Lake Winnisquam

Ahern State Park is a 128-acre (52 ha) state protected area in Laconia on Lake Winnisquam in New Hampshire's Lakes Region. It is open year-round and offers hiking, non-motorized boating, biking, and fishing. It features 3,500 feet (1,100 m) of lake shoreline.

Lakes Region Facility was a state prison in Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire, in the United States. The facility was operated by the New Hampshire Department of Corrections, and has been closed as of June 30, 2009 as a result of the late-2000s recession.The Lakes Region Facility was a minimum custody transitional facility. Its capacity is 400 inmates but averaged about 300 male inmates. The warden of the facility oversaw inmates housed there as well as inmates in the Calumet and North End Transitional Housing Units, as well as the Transitional Work Center. Lakes Region Facility minimum-security offenders provided over 30,000 hours of community service to state and county agencies and Laconia-area non-profit organizations. The Lakes Region Facility employed 153 people, including 105 corrections officers and 48 non-uniformed employees. Lakes Region was a minimum security transitional prison. In 2004, it became an entirely male facility: minimum security female prisoners were relocated to the Shea Farm Halfway House in Concord, New Hampshire.

Robbie Mills Field is a baseball venue located in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. It was home to the Winnipesaukee Muskrats of the collegiate summer New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). The Muskrats began play there in the 2010 season. The field was built in 2005 and is named after Robbie Mills, a Laconia boy who was killed and robbed of his bicycle in 1998.Robbie Mills Field has a seating capacity of 1,200 spectators, in uncovered bleachers beyond both the first-base and third-base dugouts. There is also a small bleacher section beyond centerfield, and fans can set up their own lawn chairs beyond the outfield and behind the backstop.

The Bay Meeting House and Vestry, now the Second Baptist Church, is a historic church complex on Upper Bay and Steele Roads in Sanbornton, New Hampshire. Built in 1836 for a Free Will Baptist congregation headed by Moses Cheney, the church is a good example of transitional Federal and Gothic Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Opechee Bay is a 449-acre (1.82 km2) lake located in Belknap County in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire, United States, in the city of Laconia. It is located directly downstream from Paugus Bay and Lake Winnipesaukee, and it connects by a one-mile segment of the Winnipesaukee River through the center of Laconia to Lake Winnisquam. The lake is classified as a cold- and warmwater fishery, with observed species including brook trout, rainbow trout, land-locked salmon, lake trout, lake whitefish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, white perch, black crappie, and bluegill.

The Cake Theater (formally known as Meredith Bridge Congregational Church, Laconia Congregational and, Evangleical Baptist Church) is a historic building on Veterans Square in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. Built in 1836 and extensively restyled in 1871, it is a fine 19th-century building, illustrating adaptive alterations made over time to reflect changing uses and tastes. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.[1]

The Laconia Passenger Station is a historic railroad station at 9-23 Veterans Square in downtown Laconia, New Hampshire. It was built in 1892 for the Boston and Maine (B&M) Railroad and is a prominent regional example of Richardsonian Romanesque style architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The building now houses a variety of commercial businesses.

The former Federal Building in Laconia, New Hampshire, is located at 719 Main Street. Originally built to house the offices of the White Mountain National Forest, it now houses a regional social services agency. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011. The two-story brick Classical Revival structure was designed by Louis A. Simon and completed 1940.

The Gale Memorial Library is the public library of Laconia, New Hampshire. It is located at 695 Main Street in a Richardsonian Romanesque building, whose 1901–03 construction was funded by a bequest from Napoleon Bonaparte Gale, a local banker. The building was designed by Boston architect Charles Brigham, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The John W. Busiel House is a historic house at 30 Church Street in Laconia, New Hampshire. It was built in 1865 by John W. Busiel, owner of a local textile mill. It is now, as it was at the time of its construction, one of the finest 19th-century houses in the city, and is an excellent and little-altered example of Second Empire style. Since 1905 it has served as the rectory for the St. Joseph Roman Catholic church. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Colonial Theatre Complex is a group of historic buildings in Laconia, New Hampshire. There are three sections to the complex: the Piscopo Block, Colonial Theatre, and Canal Street Annex. The Piscopo Block, which contains the main entrance to the theatre, is distinguished by a large marquee spelling out "COLONIAL" that is located on Main Street (New Hampshire Route 106). The complex was built in 1914, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

The U.S. Post Office-Laconia Main is a historic post office building at 33 Church Street in Laconia, New Hampshire. Occupying a prominent corner site near the city's central business district, it was built in 1916-17 and is a prominent regional example of Beaux Arts architecture. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
