Riverfront Towers

West Riverfront station (formerly Joe Louis Arena) is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located on Steve Yzerman Drive across from the former site of the Joe Louis Arena, near the intersection of 3rd Street and Jefferson Avenue, where M-10 terminates. Prior to the Joe Louis Arena's closure in 2017, the station was directly connected to the arena and its parking garage via pedestrian bridges from the concourse level. The bridge to the arena was demolished with the arena, and the bridge to the now-disused garage is closed, though the Detroit City Council plans to reopen the garage in the future. The station is still connected to the Riverfront Towers by an enclosed skybridge. It is the nearest station to the Downtown campus of the Wayne County Community College District, and also serves the Detroit Riverwalk via its street entrance, accessible by an elevator or a series of concrete ramps. The People Mover shut down temporarily on March 30, 2020, due to decreased ridership amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the arena's demolition, the station was renamed West Riverfront when it reopened with the system's restart on May 20, 2022. As of June 2022, the trains' automated announcements still announce the station as "Joe Louis Arena."

The Fort Street Union Depot was a passenger train station located at the southwest corner of West Fort Street and Third Street in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It served the city from 1893 to 1971, then demolished in 1974. Today, the downtown campus of Wayne County Community College occupies the site.

The Fort Street Presbyterian Church is located at 631 West Fort Street in Detroit, Michigan. It was constructed in 1855, and completely rebuilt in 1877. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1971. Its steeple stands 265 ft (81 m), making it one of the tallest churches in the United States.

John K. King Used & Rare Books is an independent bookseller in Michigan.The store has an estimated 1 million books in stock, with a large collection of rare and used titles. In a 2011 article from the online magazine Salon, the store was described as "one of the largest and strangest collections in North America".The store has four above-ground floors open to customers. An adjacent building has a collection of rarer and notable items available for viewing by appointment only. Joe Louis Arena was an arena in Downtown Detroit. Completed in 1979 at a cost of US$57 million as a replacement for Olympia Stadium, it sat adjacent to Cobo Center on the bank of the Detroit River and was accessible by the Joe Louis Arena station on the Detroit People Mover. The venue was named after former heavyweight champion boxer Joe Louis, who grew up in Detroit.It was the home of the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League and the second oldest NHL venue after Madison Square Garden until the start of the 2017–18 NHL season. Joe Louis Arena was owned by the city of Detroit, and operated by Olympia Entertainment, a subsidiary of team owner Ilitch Holdings.In April 2017, the Red Wings hosted their final game at Joe Louis Arena; the venue was succeeded by Little Caesars Arena. The arena closed on July 29, 2017. Demolition started in early 2019 and was completed by mid-2020.

The Detroit News Complex consists of two buildings: a historic office building at 615 West Lafayette Boulevard in Detroit, Michigan, and an associated parking structure, located across the street at 901 West Lafayette. The two buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. The main building held the offices of The Detroit News until 2013, and was also the site of the first commercial radio broadcast (on WWJ) in the United States.

The Detroit Bus Station is an intercity bus station in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan. The station, managed by Greyhound Lines, also serves Barons Bus Lines, Flixbus and Indian Trails. The current building was constructed in 1991. Detroit has seen intercity bus transit since the 1920s, when a union bus terminal opened on Grand River Avenue. In 1937, a Greyhound Lines bus terminal opened on Grand River Avenue, which would be in operation until 1958. In 1958, this station was replaced by another Greyhound terminal, built in the mid-century modern style on Congress Street. When the 1958 terminal opened, it was celebrated for bringing a modern terminal to a central location, however, it would later gain a negative reputation. The current bus station was opened in 1991 and is planned to be replaced as of 2023.

The Cass Building is a low-rise office building at 455 West Fort Street, at the southeast corner of First Street, in Detroit, Michigan. It is also known as Detroit's Work Place.

The Executive Plaza Building is a two-tower office building that was constructed between 1967 and 1975 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. The taller building stands 22 stories high on a lot bounded by Sixth Street, Howard, Abbott and the John C. Lodge Freeway. The address is 1200 Sixth Street. The first tower was constructed at the southern portion of the site in 1967 and is 11 stories. It is faced with precast concrete panels with protruding piers dividing the window bays. The corners of the building are recessed as are the windows of the top floor allowing for a small terraced area on three sides. Elevators and stairs are housed in a separate tower at the north end. It was originally conceived as the Detroit Trade Center but was purchased by the State of Michigan as an office building. The State of Michigan maintained its offices in this building until 2002 when all agencies moved to Cadillac Place. In 1974, the State added the high-rise which was constructed in a style which combined the international and black box styles. It was designed by the firm of Jickling, Lyman & Powell and is faced with reflective glass and brown aluminum panels causing it to resemble the nearby DTE Energy Headquarters. Like the first tower, the windows of the top floor are recessed, and its elevators and stairs are contained in a tower adjoining the elevator tower of the earlier structure. The state sold the property in 2003 for $12.5 million to a real estate investment group.In May 2006, the General Services Administration (GSA) announced it would acquire the site and raze the current buildings to construct new offices for the Detroit branch of the FBI. However, by July 2010 the GSA announced that the plan had been canceled because it was unable to reach an agreement with the building's current owner.Owners placed the building up for auction in 2014 with a minimum bid request of $4.5 million but received no offers.

The Detroit Public Safety Headquarters, located at 1301 Third Street in Detroit, Michigan, is a law enforcement and fire department complex which houses the headquarters for the Detroit Police Department, Detroit Fire Department, Detroit Emergency Medical Service as well as a forensics laboratory for the Michigan State Police. After the City of Detroit acquired the building its physical address was re-designated from John C. Lodge Freeway to its present address on Third Street and Michigan Avenue to disassociate itself from the building's prior occupants, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service who were the original owners and the MGM Grand Detroit Casino who purchased the building from the IRS.

Huntington Place station is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located inside the Huntington Place convention center, formerly known as Cobo Center and later as TCF Center, on the third floor near Congress Street. The track was originally built out in the open, and later enclosed by Cobo Center's late 1980s expansion. The station opened as an infill station in 1989, as the last of the system's thirteen stations to open. The track passes above the main convention hall, and as such, passing trains can be heard from portions of the convention floor. Originally known as Cobo Center, the station was renamed Convention Center in 2019, when Cobo Center itself was renamed TCF Center. The station was renamed again as Huntington Place upon its reopening in May 2022, following the convention center's renaming as Huntington Place.The People Mover shut down temporarily on March 30, 2020, due to decreased ridership amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Huntington Place, newly renamed, was one of six stations to reopen when the system restarted on May 20, 2022.Convention Center is one of only two stations (with Millender Center being the other) on the People Mover route where passengers can take escalators down from the platform to street level. Ten other stations have escalators going up only, and two others (Grand Circus Park and West Riverfront) have none.
