Harbridge is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Ellingham, Harbridge and Ibsley, in the New Forest district, in the county of Hampshire, England. It is located some four kilometres north of Ringwood and a similar distance south of Fordingbridge, in southwest Hampshire. In 1931 the parish had a population of 276.

Avon Valley (Bickton to Christchurch) is a 1,403.8-hectare (3,469-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest which stretches from Christchurch in Dorset to Bickton, south of Fordingbridge Hampshire. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, a Ramsar site, a Special Area of Conservation and a Special Protection Area. An area of 159 hectares (390 acres) is Blashford Lakes, a nature reserve managed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust,This valley has more diverse habitats and a wider range of fauna and flora than any other chalk valley in the country. There are internationally important numbers of breeding and wintering birds, such as Bewick’s swans and gadwalls. The flora include a number of nationally rare species and the river has a diverse fish fauna. Dragonflies include the rare scarce chaser.

Ellingham Priory was a medieval monastic house in Ellingham, Hampshire, England. It was founded by William de Soleres in 1160. It was a cell to the Abbey of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte in Normandy. The church of Ellingham formed part of the grant of William de Solers to Ellingham Priory.It was dissolved in 1414 and sold to Eton College in 1462.

Somerley is a large Georgian Grade II* listed English country house that is situated in the civil parish of Ellingham and Harbridge with Ibsley in the New Forest district in Hampshire, England. It is 2 miles (3 km) west of the New Forest National Park. The nearest town is Ringwood, which lies approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) south-east from the House, just east of the River Avon. Somerley House is perched overlooking the Estate. The River Avon meanders through this vast 7,000 acre Somerley Estate, providing a wildlife rich environment for a diverse range of habitats including; parkland, water meadows and woodland. The Estate features a walled garden and an ancient woodland. The house is the home of the seventh Earl of Normanton. It was designed by English architect Samuel Wyatt in 1792–1795, and the house became the property of Lord Normanton's family in 1825. In 1850 a 90ft picture gallery was added to house the family's paintings and collections; today this space is used for events. It is not open to the public although it is available for weddings, filming, and corporate and private event hire.The house was a filming location for the 1983 TV adaptation of Mansfield Park and more recently portrayed Highgrove House in the Netflix series, The Crown. In addition, Somerley has featured in the first season of the TV show Bridgerton Somerley Park is home to a golf club.

The Latchmore Brook is a significant stream in the New Forest, Hampshire, England. It rises from the elevated gravel plateaus in the north of the Forest, north of Fritham, and drains into the River Avon north of Ibsley. The stream's catchment is open heathland, deciduous woodland, silvicultural inclosures and, in its lower reaches, small scale pastoral farmland; as such there are no consistent sources of pollution and the stream's course and character has largely remained free from artificial modification. Historically, the greatest human impact on the brook was connected to the Schultze Gunpowder Factory which was established in the 1860s at Eyeworth Lodge near Fritham. The factory required large volumes of water and this demand was met by damming the brook to create a reservoir (which still survives as Eyeworth Pond). The problem of sulphuric and nitric acid discharges contaminating the river, killing fish, only ended when the factory closed in the 1920s.

Blashford Lakes is a 159-hectare (390-acre) nature reserve north of Ringwood in Hampshire, England, which is managed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. The site is part of the River Avon System Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I, Avon Valley Ramsar site, River Avon Special Area of Conservation and Special Protection Area, and of Avon Valley (Bickton to Christchurch), which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.These former gravel pits have lakes, woods and grassland. There are six bird hides and 8 kilometres (5.0 miles) of gravel paths. Birds include lesser redpolls, sand martins, goosanders, siskins and great spotted woodpeckers.

Royal Air Force Ibsley or more simply RAF Ibsley is a former Royal Air Force station in Hampshire, England. The airfield is near the village of Ibsley, about 2 miles (3 km) north of Ringwood and about 85 miles (137 km) southwest of London. A perimeter track with three runways were laid out and 18 fighter pens allowing 46 fighters to stand in relative safety. 12 Blister and two Bellman hangars were built and ten dispersed accommodation sites were laid out to the north for the airmen & women. A double cupola Battle Head Quarters, two Control Towers (one small and one large)

Ibsley Circuit was a car racing circuit situated at RAF Ibsley, on the Fordingbridge to Ringwood Road in Hampshire, United Kingdom. Autosport states that the circuit was used for car racing from 1951 to 1955. All racing took place on Saturdays because its close proximity to the Church of St. Martin in Ibsley. The building was so close that the noise of the racing vehicles could disturb the congregation at worship.

Ringwood and Fordingbridge was a rural district in Hampshire from 1932 to 1974.It was formed by the merger of part of the disbanded Christchurch Rural District along with Ringwood Rural District and Fordingbridge Rural District. Its main urban centres were Ringwood and Fordingbridge. The district was split in 1974, between the districts of New Forest, East Dorset and Christchurch.

Blashford is a small hamlet of approx. 65 dwellings situated close to the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Ringwood, which lies approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) south from the village. It is in the civil parish of Ellingham, Harbridge and Ibsley. In the late 1900s the area was subject to a series of gravel extractions and became a landscape of interconnecting open lakes and wet meadows. The area has recovered spectacularly since the days of gravel extraction and become a haven for all sorts of wildlife, including waterfowl, bats, otters and moths. Blashford is home to the Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve. The 490 acres (200 ha) wildlife reserve is managed by the Wildlife Trust in partnership with the New Forest District Council and landowners Wessex Water and Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water. Blashford Lakes is an internationally important site for thousands of wildfowl. Its importance is recognised by its SSSI, Ramsar, SPA (Special Protection Area) and SINC (Site of Importance for Nature Conservation) protection status. Several other parts of Blashford also have this status, including open lakes and the River Avon and associated flood plain. Linking these sites is an area of wetland known locally as Blashford Wet Meadows.
