Lancaster High School is a public, co-educational high school located in Lancaster, California, United States. Founded in 1995, it is the sixth oldest comprehensive high school in the Antelope Valley Union High School District.

Antelope Valley Medical Center (AVMC) is a public hospital located in Lancaster, California specializing in acute care. It has 420 beds and is accredited by the Joint Commission. In March 2010 AVMC was declared one of the 14 trauma centers in Los Angeles County.

Students On Academic Rise (SOAR) High School is an early college high school in Lancaster, California. The high school is a joint project of the Antelope Valley Union High School District and Antelope Valley College. SOAR stands for Students on Academic Rise. The school was founded in 2006. SOAR integrates the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) college-preparatory program as a mandatory elective course for all grade levels. Throughout its history, the school has been served by three principals: Michael Dutton, Chris Grado, and Dr. Stephanie Herrera. Two SOAR High School students represented SOAR's InvenTeam at the 2015 White House Science Fair. Alumni have enrolled in Harvard, MIT, Columbia, Northwestern, Princeton, UC Berkeley, the University of Chicago, Stanford, UCLA, and many other four-year universities throughout the United States. Interested students must apply for the program by the annual February deadline, which can be found on the school's website. Applicants are then invited for an interview, and the admissions decisions are announced sometime in late spring. In 2022, SOAR opened a second campus on Antelope Valley College's Palmdale Center. The inaugural class of 75 students will graduate in 2026.

Lancaster is a twin city with its southern neighbor Palmdale; together, they are the principal cities within the Antelope Valley region.Lancaster is located approximately 70 miles (110 km) north (via I-5 and SR 14) of downtown Los Angeles and is near the Kern County line. At its current location, MOAH is an anchor of the BLVD, the community-focused development of Lancaster Blvd. Opened in 2012, the Museum consists of three floors and 20,000 square feet of programmable space. Bethel Christian School (BCS) is a private, Baptist, Toddler-8th Grade Christian school in Lancaster, California. The school was established in 1979. At that time, the school, with 67 students and four teachers, used all of the facilities of the 4-acre (1.6 ha) church campus; the classrooms were initially located in Building 100. Building 200, the second phase of the school, was completed by September 1980. At that time the school had 150 students. The church and school purchased 5 acres (2.0 ha) of land adjacent to the original property, expanding the size of the property to 9 acres (3.6 ha). The church and school also acquired additional modular buildings, allowing expansion. The first senior class, consisting of six students, graduated in June 1989. In the 1990s BCS grew to well over 600 students.Bethel Christian School is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

The Western Hotel is a hotel built in 1888 by the Gilroy family. It is the oldest surviving building in Lancaster, California. The Western Hotel was designated a California Historic Landmark (No.658) on September 26, 1958. The Western Hotel is located at 557 West Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster, California, in Los Angeles County. George T. Webber purchased the Hotel and ran it as the Western Hotel. The hotel was built on a train stop that was built in 1876 by the Southern Pacific railroad. The line ran through the Antelope Valley, linking San Francisco to Los Angeles. The Hotel's large dining room became the meeting spot for the city. In the dining room: The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce was started, church socials held, quilting bees meetings, card parties, civic club meetings, and many Lancaster business meetings. While the Los Angeles-Owens River Aqueduct was being built, many of the construction crews were housed in the Hotel from 1905 to 1913. The Western Hotel in 1992 was remodeled to a small museum and offers free tours.

Lancaster Community Hospital (LCH) was a private hospital located in Lancaster, California. It was closed after the opening of Palmdale Regional Medical Center.

The Aerospace Walk of Honor in Lancaster, California, USA, honors test pilots who have contributed to aviation and space research and development. The Aerospace Walk of Honor awards were established in 1990 by the City of Lancaster "to recognize the important contributions of unique and talented aviators who soared above the rest." Lancaster is located in the Antelope Valley, near four flight test facilities: US Air Force Plant 42, Edwards AFB, Mojave Air and Space Port and Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. The Walk of Honor program officially concluded in August 2009.The Walk of Honor is located on Lancaster Boulevard between Sierra Highway to the east and 10th Street West and is anchored by Boeing Plaza, which has a restored F-4 Phantom II on display. Honorees are memorialized with granite monuments located along Lancaster Boulevard. Test pilots who receive awards were inducted annually in late summer. The Walk of Honor monuments and activities are funded by several aerospace companies, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, all of which perform flight test operations in the Antelope Valley.

Lancaster station is owned by and located in the city of Lancaster, California. It serves as a transfer point for several public transportation bus routes as well as the final Metrolink train station on the Antelope Valley Line that originates 69 miles (111 km) away in downtown Los Angeles, at Union Station. Lancaster station is served by 18 Metrolink Antelope Valley Line trains (9 in each direction) each weekday running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. Weekend service consists of 12 trains (6 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday evenly spaced throughout the day.
