Leonardo's Horse (also known as the Sforza Horse or the Gran Cavallo ("Great Horse") ) is a project for a bronze sculpture that was commissioned from Leonardo da Vinci in 1482 by the Duke of Milan Ludovico il Moro, but never completed. It was intended to be the largest equestrian statue in the world, a monument to the duke's father Francesco Sforza. Leonardo did extensive preparatory work for it but produced only a large clay model, which was later destroyed. About five centuries later, Leonardo's surviving designs were used as the basis for sculptures intended to bring the project to fruition.

The Hippodrome of San Siro (Italian: Ippodromo di San Siro) is a horse racing venue in Milan, Italy, which takes its name from the neighborhood of the same name in which it is located.

Lampugnano is a district (quartiere) of Milan, Italy, part of the Zone 8 administrative division of the city. Until 1841, it was an autonomous comune. A prominent structure of Lampugnano is PalaSharp, which used to be one of Milan's major indoor arenas, housing sporting events, concerts, live shows and political meetings. The nearby Milan Metro subway is also adjacent to a bus terminal and a major parking, and is thus a reference place for many commuters who travel daily to the city from the western part of the Metropolitan City of Milan.

Lampugnano is an underground station on Line 1 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The station was opened on 12 April 1980 as part of the extension from Lotto to San Leonardo. It is located on Via Giulio Natta, in the Lampugnano district, from which it takes its name. It is located near the Palasharp and the main terminal for intercity bus service. The station has a car park with 1830 parking spaces.

The British School of Milan (BSM), formerly "The Sir James Henderson School," is a non-profit English-language IB World School founded in 1969 by members of the British Community in Milan, with support from the British Chambers of Commerce. The school was named after Sir James Henderson, a Scottish businessman who opened Cucirini Cantoni Coats S.p.A. in 1911 in Milan. The school's first location was in Via Mancinelli, 3, with separate premises for the Senior School opening in Viale Lombardia not long after. In 1996, the school moved to its current location in Via Pisani Dossi, reuniting the Primary and Senior Schools on one campus. The objective of the school is to provide British education, following the English National curriculum, to pupils ranging in age from 3 to 18 from over 40 nationalities. In 2010, the school's marketing manager, Gregory Wright, stated that the teachers always took a practical approach to education, not merely reciting information but also involving the students in the demonstration of lessons. Science, he said, is always taught in the laboratories, not merely an hour a week, but always. Extracurricular activities (art, music, sports) and interest groups on world issues (the environment, the United Nations) are also highly emphasized.

Palatrussardi, later known as PalaVobis, PalaTucker, Mazda Palace and PalaSharp, was an indoor arena located in Milan, Italy. The seating capacity was 8,479 and it hosted concerts and sporting events. It was built in 1985 to replace two pre-existing structures, the Sport Palace and the Palatenda.The arena hosted the 1987 Basketball Intercontinental Cup in which local Philips Milano defeated FC Barcelona and won the competition.

Quarto Cagnino (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkwarto kaɲˈɲiːno]; Milanese: Quart [ˈkwɑːrt]) is a district (quartiere) of Milan, Italy, part of the Zone 7 administrative division of the city. It borders the districts of Trenno (north), San Siro (east), Baggio (south), and Quinto Romano (west). Before being annexed to Milan, in 1869, it was an autonomous comune and, briefly, a part of Trenno (from 1861 to 1869).Quarto Cagnino is a formerly rural, now urban district, with the last period of quick urban development having occurred in the late 1960s in so called "GESCAL" projects. The "GESCAL" acronym stands for "Gestione Case per i Lavoratori", i.e., "Housing for Workers"; these projects were meant to realize vast low-income apartment blocks in rationally organized, "satellite" city neighbourhoods. Example of GESCAL apartment flats are found along Via Carlo Marx, close to the San Carlo hospital. While low-income, huge apartment buildings dominate the landscape of Quarto, these contrast with some remaining ancient cascine, testifying the rural past of the district. These are mostly found along Via Fratelli Zoia, which used to be the main street of old rural Quarto Cagnino.The district is connected to Milan by several bus lines. The district has one of the major hospitals in Milan, the San Carlo, and part of two large city parks, Parco delle Cave and Parco di Trenno.

QT8 is a station on Line 1 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The underground station was opened on 8 November 1975 as a one-station extension from Lotto. On 12 April 1980, the line was extended to San Leonardo. It is located at Piazza Santa Maria Nascente, in the QT8 district.

QT8 is a district ("quartiere") of Milan, Italy, part of the Zone 8 administrative division of the city. The name formally stands for Quartiere Triennale 8, but the district is also simply referred to as QT8.QT8 developed from an experimental urbanization project that was conceived during the 8th edition of the Triennale di Milano design exhibition that was held in 1947, at the beginning of the reconstruction of Milan after World War II. Architect Piero Bottoni was the main promoter of the project, which included the realization of Monte Stella, an artificial hill made from the debris of the buildings that had collapsed during the war. Construction began in 1946 and 1947, with the reuse of several heterogeneous housing units. In 1948, the first four-story prefabricated houses in Italy were completed in QT8. Much effort was put into the realization of green areas such as playgrounds, neighbourhood gardens, and a 375,000 m² city park. As a result, QT8 is one of the greenest districts in Milan. The district is well connected to the city centre, by the Milan Metro subway as well as several bus lines.
