Christian IV's Brewhouse

The Lapidarium of Kings (Kongernes Lapidarium) is a lapidarium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It exhibits a royal collection of sculptures, natural stone figures and plaster models. The museum is situated in the 400 year old brewhouse of King Christian IV. During the years leading up to 2013, the Board of the Palace and Culture Agency (Styrelsen for Slotte & Kulturejendomme), with the support of TrygFonden, implemented a fire protection of the 8,000-storey square meter brew house, to enable the building to be opened to the public. Lapidarium was officially opened on June 3, 2014. The collection consists of 300 statues, sculptures and ornamentation in different materials gathered from royal gardens, palaces and buildings. Among the treasures are a model of the equestrian statue of King Frederick V at Amalienborg, and the original equestrian statue of Christian V at Kongens Nytorv.

Færøsk Pakhus (English: Faroese Warehouse) is a small warehouse building located at Frederiksholm Canal, on Slotsholmen, in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is now used by the Ministry of Education.

Søren Kierkegaards Plads is a harbourside public square on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark, named after Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. It occupies a strip of waterfront between the Black Diamond, whose main entrance faces the square, and the Frederiksholm Canal. Away from the water, the square is faced by Christian IV's Brewhouse as well as his old arsenal, now housing the Royal Military Museum. The thoroughfare Christians Brygge runs through the square which is connected to the water by "ghats" which also serve as seating for spectators for the occasional performances on a floating stage in the harbour basin.

Proviantgården or Provianthuset is a historic building on Slotsholmen in Copenhagen, Denmark. The building was originally constructed in the early 1600s as part of a Christian IV's naval harbor project. Its name, Proviantgården (English: provisions yard), is in reference to its initial role as a provisions depot. Today, the building is used by Folketinget's administration, housing offices for MPs as well as the Copenhagen reading rooms of the National Archives.

The Danish Design Center (DDC) is Denmark’s national center for design. Established in 1978, DDC is a non-profit foundation under the Danish Ministry of Business, Industry and Financial Affairs. The role of DDC is to promote the use of design in business and industry, help professionalise the design industry, and document, promote and brand Danish design in Denmark and abroad. The Danish Design Center is rooted in Denmark’s design history and in the values of Danish design but is oriented towards the future. It is the vision of DDC to use design as a method and mindset to solve some of society's greatest challenges, particularly within the green, social and digital transitions.The Danish Design Center is located in BLOX, a hub for design, architecture and urban innovation in Copenhagen, and the CEO is Christian Bason.

Christians Brygge (lit. "Christian's Quay") is a waterfront and street in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It runs from the mouth of Slotsholmen Canal in the north to Langebro Bridge in the south where it turns into Kalvebod Brygge. Its northern end, which is located on the small isle of Slotsholmen, is connected to Niels Juels Gade and then Holmens Kanal by Christian IV's Bridge. Christians Brygge The road section is part of Ring 2. The name refers to Christian IV, king of Denmark during the first half of the 17th century, who constructed several buildings at the site, including the Arsenal (now home to the Royal Danish Arsenal Museum) and Christian IV's Brewhouse as well as nearby Børsen. Other landmarks along the quay include the Royal Danish Library and the mixed-use building BLOX, home to the Danish Architecture Centre.

The Danish War Museum (Danish: Krigsmuseet) is a museum of military history and arms on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located in Christian IV's Arsenal (Danish: Tøjhuset), from which it takes its former name. On 1 July 2018, the name was changed from the Royal Danish Arsenal Museum (Danish: Tøjhusmuseet) to The Danish War Museum, in order to make it easier for guest to discern the nature of the museum.

Christian IV's Arsenal (Danish: Christian IV's Tøjhus), is a historic building on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was built by Christian IV of Denmark in 1604 as part of a grand scheme for the construction of a new naval harbour. The arsenal, along with several other buildings, surrounded the harbour basin which was connected to the main harbour by a narrow canal. Later, when ships became too large to enter the harbour, the fleet moved to Bremerholm and the decommissioned naval harbour was later filled in. Today Christian IV's Arsenal houses the Tøjhus Museum, a museum of weapons and military history, while the site of the former naval harbour has become the Royal Library Garden.

Danish Architecture Center (Danish: Dansk Arkitektur Center), (DAC), is Denmark’s national center for the development and dissemination of knowledge about architecture, building and urban development. DAC’s objective and legitimacy consist in promoting co-operation across the professional boundaries of the construction sector and architecture so that the players, working together, are able to contribute to the forward-looking development of architecture and construction specifically and Danish society in general. The DAC’s core funding is provided by a public-private partnership between Realdania and the Danish government. The government is represented by: the Ministry of Business Denmark and the Ministry of Culture Denmark.

Fæstningens Materialgård is a former military storage facility at 30 Frederiksholms Kanal in Copenhagen, Denmark. Arranged around a central courtyard, the individual buildings have been built to a homogeneous design, all with yellow-washed facades, green doors and gates, white window frames and red tile roofs, but they have in fact been accumulated over an extended period of time, mainly between 1740 and 1925. They also integrate visually and physically with the adjacent Civiletatens Materialgård, a storage facility associated with the royal palaces, and the Royal Horse Guards Barracks, together forming an area of low, yellow buildings surrounded on three sides by Frederiksholm Canal, Bryghusgade and Vester Voldgade. The International Federation for Housing and Planning was one of the very first tenents moving into 30 Frederiksholms Kanal in December 2012

The Royal Horse Guards Barracks (Danish: Hestegardekassernen), at 26 Frederiksholms Kanal in Copenhagen, Denmark, served as barracks for the Royal Horse Guards from 1792 until 1866. The building is located along the south side of a gated alleyway which connects Frederiksholm Canal to Vester Voldgade. Together with Civiletatens Materialgård and Fæstningens Materialgård, it forms a cluster of low, yellow-washed buildings all of which are listed, on the Zealand side of the canal, opposite the small island Slotsholmen with Christiansborg Palace. The Hay Storage Building at the end of the barracks building, facing Vester Voldgade, originally stored hay for the King's horses at the Royal Stables but later also served the Royal Horse Guards. Both the Royal Horse Guards Barracks and the Hay Storage building are now used by the Ministry of Education.

Civiletatens Materialgård is a former storage facility at Frederiksholm Canal in Copenhagen, Denmark. The complex was used for the storing of materials used for the royal palaces but also has a long history as home and work place for sculptors associated with the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Together with the adjacent Fæstningens Materialgård, its military counterpart, and the Royal Horse Guards Barracks, it forms a cluster of low, yellow-washed buildings alongside Frederiksholm Canal. It now houses the Art Academy's School of Sculptury as well as residences.
