The Aerospace Walk of Honor in Lancaster, California, USA, honors test pilots who have contributed to aviation and space research and development. The Aerospace Walk of Honor awards were established in 1990 by the City of Lancaster "to recognize the important contributions of unique and talented aviators who soared above the rest." Lancaster is located in the Antelope Valley, near four flight test facilities: US Air Force Plant 42, Edwards AFB, Mojave Air and Space Port and Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. The Walk of Honor program officially concluded in August 2009.The Walk of Honor is located on Lancaster Boulevard between Sierra Highway to the east and 10th Street West and is anchored by Boeing Plaza, which has a restored F-4 Phantom II on display. Honorees are memorialized with granite monuments located along Lancaster Boulevard. Test pilots who receive awards were inducted annually in late summer. The Walk of Honor monuments and activities are funded by several aerospace companies, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, all of which perform flight test operations in the Antelope Valley.

The Western Hotel is a hotel built in 1888 by the Gilroy family. It is the oldest surviving building in Lancaster, California. The Western Hotel was designated a California Historic Landmark (No.658) on September 26, 1958. The Western Hotel is located at 557 West Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster, California, in Los Angeles County. George T. Webber purchased the Hotel and ran it as the Western Hotel. The hotel was built on a train stop that was built in 1876 by the Southern Pacific railroad. The line ran through the Antelope Valley, linking San Francisco to Los Angeles. The Hotel's large dining room became the meeting spot for the city. In the dining room: The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce was started, church socials held, quilting bees meetings, card parties, civic club meetings, and many Lancaster business meetings. While the Los Angeles-Owens River Aqueduct was being built, many of the construction crews were housed in the Hotel from 1905 to 1913. The Western Hotel in 1992 was remodeled to a small museum and offers free tours.

At its current location, MOAH is an anchor of the BLVD, the community-focused development of Lancaster Blvd. Opened in 2012, the Museum consists of three floors and 20,000 square feet of programmable space. Special focus is given to exhibitions and engagement that connect relevant arts to the region's history, ranging from Native Americans and pioneers to aerospace.

Antelope Valley High School is located in Lancaster, California, and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District, in northernmost Los Angeles County, California. It was founded in 1912, and had its first graduating class in 1912. It is located near the western edge of the Mojave Desert. At the time of its founding, classes were held at the Women's Independence Hall on Cedar Ave. and Lancaster Blvd. (then called West Tenth Street) until a permanent building could be built. In July 1914, construction was planned to begin on a concrete building, Central Hall, but construction didn’t begin until 1915 and was completed in mid-1915. However, a strike over unpaid wages prevented students from entering the new building at the beginning of the 1915 school year. It was settled, and students began their classes in the new building in October 1915. The school was a residential boarding school serving students from farms and ranches from north Los Angeles and south Kern counties. At present, the school primarily serves the population of Lancaster, California.

As of mid-September, 2022, the two towers that were the center of the facility are no longer standing. However the rest of the plant is still present.
