Mohawk Commons is a lifestyle center in Niskayuna, New York. It opened in 2002 and replaced the older enclosed Mohawk Mall previously located on the property.

Woodlawn is a neighborhood of Schenectady, New York, United States, which occupies the entire southeastern section of that city. The neighborhood developed as a suburb of the city of Schenectady in the first two decades of the 20th century and was annexed to the city in 1923. Consisting of mostly single family detached houses it is only one of three neighborhoods in Schenectady to post an increase in population during the 1990s; Woodlawn's median population is also the oldest of Schenectady's neighborhoods.

The Woodlawn Preserve is a patch of the Albany Pine Bush in the Woodlawn neighborhood of the city of Schenectady, New York. It is the only remaining example of this rare ecosystem in that area, a combination of swamp, wetlands, water bodies, and dune vegetation, and one of the most biologically diverse parcels in Schenectady County.

Lisha Kill is a hamlet in the town of Colonie, Albany County, New York, United States. Lisha Kill lies on New York Route 5 (Central Avenue) in the western section of the town. The hamlet received its name from the creek of the same name, Lisha Kill, kill being Dutch for creek or stream. The stream is also referred to as Lisha's Kill and received its name from a local legend about a Native American woman who is buried along its banks.

Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School is a private, Roman Catholic middle and high school in Schenectady, New York. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. Enrollment for the 2021–2022 school year was 201 students. The 2021-2022 tuition was $7,583 (grade 6), $8,058 (7-8), and $8,658 (9-12).

George Westinghouse Jones House, also known by the Welsh name of Caermarthen, is a historic home located in the Town of Niskayuna in Schenectady County, New York. It was built about 1900 and designed by the architectural firm of Rutan and Russell. It is a rambling, 2+1⁄2-story gable-roofed frame residence in the Shingle Style. it features a high stone foundation, steeply pitched gable roof, a wraparound verandah, hipped roof dormers, and five tall brick chimneys. Its original owner was George Westinghouse Jones, who was a cousin of industrialist George Westinghouse and business administrator for the firm's Schenectady interests.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Aerodrome was a nightclub located at 1588 State Street in Schenectady, New York. The Aerodrome was established in 1967 by Jack Rubin of Chicago. The building was originally a 32-lane bowling alley named 'Woodlawn Lanes', which was converted by Rubin into a music venue. Its capacity was approximately 3,000 people. Several famous rock bands and musicians performed at the Aerodrome, including Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Billy Joel, B.J. Thomas, The Electric Prunes, Vanilla Fudge, Three Dog Night, Jeff Beck Group (featuring a young Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood), Chicago, The Yardbirds, BB King, and many more bands from that era. Because of ill-health, Rubin closed the Aerodrome in 1972, and it was demolished. The building was badly damaged from the vibration caused by the noise of the loud music. Crosstown Plaza is a large strip mall in Schenectady, NY (at the Rotterdam-Schenectady line) along Watt Street and NY State Route 7 near the I-890 entrance. As of January, 1991, the strip mall consisted of 183,500 square feet (17,050 square meters). By August, 1995, it was 193,500 square feet (17,980 square meters).

Niskayuna is a town in Schenectady County, New York, United States. The population was 23,278 at the 2020 census. The town is located in the southeast part of the county, east of the city of Schenectady, and is the easternmost town in the county. The current Town Supervisor is Jaime Puccioni.

Rosendale Common School, also known as Niskayuna Grange Hall No. 1542, is a historic school building located in the vicinity of Niskayuna in Schenectady County, New York. It was built about 1850 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, three-by-five-bay, timber-frame building on a limestone foundation. It has a steeply pitched gable roof and a one-story, shed-roof addition from the 1960s. The building was used as a school until 1948, when it was sold to the local Grange for use as their clubhouse.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Brandywine Avenue School was a historic school located at Schenectady in Schenectady County, New York. It was built in 1904 and was a 3+1⁄2-story, red brick "U" shaped institutional building in the Classical Revival style. It sat on a basement of rock-faced limestone and had a hipped roof. It operated as a teacher training facility from 1910 to 1925 and ceased being used as a school in 1974. From 1975 to 1996, it housed Schenectady City School District administrative offices and records storage.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.It was destroyed by a fire in November 2007.
