Bras Basah MRT station

Bras Basah Road (Chinese: 勿拉士峇沙路) is a one-way road in Singapore in the planning areas of Museum and Downtown Core. The road starts at the junction of Orchard Road and Handy Road, at the ERP gantry towards the Central Business District, and ends at the junction with Nicoll Highway, beyond which it becomes Raffles Boulevard. Several landmarks including Fairmont Singapore, Raffles Hotel, Singapore Art Museum, Cathedral of the Good Shepherd and the Singapore Management University are located along the road. A MRT station with the same name, Bras Basah MRT station, is on the Circle Line.

The Singapore Art Museum is an art museum located in the Downtown Core district of Singapore. Formerly a 19th-century Catholic school, it is the first fully dedicated contemporary visual arts museum in Singapore with one of the world’s most important collections by local, Southeast and East Asian artists. It collaborates with international art museums to co-curate contemporary art exhibitions. The museum consists of two adjacent sites. The main building, dating back to 1955 is the former Saint Joseph’s Institution on Bras Basah Road; the second building known as the 'SAM at 8Q' was the former Catholic High School on Queen Street. The museum organised the Singapore Biennale in 2011, 2013, 2016, 2019 and will continue to do so in 2022.

The former Saint Joseph's Institution (Chinese: 前圣约瑟书院) is a historic building in Singapore, located at Bras Basah Road in the Museum Planning Area, within the Central Area. The building previously housed the lasallian school Saint Joseph's Institution. However, it came into disuse after St. Joseph's Institution moved into a new campus on Malcolm Road in 1988. The building has since been restored and currently houses the Singapore Art Museum.

SAM at 8Q is the annexe of Singapore Art Museum - Singapore's contemporary art museum. Located at the heart of the city, it derives its name from the museum's location at No. 8 Queen Street near Bras Basah Road. SAM at 8Q is also approximately 88 steps away from Singapore Art Museum.

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul (Chinese: 圣伯多禄圣保禄堂) is a Roman Catholic church in Singapore. It is located at Queen Street within the Central Area known as the Bras Basah Bugis precinct of Singapore's arts district.

The Archdiocese of Singapore (Latin: Archidioecesis Singaporensis) is an exempt archdiocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church. Its territory includes all that is under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Singapore. Its current archbishop is William Goh Seng Chye. Goh took over the Archdiocese on 18 May 2013, after Pope Francis accepted the resignation of his predecessor Nicholas Chia Yeck Joo. The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, located within the Civic District, is the cathedral church of the Archdiocese of Singapore. As an exempt diocese, the archdiocese is not a part of an ecclesiastical province, but comes under the direct jurisdiction of the Holy See. The archdiocese is a member of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Singapore. It is located in the Museum Planning Area within the Civic District. Bounded by the parallel Queen and Victoria Streets, and Bras Basah Road, the Cathedral sits within shaded grounds. Much of its architecture is reminiscent of two famous London churches namely St Paul's, Covent Garden and St Martin-in-the-Fields. The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore and the seat of its archbishop. It is the final resting place of Bishop Edouard Gasnier, the first bishop of the revived Diocese of Malacca and aptly houses the relics of Saint Laurent-Marie-Joseph Imbert, to whom the Cathedral owes its name.

The Maghain Aboth Synagogue (Hebrew: מגן אבות, translit: Ma'gen Ahvot, "Guardian of Patriarchs") is a synagogue in Singapore. It is located at 24/26 Waterloo Street in the Rochor Planning Area, within the Central Area in Singapore's central business district. The synagogue was constructed by 1878. It is the oldest Jewish synagogue in Southeast Asia. It is presently managed by the Jewish Welfare Board and it remains to be the main place of worship for the Jewish community in Singapore. Till today, there are still several Jewish buildings standing within its vicinity. Descendants of some of Singapore's earliest Jewish settlers are still living and doing business in Singapore.

The Maghain Aboth Synagogue attack plot was a plot in February 2021 by 20-year old national serviceman Amirull Ali to stab three members of the Maghain Aboth Synagogue in retaliation for Israel's role in the Israel-Palestine conflict. In addition, Ali had planned to travel to Gaza to join Hamas' military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. The plot was uncovered by the Internal Security Department, which detained Ali under the Internal Security Act.

Caledonian Hotel was a British-styled hotel located along Bras Basah Road in Bras Basah, Singapore. It is believed that the hotel was the only "British hotel in Singapore" at the time of its opening in the early 20th century.
