Convention Center is a station of the Green and Silver Lines on the San Diego Trolley. It is located in the Marina District section of the city, which features a variety of waterfront apartments just west of Downtown. The San Diego Convention Center is located adjacent to the station, and Petco Park is less than half a mile away. This station opened June 30, 1990 as part of the Orange Line's (then called the East Line) Bayside Extension.It was closed from April 9 through July 2012 to undergo renovations as part of the Trolley Renewal Project.On September 2, 2012, service to this station by the Orange Line was replaced by the Green Line as part of a system redesign.

Dream is an outdoor 2001 public artwork by Roberto Salas, installed along San Diego's Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade, in the U.S. state of California. The work, which includes five bronze hand sculptures, is one of several commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. along the promenade, including Melv Edwards' Breaking of the Chains and Shedding the Cloak by Jerry and Tama Dumlao and Mary Lynn Dominguez.

Completed in 2005, it is the second tallest residential building in the city with a height of 449 feet (137 m) and has 36 floors, a 3-floor garage, 182 residential and 9 commercial units. Located in the Marina district of Downtown San Diego 2 blocks from the waterfront, 3 blocks from Horton Plaza, and 1 block from a Trolley Station.

Children's Park is a public park along Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade in San Diego, California, in the United States. It was designed by landscape architect Peter Walker, and completed in August 1996 at a cost of $2.8 million.

Breaking of the Chains (1995) is an outdoor public art sculpture by Mel Edwards, installed along San Diego's Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade, in the U.S. state of California.The work is a large and tall metal sculpture that serves as a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. and symbolizes the breaking the chains of discrimination. At the base of the sculpture is a plaque with a quote by Martin Luther King, reading, "along the way of life, someone must have the sense enough, and morality enough to cut off the chain of hate. This can only be done by projecting the ethic of love to the center of our lives."

The New Children's Museum is an arts-based children's museum in downtown San Diego, California, whose mission is to "stimulate imagination, creativity and critical thinking in children and families through inventive and engaging experiences with contemporary art". The Museum commissions contemporary artists to create room-sized art installations (playscapes) for children to interact with and explore. The Museum has collaborated with hundreds of artists since opening in 2008. The Museum is housed in a dynamic space designed by visionary and award-winning architect Rob Wellington Quigley and is one of the first green museums in California.

Campbell Industries or Campbell Machine Company was a shipbuilding company in San Diego, California, most construction was Fishing boats. To support the World War 2 demand for ships Campbell Industries shipyard switched over to military construction and built: US Navy Minesweepers. Campbell Industries was started in 1906 as the Campbell Machine Company as builder and repair yard for tuna seiners. Campbell Machine Company went public in 1960 and was renamed to Campbell Industries. In 1979 the yard was sold again to Marco. In 1982 Marco sold the yard to San Diego Marine Industries, Inc. (not the well known San Diego Marine Construction, Inc.). San Diego Marine Industries, Inc. later became Southwest Marine in 1985. The shipyard closed in 1991 and was later sold, part of the land became San Diego Convention Center. The shipyard was located at 1206 Marina Park Way, San Diego, in San Diego Bay near Embarcadero Marina Park South in the Port of San Diego.

The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park is an open-air music venue in San Diego, California. It is operated by the San Diego Symphony on the grounds of the Embarcadero Marina Park South, which the Symphony leases from the Port of San Diego. The site is located on the San Diego Bay in the Marina District of Downtown San Diego.

Harbor Club Condominiums is a high-rise residential building in San Diego, California, United States composed of two towers of equal height. The 41-story towers have a height of 424 feet (129 m) and are a prominent fixture in the city's skyline. Located in the Marina district of Downtown San Diego, Harbor Club was designed by architects BPA Architecture Planning Interiors. The condos are located near the San Diego Convention Center and Petco Park. The towers are currently the eighth-tallest buildings in San Diego.

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is a high-rise hotel complex in San Diego, in the U.S. state of California, composed of two towers. The towers are the third- and ninth-tallest buildings in the city. Developed by Doug Manchester and owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, the taller tower is the tallest building on the waterfront on the West Coast, and with 1,628 rooms, it is Southern California's largest hotel. Because of its proximity to the waterfront, as well as its amenities, the Manchester Grand Hyatt is referred to as a spa and resort.
