Berne Abbey

Gymnasium Bernrode is a gymnasium in Heeswijk, Netherlands. It was established in 1886 by Gerlacus van den Elsen, abbot of the Berne Abbey, a Norbertine monastery.

Heeswijk-Dinther (population: 7,985) is a town and former municipality in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant being named after the former municipalities Heeswijk and Dinther. The municipality was created in 1969, and became a part of Bernheze in 1994. Likewise, the town itself consisted of the former villages of Heeswijk and Dinther, which have grown together. After the merger into Bernheze, the town has been split up into Heeswijk and Dinther again. In 2008 the town was registered with the government as a single town. Only in 2017, the town is officially called Heeswijk-Dinther. The municipality of Dinther included the town of Loosbroek.

Aan de Pegstukken (English: At the Pegstukken) is a windmill located on De Pegstukken 27 in Schijndel, North Brabant, Netherlands. Built in 1845 on an artificial hill, the windmill functioned as a gristmill. The mill was built as a tower mill and its sails have a span of 25.25 metres (82.8 ft). The mill is a national monument (nr 33574) since 19 September 1973. The name of the mill comes from the street it is located on.

Laar is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Sint-Michielsgestel, 2 km east of the town of Berlicum.Laar is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Berlicum. It has no place signs, and consists of about 85 houses.It was first mentioned in 1866 as Laar, and means "forest meadow".

Schijndel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsxɛindəl] (listen)) is a town and former municipality in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. Schijndel is located approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) southeast of 's-Hertogenbosch. Schijndel was founded on 6 December in the year 1309. On 1 January 2017 Schijndel, together with Veghel and Sint-Oedenrode, merged into a new municipality called Meierijstad creating the largest municipality of the province North-Brabant in terms of land area.

Eerde is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is part of the municipality of Meierijstad, located about 500 m west of the built-up area of Veghel and 3 km southwest of the town centre of Veghel. During Operation Market Garden, in September 1944, it changed hands several times between German and American forces but ended up in American hands; the village was severely damaged in the process.The village was first mentioned in 1309 as Eirde, and means earth. Eerde was home to 174 people in 1840. It used to be part of three municipalities. In 1966, the whole are became part of Veghel and since 2016, it is part of Meierijstad.

Borne is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Meierijstad, just to the west of the centre of the town of Schijndel.

Meierijstad (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌmɛiəˈrɛistɑt]) is a municipality in the province of North Brabant. The municipality is the result of a merger between the municipalities Schijndel, Sint-Oedenrode and Veghel in 2017. After the merger it became the largest municipality in terms of land area of North Brabant (surpassed by Altena in 2019). The town of Veghel hosts the town hall, while the municipal council holds its meetings at the former town hall of Sint-Oedenrode.
