Historic Spanish Point

The Osprey School is a historic school built in 1926 in Osprey, Florida. Described as being in a masonry vernacular architectural style, the school is located at 337 North Tamiami Trail. The entrance is flanked by two wings of classrooms. On July 15, 1994, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building was designed by noted Tampa architect M. Leo Elliott. It is now part of the Historic Spanish Point museum complex.

Waters and Elsa Burrows Historic District is a U.S. historic district located at 400 Palmetto Avenue, Osprey, Florida, Sarasota County. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 3, 2012.

The Blackburn Point Bridge is a historic swing bridge located near Osprey, Florida, United States, that is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is a one-lane swing bridge located on Blackburn Point Road at the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. It is the northernmost of the two bridges connecting the barrier island Casey Key to the mainland of Florida.

Floridaland was a tourist attraction between Sarasota and Venice, Florida on US highway 41. It opened December 25, 1964 and closed on July 2, 1971. It boasted "Everything Under The Sun!" and "10 Big Attractions for One Low Price." Attractions included a petting zoo, dolphin show, and old west style main street featuring can-can girls performing at the Gold Nugget Saloon, and a gun fight and stunt show that took place several times a day.

It was designed by Ralph Twitchell for his wife and was built in 1956 in a Sarasota School of Architecture style featuring expansive views of its surroundings. It is located at 3730 Sandspur Lane. On March 21, 2007, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Palmer Ranch is a census-designated place and planned community in Sarasota County, Florida between the cities of Sarasota and Osprey. Palmer Ranch encompasses approximately 6,733 acres (2,725 ha), bounded by Clark Road to the north, U.S. Route 41 to the west, Interstate 75 to the east, and approximately where State Road 681 and the Legacy Trail meet to the south. The area was part of the original 80,000 acres (320 km2) of Florida land purchased by Bertha Palmer, wife of Chicago businessman Potter Palmer.

The Sanderling Beach Club is a historic Sarasota School of Architecture building in Sarasota, Florida, United States. It was designed in 1952 by architect Paul Rudolph. The club is located at 105 Beach Road, Sarasota. On June 29, 1994, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
