Crucecita is a town of the Avellaneda Partido in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the Greater Buenos Aires urban agglomeration. The town is named for the Arroyo de la Crucecita (Crossing Stream) encountered by a 1580 expedition led by Captain Juan de Garay, the founder of modern-day Buenos Aires. The Real Consulado de Buenos Aires ordered a pontoon bridge built over the stream in 1810, and much of the surrounding land later belonged to the Ximenez family. A wave of immigration in Argentina after 1880 led to the southward expansion of the Buenos Aires metro area part Avellaneda, and the first lots in Crucecita were sold to homesteaders in 1887. Following the inaugural of a Ferrocarril Provincial de Buenos Aires station at the site, the Masllorens Brothers factory, a textile maker, was inaugurated in Crucesita by immigrants from Barcelona. The Club Social y Deportivo Unión de Crucecita, the local football club, was established in 1939. Presidente Bartolomé Mitre Avenue connects the suburb to Avellaneda, to the north, and Sarandí, to the south.

It has many of the characteristic features of the yellow press, in terms of the use of colors, fonts, use of colloquial language, and exclamation marks in titles.Currently, its average circulation on sundays is 135,704 copies, and 85,929 from monday to friday. The newspaper remains a family business, with a majority in the shareholding composition of the Kraiselburd and Fascetto families.

Dock Sud is a town of Avellaneda County (partido) in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the urban agglomeration of Greater Buenos Aires.

Estadio Julio Humberto Grondona, nicknamed El Viaducto, is a football stadium located in the city of Sarandí in Avellaneda Partido, Argentina. It is owned and operated by Arsenal Fútbol Club. and has a capacity of 18,500 spectators.The stadium is named after Julio Grondona, co-founder, first president (1957−1976), and player of Arsenal F.C. and then president of the Argentine Football Association from 1979 to his death in 2014.

The Latin Rite Catholic Diocese of Avellaneda-Lanús (erected 10 April 1961, as the Diocese of Avellaneda) is in Argentina and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. It was renamed on 24 April 2001.

Puente Nicolás Avellaneda is a 1650 metre long liftable road bridge with 2 lanes in Buenos Aires, Argentina over Riachuelo River, which was built from 1937 to 1940. The 57 metre tall liftable section over Riachuelo River has a length of 60 metres and offers a clearance of 43 metres when lifted, and a clearance of 21 metres when not lifted. This section of the bridge carries a transporter gondola ( see picture http:/ /i.imgur.com/2P094qz.jpg and http:/ /i.imgur.com/YAuUqgJl.jpg ) and can work like the nearby Puente Transbordador as a transporter bridge. The transporter gondola was designed to allow horse-driven wagons to cross the river without using the long strenuous way over the ramps of the bridge. Puente Nicolás Avellaneda is the only liftable bridge in the world equipped with a transporter gondola. However since 1960, this gondola is only in use when the roadway on the bridge is closed for maintenance work.

Puente Transbordador (also known as Buenos Aires Transporter Bridge, Puente Transbordador de La Boca Puente Transbordador Nicolás Avellaneda, Antiguo Puente Nicolás Avellaneda or Transbordador del Riachuelo ) is a transporter bridge in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The bridge was in use from its completion in 1914 until 1960, when operation ceased until 2017. Since 1999 the bridge is a National Historic Monument of Argentina. The transporter bridge was the first link to connect Buenos Aires with the outskirts on the other side of the Riachuelo River. The bridge links the Avenida La Plata in the neighbourhood Island Maciel of Dock Sud with Avenida Almirante Brown in the La Boca neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. The name of the bridge refers to Nicolás Avellaneda, a former president of Argentina, who also gave the name to the Avellaneda Partido on the right bank of the river. The platform of the transporter bridge measured 8 by 12 metres and could be operated from a control stand on itself or from the machine house. It was designed to carry pedestrians, carts, cars and trams.

Avellaneda is located within the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area, and is connected to neighboring Buenos Aires by several bridges over the Riachuelo River.

The Fundación Proa is a private art center in La Boca, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was founded in 1996 and develops educational programs and exchange with cultural institutions. His focus is on the dissemination of the great artistic movements of the twentieth century. The foundation is located at Pedro de Mendoza Avenue, 1929.

The Estadio Racing Club, popularly known as Estadio Alsina y Colón, was an association football stadium in Avellaneda, a suburb of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the home ground of Racing Club before they moved to Estadio Juan Domingo Perón in 1950, and was located in the intersection of Alsina and Colón streets, hence been sometimes referred as 'Estadio de Alsina y Colón'. The stadium held 50,000 spectators. It was one of two stadiums that hosted the first Copa América in 1916, along with Gimnasia y Esgrima. The stadium was closed in December 1946 to build the Estadio Presidente Juan Domingo Perón which was inaugurated in 1950.

Caminito ("little walkway" or "little path" in Spanish) is a street museum and a traditional alley, located in La Boca, a neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The place acquired cultural significance because it inspired the music for the famous tango "Caminito" (1926), composed by Juan de Dios Filiberto.
