Chinese Garden MRT station

Chinese Garden is a park in Jurong East, Singapore. Built in 1975 by the JTC Corporation and designed by Prof. Yuen-chen Yu, an architect from Taiwan, the Chinese Garden's concept is based on Chinese gardening art. The main characteristic is the integration of architectural features with the natural environment. The Chinese Garden is modeled along the northern Chinese imperial style of architecture and landscaping. It is located next to Chinese Garden MRT station and connected to the adjacent Japanese Garden by a bridge. Along with Japanese Garden, the two gardens are collectively known as the Jurong Gardens.

Jurong East Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Jurong East, Singapore. It is opened from 7am to 7.30pm. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Albirex Niigata Singapore FC and Tanjong Pagar United. The stadium holds 2,700 people and opened in 1998. It is one of only three stadiums in Singapore that does not have a running track, and was built to serve only as a football stadium.

Jurong Lake (Chinese: 裕廊湖; Malay: Tasik Jurong ; Tamil: ஜூரோங் ஏரி) is a 70ha freshwater lake and reservoir located in the western region of Singapore formed with the damming of Sungei Jurong further downstream. The lake serves as a reservoir contributing to the water supply of the country. It lies next to the Lakeside MRT station, which derived its name from this geographical feature. The lake is surrounded by parkland, which serves as a recreational ground for nearby residents in Jurong East and Jurong West New Towns. A landscaped sanctuary called Jurong Lake Park was built around the perimeter of the lake and work was completed in January 2006. Also, a 2.8 kilometre water promenade along Jurong Lake Park would allow residents to participate in watersports. The inner running track starting from Chinese garden bridge and back is 3.4 kilometers in length. As is the case for most other reservoirs in Singapore, swimming is currently illegal in the lake, although this may change in line with the Singapore government's liberalisation of the use of bodies of water in the republic. Fishing is now allowed in some designated spots around the lake where only artificial baits can be used for fishing. However, the water is noted to be green in colour during dry weather and a murky brown after a downpour, the likely result of runoff from its urban catchment area.

Japanese Garden (Japanese: 日本庭園) is a park and garden located in Jurong East, Singapore. Built in 1974 by JTC Corporation, it covers 13.5 hectares (135,000 m2) of land.It is built on an artificial island in Jurong Lake and is connected to the adjacent Chinese Garden island by bridge named the Bridge of Double Beauty. Along with the aforementioned Chinese Garden, the two gardens are collectively known as the Jurong Gardens.

Bukit Batok West MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region Line located along the boundary of Bukit Batok and Jurong East planning areas, Singapore.

Snow City is Singapore's first indoor snow centre located within the Science Centre Singapore area, beside the Omni-Theatre in Jurong East.

The Omni-Theatre is an observatory and large-format film theatre located at the Science Centre Singapore (formerly Singapore Science Centre) in Jurong East, Singapore.

Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS) is a government funded body in Singapore founded in 1967 and re-purposed in 1976 when some functions were invested into the Singapore Association for the Advancement of Science (SAAS).Since 2011, SNAS has begun to elect her own fellows.

Jurongville Secondary School (JVSS) (Chinese: 丰嘉中学) located at Jurong East Avenue 1 was established on 15 December 1993. The pioneer group of 9 teachers, with the addition of 15 more teachers later in the year, formed the nucleus of the new school. The first Principal was Sun Huey Min, who was also the incumbent Principal of Commonwealth Secondary School (CSS) at that time. She served as the school's principal from December 1993 to December 1995. In January 1994, JVSS, housed within Commonwealth Secondary itself, opened its doors to 507 Secondary One pupils, spread over 14 classes - 6 Express, 5 Normal Academic and 3 Normal Technical. In December 1995, Mohd Khairunan took over as the next Principal. However, it bid farewell to CSS which was to be relocated to new premises. JVSS was to remain on the same site and officially take over the location as their home. In July 1997, the school was officially opened. The Guest of Honour was Kenneth Chen Koon Lap, Member of Parliament for Hong Kah Group Representation Constituency. Later on, a new extension block was built. This was officially opened by Ms Ho Peng, Deputy Director Schools 2, Ministry of Education, on 17 April 1999. In December 2000, Khairunan left the school with Ong Kock Hua taking over as the third Principal of JVSS. It was under his tenure that the Cluster Science Learning Centre was officially opened on 19 April 2002. The Guest of Honour was Professor Leo Tan, Director, National Institute of Education. It was also during his tenure that the school celebrated its 10th Anniversary. The celebrations were launched by Lim Boon Heng, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Member of Parliament for Jurong Group Representation Constituency, during the Speech and Prize-Giving Day on 9 May 2003.

Crest Secondary School is the first Specialised School for Normal Technical (SSNT) students in Singapore. It commenced its first year of operation in January 2013.The school engages the Normal Technical students through a curriculum that largely integrates the academic learning often experienced in mainstream schools as well as the vocational training done in Singapore's Institute of Technical Education (ITE).Unlike the mainstream way of being posted to a shortlisted secondary school by Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore, students must apply directly to Crest Secondary School after their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

Toh Guan MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region line (JRL) in Jurong East, Singapore. Announced on 9 May 2018, it will be constructed as part of Phase 2 of the JRL. The station is located in the Jurong East planning area at the junction of Toh Guan Road and Jurong East Avenue 1 to the north.

Tengah Park MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region line located along the boundary of Tengah and Bukit Batok planning areas, Singapore.
