Civiletatens Materialgård

The Royal Horse Guards Barracks (Danish: Hestegardekassernen), at 26 Frederiksholms Kanal in Copenhagen, Denmark, served as barracks for the Royal Horse Guards from 1792 until 1866. The building is located along the south side of a gated alleyway which connects Frederiksholm Canal to Vester Voldgade. Together with Civiletatens Materialgård and Fæstningens Materialgård, it forms a cluster of low, yellow-washed buildings all of which are listed, on the Zealand side of the canal, opposite the small island Slotsholmen with Christiansborg Palace. The Hay Storage Building at the end of the barracks building, facing Vester Voldgade, originally stored hay for the King's horses at the Royal Stables but later also served the Royal Horse Guards. Both the Royal Horse Guards Barracks and the Hay Storage building are now used by the Ministry of Education.

Fæstningens Materialgård is a former military storage facility at 30 Frederiksholms Kanal in Copenhagen, Denmark. Arranged around a central courtyard, the individual buildings have been built to a homogeneous design, all with yellow-washed facades, green doors and gates, white window frames and red tile roofs, but they have in fact been accumulated over an extended period of time, mainly between 1740 and 1925. They also integrate visually and physically with the adjacent Civiletatens Materialgård, a storage facility associated with the royal palaces, and the Royal Horse Guards Barracks, together forming an area of low, yellow buildings surrounded on three sides by Frederiksholm Canal, Bryghusgade and Vester Voldgade. The International Federation for Housing and Planning was one of the very first tenents moving into 30 Frederiksholms Kanal in December 2012

Johan Borups Højskole (literally Borup's Folk High School) is a folk high school situated at Frederiksholms Kanal 24 in central Copenhagen, Denmark.

Barchmann Mansion (Danish: Barchmanns Palæ) is a Baroque style town mansion overlooking Frederiksholm Canal in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Built in the early 1740s to designs by Philip de Lange, it is also known as the Wedell Mansion (Danish: Wedells Palæ) after the current owner. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918. An extension from 1748 is now home to Johan Borup's Folk High School.

Danish Architecture Center (Danish: Dansk Arkitektur Center), (DAC), is Denmark’s national center for the development and dissemination of knowledge about architecture, building and urban development. Ny Kongensgade 3 is an 18th-century property located in the small Frederiksholm Quarter of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The building was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1986.

Ny Kongensgade 5 is an 18th-century property located in the small Frederiksholm Neighborhood of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The building shares a small courtyard with Ny Kongensgade 7. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1950.

Frederiksholms Kanal 20, located at the corner with Ny Kongensgade (No. 2), is a mid-19th century apartment building overlooking Frederiksholms Kanal in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Its current appearance dates from 1848 when a building from before 1750 was expanded with two floors. The neighbouring building at Ny Kongensgade 4 and a three-storey warehouse in the courtyard were also built at this point. All three buildings have been listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places.

Ny Kongensgade 9 is a Neoclassical property located in the small Frederiksholm Neighborhood of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It consists of a three-storey building with mansard roof from 1804 towards the street, a six-bay side wing along the eastern margin of a courtyard and an older two-storey building at its rear. The building from 1804 with its six-bay side wing, was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1904. The low building in the courtyard is not listed.

Notable former residents include the politician Christian Colbjørnsen, businessman Alfred Hage, politician Orla Lehmann, landowner Michael Treschow (1814–1901) and tobacco manufacturer Emilius Nobel.
