The Watford Football Club Training Ground is the training ground and academy of the Premier League club Watford F.C. The centre is located on the University College London Union (UCLU) Shenley Sports grounds, in St Albans, Hertfordshire, situated between the Arsenal Training Centre and the de Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre. The current Watford Training Ground was previously used by Arsenal F.C. until 1999 when they moved to their nearby own facilities.With an approximate area of 83,000 m², the centre is home to 4 full-size natural grass training pitches, 1 full-size artificial turf training pitch, 2 seven-a-side natural grass football pitches as well as a service centre with gymnasium, press rooms and medical facilities.

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum, formerly the de Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre, is a volunteer-run aviation museum in London Colney, Hertfordshire, England.The collection is built around the definitive prototype and restoration shops for the de Havilland Mosquito and also includes several examples of the de Havilland Vampire – the third operational jet aircraft in the world. The museum is the largest such museum devoted to one manufacturer in the country.

Colney Heath Local Nature Reserve is a 22.5 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Colney Heath in Hertfordshire. It is owned and managed by Colney Heath Parish Council. The site was acquired in the 1950s and 1960s, and it is a Hertfordshire Heritage Site.The site is acid grassland, which is unusual in Hertfordshire, and the River Colne runs through it. The heath is managed to maintain the grassland and the diversity of plant species along the river. A London coal-tax post is located on the north side of the river in the north-east corner of the site.There is access from the High Street and Church Lane.

The Arsenal Training Centre, often referred to as its geographical location London Colney in Hertfordshire, is the training ground of Arsenal Football Club. It houses ten full-size pitches, an indoor facility and a medical and rehabilitation centre. Constructed after manager Arsène Wenger campaigned for Arsenal to replace its existing University College London groundshare site, it opened in October 1999 at a cost of £10 million. The training centre was financed by the transfer of Nicolas Anelka to Real Madrid. As well as accommodating Arsenal's first team and youth teams, the centre from 2003 to 2012 acted as the training base for the England national football team before home internationals and friendlies. It has attracted criticism from local residents over environmental and catchment issues.

Colney Heath Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Colney Heath, Hertfordshire, England. Affiliated to the Hertfordshire County Football Association, they are currently members of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division and play at the Recreation Ground.

Colney Heath is a large village in Hertfordshire, England. The village became a civil parish in 1947 when the St. Peter Rural parish was split to form Colney Heath and London Colney. There is a converted windmill in the village. The civil parish also includes the settlements of Smallford and Sleapshyde.

St Peter Rural was a civil parish in Hertfordshire, England from 1894 to 1947. The local council was St Peter Rural Parish Council. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 from the part of the ancient parish of St Peter which was outside the Municipal Borough of St Albans. It was gradually reduced in size over the years. In 1913 992 acres were transferred to St Albans. In 1935 a further 436 acres were transferred as part of a county review order and 923 acres went to Bishops Hatfield. As part of the review 186 acres were gained from North Mimms, 67 acres from Ridge and 325 acres from Shenley. The population in 1901 was 3,568 and in 1931 it was 7,908.It was abolished in 1947, being split between the new parishes of Colney Heath and London Colney.

Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School (NBS) is a secondary school with academy status situated on the rural fringe of St Albans, an old Roman city in Hertfordshire, England. The school takes its name from the 12th-century priest St Albans-born and educated Nicholas Breakspear, who, as Pope Adrian IV, is the only Englishman ever to have occupied the papal chair. The school makes an annual pilgrimage to his tomb in Rome.

London Colney () is a village and civil parish in Hertfordshire, England. It is located to the north of London, close to Junction 22 of the M25 motorway. It is near St Albans and part of the St Albans District. At the time of the 2001 census the population of London Colney ward was 7,742, increasing to 9,507 at the 2011 Census. It is considered a satellite or dormitory village of St Albans, where some villagers travel to work and shop.

Smallford railway station was a station on the former St Albans Branch Line in the UK. The station opened as Springfield in 1866, and was renamed in 1879. The station closed permanently on New Year's Day 1969 when a haulage contract ended with a local scrap merchant, but it had already closed to passengers in 1951. The single platform still exists alongside the Alban Way rail trail, as does the ticket office, located in an adjacent builders' yard. The current Station Yard and Station Road mark the location of the station on what is now the Alban Way. In November 2012 it was announced that the Smallford Residents’ Association (SRA) had received £9,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a project named "Bringing the History of Smallford Station to Life", led by volunteers from the local area, and focusing on the history of Smallford Station, the branch line it served, and the impact this had on nearby communities. Jeff Lewis, SRA chair, said the association was excited at the thought of finding people who recall the station and branch line when they were operating and capturing their memories for posterity.A website was set up in February 2013, to provide a location where the complete history of the station can be found www.smallford.org

Sleapshyde is a small village in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. It is located between Hatfield and St Albans, to the south of Smallford and to the north of Colney Heath, of which it is located in the civil parish of. The village has one pub, The Plough, and used to have a Methodist church, now sold and converted to a private house. Sleapshyde has a conservation area that was designated by St Albans District Council on 31 March 1993.
