Obolon Arena

FC Obolon-2 Bucha is the second team of Ukrainian professional football club FC Obolon Kyiv based in Bucha. It started in 2001 and played until February 2013, when it was discontinued for financial reasons. In 2019, the team was revived based on the Obolon-Brovar U-19 team and enrolled into Ukrainian Second League, playing home games at Yuvileynyi Stadium in Bucha.

Heroiv Dnipra (Ukrainian: Героїв Дніпра literally: Heroes of the Dnieper, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska line. The station was opened on 6 November 1982 in the Obolonskyi Raion of Kyiv and was designed by G.D. Andreev. The Metro station is named after the street directly above it. The station is closer to the surface than a lot of other Metro stations. The platform has a central hall with brown square columns. The walls are adorned with white and yellow marble, and the floor is red granite. There are socialist red stars (due to be removed due to 2015 decommunization laws) at the top of the columns, which is also where the station's lighting comes from. The station is accessible by two passenger tunnels; one leading to Obolonskyi Prospect and the other to Heroiv Dnipra Street (from which it takes its name). Voters chose to rename the station Heroiv Ukrayiny (Ukrainian: Героїв України; Heroes of Ukraine) - another choice was Heroiv Mariupolya - in a poll taken during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Minska (Ukrainian: Мінська, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 6 November 1982 in the Obolonskyi Raion of Kyiv. It was designed by I.L. Maslenkov, T.A. Tselikovska, and F.M. Zaremba. The station takes its name from the Minskyi Raion (now Obolonskyi Raion) in which it is situated. The station is located shallow underground and is the first Kyiv Metro station with a vaulted roof without column support. Along the tracks, on the ceiling, and above the entrance to the station's hall is a colorful motif, depicting flowers. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels; one leading to the Obolon'skyi Prospect, and the other — to Marshala Tymoshenko Street. Voters chose to rename the station Varshavska - after Warsaw; another choice was Vyshhorodska - in a poll taken during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Obolonskyi District (Ukrainian: Оболонський район, Obolons'kyi raion) is an urban district of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Obolonskyi District encompasses territories far beyond of its historical neighborhood sharing the same name. It was formed on 3 March 1975 and initially called as Minskyi District. In 2001 it was renamed to its historical name. Its current population is 290,000 inhabitants.

Obolon (Ukrainian: Оболонь [oboˈlɔnʲ] (listen)) is a historical locality which includes a residential area (masyv), along with an industrial park within the Ukraine's capital Kyiv that is located on its northern side, in an eponymous city district - the Obolonskyi District (until 2001 – Minskyi District). In Ukrainian language the word obolon' (оболонь) means a 'low country near a river' (floodplain) or 'flood-meadows' (Ukrainian: заплавні луки). As Obolon's land regularly used to flood by the Dnieper river there were Kyiv city's pasture and haymakings.

The Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Інститут археології НАН України) is a research institute in Ukraine that is part of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It is the main institution with the academy that conducts research in the field of studying archaeology and the ancient history of Ukraine. The institute is part of the department of history, philosophy and law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The institute's headquarters is located in Obolonskyi District, Kyiv, near the Dnieper embankment. The institute was created in 1938 after a reorganization of the institute of the history of the material culture of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1938–1993 the institute governed the Olbia excavation site as one of its departments. At its current location in Obolon, the institute is since 1996 to which it arrived from the Vydubychi Monastery. After its relocation, the institute has reorganized again consisting of 11 departments and in 2005 there was added one more department. In 2014 the institute was accounted for 133 researchers among which academician Petro Tolochko, corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Serhiy Kryzhytskyi, Oleksandr Motsya, Hlib Ivakin, Viktor Chabai and 16 more scientists with a degree of doctor of sciences. Due to the 2014 Russian aggression against Ukraine and the Russian annexation of Crimea, many scientists were forced to leave the peninsula. The 2014 Russian authorities liquidated the Crimean branch of the Institute of Archaeology. The Ukrainian activist Dmytro Tymchuk noted that archaeologists who illegally conduct excavations are being tracked and will be charged with it eventually. Since April 2014 the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Hermitage Museum has illegally sent numerous archaeological expeditions for excavations in Crimea.

It was designed by T.A. Tselikovska, A.S. Krushynskyi, and A. Pratsiuk. The station was formerly known as Prospekt Korniichuka (Ukrainian: Проспект Корнійчука) until 1990. The station is located shallow underground and consists of a central hall with columns. The walls along the tracks have been covered with yellow marble and decorated with two bronze works of art. Lights surround the columns, giving the station its light. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels; one leading to the Obolon Prospect, and the other — to Marshala Malynovskoho Street.

The Desna (Russian: Десна́; Ukrainian: Десна) is a river in Russia and Ukraine, a major left-tributary of the Dnieper. Its name means "right hand" in the Old East Slavic language. It has a length of 1,130 km (702 mi), and its drainage basin covers 88,900 km2 (34,324 sq mi).In Ukraine, the river's width ranges from 60 to 250 metres (200 to 820 ft), with its average depth being 3 m (10 ft). The mean annual discharge at its mouth is 360 m3/s (13,000 cu ft/s). The river freezes over from early December to early April, and is navigable from Novhorod-Siverskyi to its mouth, a length of about 535 km (332 mi).The water level of the river reached its lowest recorded point in 140 years in June 2020. This water level was 5 m (16 ft) below normal for that time of year.

National Health Service of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Національна служба здоров'я України; abbrev: Ukrainian: НСЗУ, lit. 'NSZU', English: NHSU) is the central body of the executive power, which implements state policy in the field of state financial guarantees of medical care for the population under the program of medical guarantees. NHSU is a national insurer that concludes contracts with health care institutions and purchases medical services from them. Additionally, it monitors compliance with the terms of contracts and makes direct payments to institutions for services provided.

Pochaina (Ukrainian: Почайна, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska line. The station was opened on 19 December 1980 in the Petrivka neighborhood of the Podilskyi Raion of Kyiv near Pochaina Railway Station. It was designed by I.L. Maslenkov, T.A. Tselikovska, A.S. Krushynskyi, and F.M. Zaremba. The station is located shallow underground and consists of a central hall with columns. The walls along the tracks have been covered with yellow marble and decorated with two abstract reliefs. Hanging above one of the entrances into the station's hall is a colorful mosaic. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels; the northern one leading to a square, the southern one — to Pochaina Railway Station. On the 8 February 2018, Kyiv city council voted to rename Petrivka which commemorated communist politician Grigory Petrovsky to Pochaina after the Pochaina river (in which Prince Volodymyr baptized Kyiv citizens), according to the decommunization law.

Petrivka (Ukrainian: Петрівка) is a neighborhood located in the Obolonskyi District (district) of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It is located in the northern part of the city, neighboring the historical neighborhood of the Podil itself to its south. One of the city's largest book markets is located in the neighborhood. Petrivka is served by a Pochaina metro station of the Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line, and the Pochaina Railway Station of the Ukrzaliznytsia.

The Pivnichnyi Bridge (Ukrainian: Північний міст) or Northern Bridge is a structure in Kyiv, Ukraine, built in 1976. It is a cable-stayed bridge, designed by the architect Mikhail Krasnoshtein (later, Mikhail Asianov) and engineer G. B. Fux. The beam of the main span is held by a cluster of steel ropes which are fixed to a 119 m (390 ft) tall A-pylon.It is notable that as a result of Soviet-era state-sponsored anti-semitism, a non-Jewish architect from Kharkiv (A. V. Dobrovolsky) was brought in to take credit for the bridge's architecture just prior to the official opening of the bridge, and this remains the official record. This record forgery was approved by A. F. Bersheda, the Director of the Kyiv architecture bureau (KievSoyuzDorProekt) at the time. Until February 2018 the bridge was named Moskovskyi Bridge (Ukrainian: Московський міст) or Moscow Bridge. As part of Ukraine's current decommunization process the bridge was nominated to be renamed for almost a year prior to its new name.
