The Lakeshore General Hospital (Hôpital général du Lakeshore) (LGH) is a Canadian acute care institution located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, a suburban municipality near Montreal, Quebec. The hospital employs 1,599 employees and contains 265 beds, and serves an estimated population of 377,000 in the West Island region of Montreal.The LGH is situated close to major highway arteries such as Highways 13, 20, 40, and 520 and is often called upon to treat and stabilize accident victims. Its emergency department is one of the busiest for distress cases in Montreal with over 40,000 visits annually.The Lakeshore General Hospital opened its doors in 1965. It is part of the Centre de santé et de services sociaux de l'Ouest-de-l'Île (West-Island Health and Social Service Centre).

The 1953 Canada Cup took place June 2–3 at the Beaconsfield Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was the first Canada Cup event, which became the World Cup in 1967. The tournament was a 36-hole stroke play team event with 7 teams. Each team consisted of two players from a country, except that South African Bobby Locke and Englishman Harry Weetman played as a team. The combined score of each team determined the team results. Play was in pairs, two players from different countries. The Argentine team of Antonio Cerdá and Roberto De Vicenzo won by ten strokes over the Canadian team of Bill Kerr and Stan Leonard. Antonio Cerdá had the lowest individual score. The tournament was sponsored by John Jay Hopkins.The second Hopkins Trophy match between the United States and Canada was played on the same course from June 5–7. This match was also sponsored by Hopkins and resulted in a 27–18 win for the American team. Bobby Locke and Peter Thomson played for the Canadian team.

The 1983 Peter Jackson Classic was contested from June 30 to July 3 at Beaconsfield Golf Club. It was the 11th edition of the Peter Jackson Classic, and the fifth edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. This event was won by Hollis Stacy.

The 1995 du Maurier Classic was contested from August 24–27 at Beaconsfield Golf Club. It was the 23rd edition of the du Maurier Classic, and the 17th edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. This event was won by Jenny Lidback.

The 1985 du Maurier Classic was contested from July 25–28 at Beaconsfield Golf Club. It was the 13th edition of the du Maurier Classic, and the seventh edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. This event was won by Pat Bradley.

The 1989 du Maurier Classic was contested from June 29 to July 2 at Beaconsfield Golf Club. It was the 17th edition of the du Maurier Classic, and the 11th edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. This event was won by Tammie Green.

Kuper Academy is a private school in Kirkland, Quebec, in the Montreal metropolitan area. As of 2022 is owned by Joan Salette, who also serves as the principal administrator. It has preschool through high school.

L'école secondaire Félix-Leclerc is a French speaking secondary school located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada. It is named after the Canadian singer Félix Leclerc. The school provides secondary education, starting from secondary 1 to 5 (grade 7-11). The school also offers a special International program called Excellence.

Beaconsfield station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada. It is served by the Vaudreuil–Hudson line. As of October 2020, on weekdays, all 11 inbound trains and 12 outbound trains on the line call at this station, with one train each way short turning here. On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station platforms are built on an overpass over Saint-Charles Boulevard, north of Autoroute 20. The historic station building is one of just two still serving passengers along this line (the other is Montréal-Ouest); a few more are extant but have been given over to other uses. In particular, a dedicated underpass between the station building and a headhouse links the two platforms. They are also linked by the sidewalks on both sides of Saint-Charles Boulevard and stairways leading from them to the platforms.

Fairview forest is a forested area of land located in Pointe Claire on the island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The area is approximately 50 acres in size and is mostly covered in trees. The property is just west of the Fairview shopping centre, with Highway 40 directly on its southern border. At one time, John Abbott College owned the property.The STM (Société de transport de Montréal) believes the area is a forest and has marked it as such on their map of the island.The current owner of the property is seeking to cut down the forest and make a new urban area. Local residents have formed a group in efforts to stop the destruction of the forest.An online petition has more than 27 thousand signatures in support of saving the forest. The forest can be seen in heat map of the island of Montreal as a relatively cool area.

Cedar Park station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. It is served by the exo1 (Vaudreuil-Dorion) line. As of October 2020, on weekdays, 10 of 11 inbound trains and 10 of 12 outbound trains on the line call at this station; the others skip this stop. On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station is located north of Autoroute 20, about 250 m west of Boulevard Saint-Jean. It has two side platforms; access between them is provided by a walkway tunnel with a headhouse on either side. The tunnel also gives access to an open-air walkway south of the station that passes under the highway and two of its ramps to connect with Cedar Avenue on the south side of the highway. A station was located here by 1909.

John Rennie High School (JRHS) (French: École secondaire John Rennie) located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada, is an English-language secondary school that opened in 1955. The school was named after John Rennie (1904–1952), the Union Nationale Member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec for Huntingdon from 1947 to 1952. Pointe-Claire was and remains in a riding that has voted for the Quebec Liberal Party; thus, when local representatives made their case to Premier Maurice Duplessis for the building of a new high school to meet the needs of the burgeoning postwar school population, Duplessis's stipulation for the funding was for the building to be named after his recently-deceased fellow Union Nationale MNA and longtime party fundraiser. However, that was not completely a partisan political decision, as Rennie had been the assistant director of Protestant schools in Pointe-Claire from 1930 to 1936, as well as the principal of the Valois Park and Cedar Park Schools. The school is administered by the Lester B. Pearson School Board.
