The Church of St. Martin in Landshut is a medieval church in Bavaria. St. Martin's Church, along with Trausnitz Castle and the celebration of the Landshuter Hochzeit (wedding), are the most important landmarks and historical events of Landshut. The Brick Gothic building features Bavaria's tallest church tower, and this steeple is also the 2nd tallest brick structure in the world (after Anaconda Smelter Stack) made without steel supports. St. Martin's church's bell tower has a height of 130.6 metres (428 ft).1

Bavaria-Landshut (German: Bayern-Landshut) was a duchy in the Holy Roman Empire from 1353 to 1503.

The Landshut Wedding (German: Landshuter Hochzeit) is one of the largest historical pageants in Europe. Countless visitors from all over the world have taken part, or have been spectators of the "Landshuter Hochzeit 1475", a pageant held in the city of Landshut, Bavaria, Germany. More than 2,000 participants in medieval costumes bring the festival to life to recreate the Late Middle Ages. It commemorates the wedding between Hedwig Jagiellon, daughter of the King of Poland, and George, the son of the Duke of Bavaria at Landshut. The original medieval wedding is re-enacted every four years, and everyone gets carried away with medieval jousting, pageantry, feasting and wedding processions for a short period in the summer.

Landshut (German: [ˈlantshuːt] (listen); Bavarian: Landshuad) is a town in Bavaria in the south-east of Germany. Situated on the banks of the River Isar, Landshut is the capital of Lower Bavaria, one of the seven administrative regions of the Free State of Bavaria. It is also the seat of the surrounding district and has a population of more than 70,000. Landshut is the largest city in Lower Bavaria, followed by Passau and Straubing, and Eastern Bavaria's second biggest city after Regensburg. Owing to its characteristic coat of arms, the town is also called "City of the three Helmets" (German: Dreihelmestadt). The town is popularly known for is picturesque gothic old town the Landshut Wedding a full-tilt medieval festival. The cityscape is dominated by the St. Martin's Basilica and Trausnitz Castle high above the old town. Due to its proximity and easy access to Munich and the Franz Josef Strauss International Airport, Landshut became a powerful and future-oriented investment area. The town is strongly industrialized (e.g. BMW plant, ebm-papst, Schott electronics), has Eastern Bavaria's lowest unemployment rate and is among the richest towns in Bavaria.

Trausnitz Castle is a medieval castle situated in Landshut, Bavaria in Germany. It was the home of the Wittelsbach dynasty, and it served as their ducal residence for Lower Bavaria from 1255–1503, and later as the seat of the hereditary rulers of the whole of Bavaria. The castle was founded in 1204 by Duke Ludwig I.

The Fanatec Arena (former: Eisstadion am Gutenbergweg; English: Gutenberg-road ice hockey venue) is an indoor sporting arena located in Landshut, Germany. It is primarily used for ice hockey. The complex of buildings consists of two ice rinks, one generally used for training purposes. The second arena is the home venue of EV Landshut, a professional ice hockey club participating in Germany's DEL2. The major arena currently holds 4,448 people. The (then) outdoor arena was inaugurated on 10 November 1957 on the current location of the stadium, ten years later the stadium was roofed. Until 1981 the venue was owned by the Eislaufverein Landshut (German for ice hockey association Landshut), but the increasing maintenance costs forced the association to sell the stadium to the City of Landshut. The city agreed on a treaty that gained the professional ice hockey team of the previous holder the right to use the stadium for their purposes, i.e. their compulsory games. Since then the owner of the stadium has not changed any more. After more than two years of renovation, the arena, which now bears the name of the sponsor Fanatec,[no] was reopened on October 31, 2021, with the regular season game EV Landshut vs. Lausitzer Füchse which ended 5-4OT. The rink now measures 60x28 m. The facilities of the building include the "Landesleistungszentrum für Eishockey" (German for intensive training centre for ice hockey in Bavaria). The stadium hosted the 2007 IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships and will host the 2022 IIHF World U18 Championships.

Kumhausen is a municipality in the district of Landshut in Bavaria in Germany. There was a sausage baked that was 5.88 km (3.65 mi) and 1.7 tons made there. It broke the record on June 27, 1999. It was made by 15 butchers, leading was Bernhard Ossner. To go with it, there was a 1.37 km (0.85 mi) long loaf of bread. Also said to set a record. Spectators had a chance to buy the sausage at the price of five German marks (US$2.65) per meter, with proceeds going to a charity for Romanian children.
