Hubbards is an unincorporated Canadian rural community on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Canadian Forces Station Mill Cove (CFS Mill Cove) is a former Canadian Forces Station and currently a naval radio station located near Hubbards, Nova Scotia. Built in 1967, it is remotely operated by the Canadian Forces from CFB Halifax.

The Lodge is a small community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in the Chester Municipal District on the Aspotogan Peninsula. Its only significant road is Nova Scotia Route 329, on the Lighthouse Route.

Black Point (2021 population: 486) is a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Black Point is the closest community in the Ten Beaches area to Metropolitan Halifax, just 30 minutes away, on Highway 3. Black Point is believed to have been given its name because its land mass appear black from outside of St. Margaret's Bay. Original land grants were given in 1786, but it was not until the 19th century that the community began to take shape. Black's Point first post office opened in 1867. A new school opened in 1879. A United Baptist Church was dedicated in 1898. Today, the fire station and community hall are focal points of the community, where community suppers and social events are held. The village also boasts some antique and craft shops, and has two sand beaches, the Black Point Beach and The Puddle Beach. Fernwood Publishing has been headquartered in Black Point since the early 1990s.

The Aspotogan Peninsula () is a peninsula in the eastern part of Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, separating St. Margarets Bay in the east from Mahone Bay in the west. The peninsula was originally settled by second generation French immigrants on the east (St. Margarets Bay) side and by second generation German immigrants on the west (Mahone Bay) side. Traditionally fishing was a major industry for communities throughout the peninsula, however other primary industries such as farming and forestry were historically important as well. Shipping and shipbuilding were secondary and tertiary industries that also came into prominence during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Northwest Cove is a cove on the St. Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, and the community on Aspotogan Peninsula that surrounds it. Administratively Northwest Cove is a General Service Area of the Chester Municipal District, and as such includes the areas also known as Southwest Cove and Coleman's Cove. Northwest Cove is on the Lighthouse Route (Nova Scotia Route 329). Several scenes from the television show Haven were shot in the Cove.

CKVE-FM is a Canadian radio station broadcasting at 88.7 FM in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is owned by Hubbards Radio Society and airs a community radio radio format. CKVE uses the on-air brand name 88.7 Cove FM.
