Pochaina (Ukrainian: Почайна, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska line. The station was opened on 19 December 1980 in the Petrivka neighborhood of the Podilskyi Raion of Kyiv near Pochaina Railway Station. It was designed by I.L. Maslenkov, T.A. Tselikovska, A.S. Krushynskyi, and F.M. Zaremba. The station is located shallow underground and consists of a central hall with columns. The walls along the tracks have been covered with yellow marble and decorated with two abstract reliefs. Hanging above one of the entrances into the station's hall is a colorful mosaic. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels; the northern one leading to a square, the southern one — to Pochaina Railway Station. On the 8 February 2018, Kyiv city council voted to rename Petrivka which commemorated communist politician Grigory Petrovsky to Pochaina after the Pochaina river (in which Prince Volodymyr baptized Kyiv citizens), according to the decommunization law.

Petrivka (Ukrainian: Петрівка) is a neighborhood located in the Obolonskyi District (district) of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It is located in the northern part of the city, neighboring the historical neighborhood of the Podil itself to its south. One of the city's largest book markets is located in the neighborhood. Petrivka is served by a Pochaina metro station of the Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line, and the Pochaina Railway Station of the Ukrzaliznytsia.

Obolon (Ukrainian: Оболонь, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 19 December 1980 in the southern part of the Obolon Raion (district) of Kyiv. It was designed by T.A. Tselikovska, A.S. Krushynskyi, and A. Pratsiuk. The station was formerly known as Prospekt Korniichuka (Ukrainian: Проспект Корнійчука) until 1990. The station is located shallow underground and consists of a central hall with columns. The walls along the tracks have been covered with yellow marble and decorated with two bronze works of art. Lights surround the columns, giving the station its light. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels; one leading to the Obolon Prospect, and the other — to Marshala Malynovskoho Street.

Obolon (Ukrainian: Оболонь [oboˈlɔnʲ] (listen)) is a historical locality which includes a residential area (masyv), along with an industrial park within the Ukraine's capital Kyiv that is located on its northern side, in an eponymous city district - the Obolonskyi District (until 2001 – Minskyi District). In Ukrainian language the word obolon' (оболонь) means a 'low country near a river' (floodplain) or 'flood-meadows' (Ukrainian: заплавні луки). As Obolon's land regularly used to flood by the Dnieper river there were Kyiv city's pasture and haymakings.

Obolonskyi District (Ukrainian: Оболонський район, Obolons'kyi raion) is an urban district of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Obolonskyi District encompasses territories far beyond of its historical neighborhood sharing the same name. It was formed on 3 March 1975 and initially called as Minskyi District. In 2001 it was renamed to its historical name. Its current population is 290,000 inhabitants.

The Shevchenkivskyi District (IPA: [ʃɜv.ʧ̑æŋ.ki.ski.raɪ.ɒn], Ukrainian: Шевченківський район, romanized: Shevchenkivsʹkyi raion, lit. 'Shevchenkivskyi district') is an urban district of the city of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It was originally established on 4 April 1937, although in 2001 its area was increased following an annexation of the former Radianskyi and StaroKyivskyi districts. The district is historically significant, as it was here on the Old Kyiv mount where the apostle Saint Andrew erected the cross, also the famous Golden Gate of Kyiv, the main entrance to the medieval city of Kyiv is located in the district, as are the three major churches of the city: Saint Sophia, Saint Michael and Saint Andrew. Furthermore, in this district the first parliament of Ukraine met at the Ukrainian Club Building and declared Independence in 1917.

The Kyiv school stabbing was a violent incident that occurred on 12 January 2026 at a secondary school in the Obolonskyi District of Kyiv, Ukraine. A 14-year-old student named Nikita Solovyov attacked a teacher and a fellow student with a knife during class, injuring both before harming himself. The teacher sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized, while the injured student received medical treatment for multiple wounds. The attacker reportedly barricaded himself in a restroom following the assault and inflicted self-inflicted injuries before being detained by authorities. Ukrainian law enforcement opened a criminal investigation into the attack. Officials stated that the suspect had prepared for the assault in advance, and investigators are examining possible external influence, including online communications found on the suspect's phone. No definitive motive has been confirmed as of January 2026.

K41 (also called ∄ or Kyrylivska 41) is a nightclub in Podil, Kyiv, Ukraine. The club hosts many international DJs and is in what was a 19th century brewery and has an occupancy capacity of 15,000. The club owns and operates the record label Standard Deviation and has been a queer safe space. No photos of the club are allowed inside, patrons are required to put tape over their phone-lenses upon entering. The club has occasionally been the target of abuse by Neo-Nazi vandals.

The Embassy of Indonesia, Kyiv (Indonesian: Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia di Kyiv; Ukrainian: Посольство Індонезії в Києві) is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine and concurrently accredited to Armenia and Georgia. Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Ukraine was established in June 1992. Indonesia had formally recognized Ukraine on 28 December 1991 after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.Roni Hendrawan Kurniadi was the first ambassador of Indonesia to Ukraine in 1994. The current ambassador is Ghafur Akbar Dharmaputra who was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 17 November 2021.

St. Cyril's Monastery (Ukrainian: Кирилівський монастир, translit. Kyrylivs’kyi monastyr) is a medieval monastery in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The monastery contains the famous St. Cyril's Church, an important specimen of Kyivan Rus architecture of the 12th century, and combining elements of the 17th and 19th centuries. However, being largely Ukrainian Baroque on the outside, the church retains its original Kyivan Rus interior.

Tarasa Shevchenka (Ukrainian: Тараса Шевченка, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 19 December 1980 in the northern part of the historic Podil neighbourhood and is named after the famous Ukrainian poet, writer, and painter, Taras Shevchenko. It was designed by T.A. Tselikovska, A.S. Krushynskyi, and A. Pratsiuk. The station is located shallow underground and consists of a central hall with rectangular marble pillars. The walls along the tracks have been finished with dark red marble and ceramic tiles with a plant motif. The lighting comes from large round lamps hanging from the ceiling. At the end of the hall is a white stone bust of Taras Shevchenko, surrounded through the same plant motif that is located on the station's walls. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels on the Mezhyhirska and Olenivska Streets.

Minska (Ukrainian: Мінська, (listen)) is a station on Kyiv Metro's Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line. The station was opened on 6 November 1982 in the Obolonskyi Raion of Kyiv. It was designed by I.L. Maslenkov, T.A. Tselikovska, and F.M. Zaremba. The station takes its name from the Minskyi Raion (now Obolonskyi Raion) in which it is situated. The station is located shallow underground and is the first Kyiv Metro station with a vaulted roof without column support. Along the tracks, on the ceiling, and above the entrance to the station's hall is a colorful motif, depicting flowers. The station is accessible by passenger tunnels; one leading to the Obolon'skyi Prospect, and the other — to Marshala Tymoshenko Street. Voters chose to rename the station Varshavska - after Warsaw; another choice was Vyshhorodska - in a poll taken during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
