in June 1951 and constructed with the aid of U.S. soldiers. The first settlers arrived in July 1952.
