St Mary, Jersey

Grève de Lecq Barracks is an army barracks in Jersey. Construction began in 1810 in response to the threat of invasion by the French. It functioned until 1926 and was acquired by the National Trust for Jersey in 1972. These barracks were unoccupied at the Census of 1921.

St Anne's Chapel is a mediaeval chapel within the grounds of St Ouen's Manor, in the parish of St Ouen on Jersey. It is dedicated to St Anne, the mother of the Virgin Mary.

St. Ouen's Manor is a manor house in the parish of St. Ouen, Jersey, and is the traditional home of the Seigneur of St. Ouen, and the ancestral home of the De Carteret family. The earliest record of the house dates from 1135. The manor also includes a mediaeval chapel, St Anne's Chapel. As a part of the 1940 Jersey local elections, the manor was offered to the victor, Edward Campbell. However, Campbell became disillusioned with the idea, and declined. The house and grounds remain intact today, and the house is a private home for the De Carteret family. It is occasionally open to the public.

St. Ouen F.C. is an amateur association football club in Saint Ouen, Jersey, Channel Islands who play in the Jersey Premiership. The club plays in yellow and blue. They play the majority of their games at their home ground in St. Ouen.

St Peter (French: Saint-Pièrre; Jèrriais: St Pièrre) is one of the twelve parishes of Jersey in the Channel Islands. It is around 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) north-west of St Helier. The parish has a population of 5,003. It has a surface area of 10.6 square kilometres (4.1 sq mi). It is the only parish with two separate coastlines, stretching from St Ouen's Bay in the west to St Aubin's Bay in the south, and thereby cutting St Brelade off from other parishes. It also borders St Ouen and St Mary to the north and St Lawrence to the east. A large portion of the parish is occupied by Jersey Airport. The traditional nickname for St. Pierrais is ventres à baînis (limpet bellies), perhaps because their parish sticks to two coasts like limpets.

First Tower United F.C. is a football club based on the Channel Island of Jersey. They are affiliated to the Jersey Football Association. They formerly played in Jersey Football Combination Premiership, and are currently playing in Championship 2. The club plays in white and blue. They were the second most successful club in the island after Jersey Wanderers, having won the Jersey League 19 times.

A statue of George Carteret stands in Saint Peter, Jersey. A work of the sculptor Laury Dizengremel, it was erected in Saint Peter's Square in 2014, to mark the 350th anniversary of the founding of New Jersey by Carteret. The idea for erecting the statue was conceived by John Refault, Constable of Saint Peter, who secured over £36,000 of public funds towards its erection.

Living Legend was a tourist attraction in Jersey, consisting of a show detailing Jersey's history, an "adventure golf" course and a craft and shopping village. It did not re-open for the 2016 season after 24 years of operation.

The 1938 Jersey Airport disaster occurred at 10:50am on Friday 4 November 1938 when the Jersey Airways de Havilland D.H.86 airliner St Catherine's Bay (G-ACZN) crashed in the parish of Saint Brelade, 500 yards east of Jersey Airport, killing the pilot and all twelve passengers on board, as well as farm hand Edmund Le Cornu, who was working on the ground. In terms of loss of life, it was the worst crash of a rigid aircraft on British territory to date and the second-worst overall crash of a British rigid aircraft after the crash of an Imperial Airways airliner in Belgium in 1933 (in which 15 people died). The airliner had just taken off from Jersey en route to Southampton. The sky was overcast, with a cloud base of 120–150 feet. The aircraft had been fully inspected and was not carrying a full load. The Air Ministry investigation concluded that the accident was due to pilot error. The pilot had made a climbing turn into the clouds and inadvertently allowed the aircraft to sideslip when he was still too close to the ground to avert disaster. The aircraft had exploded and several bodies had been thrown up to 40 feet away. Among the dead were the daughter, son-in-law and baby granddaughter of surveyor and aerial archaeology pioneer G. A. Beazeley.

St Ouen (Jèrriais: Saint Ouën, French: Saint-Ouen) is one of the twelve parishes of Jersey in the Channel Islands. It is around 8.8 kilometres (5.5 mi) north-west of St Helier. It has a population of 4,097. The parish is the largest parish by surface area, covering 8,525 vergées (15 km2), and is located in part on a peninsula. The parish is largely agricultural. There is no single centre, for the church, parish hall, and school are separated; St Ouen's Village is the most significant settlement in the parish. The parish hosts the northernmost section of its namesake bay, which sweeps from the north to the south of the island. It is a distinct parish culturally. Being the farthest from St Helier, it has many differences from the rest of the island, for example having its own dialect of Jèrriais. Its manor, St Ouen's Manor — the seat of the de Carteret family for over eight centuries — is the senior fief in the island, and the influence of that family has also been a factor in the parish's independent-minded approach to its affairs.

St. Peter F.C. is a football club based on the Channel Island of Jersey. They are affiliated to the Jersey Football Association and play in the Jersey Football Combination Premiership 2. The club hosted matches during the 2015 Island Games, including the 3rd/4th place play off match.

Jersey Airport (IATA: JER, ICAO: EGJJ) is an international airport located in the parish of Saint Peter, 4 NM (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) west northwest of Saint Helier in Jersey, in the Channel Islands.
