Valley Airport (TC LID: CDA3) is located adjacent to the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 104) in Valley, Nova Scotia, Canada, several kilometres northeast of Truro. The aerodrome was listed as closed in the Canada Flight Supplement dated 10 April 2008.

CINU-FM is a Canadian religious broadcasting radio station, broadcasting from Truro, Nova Scotia on 106.3 FM and is branded Hope 106.3 FM. The station has been on the air since September 2003 after receiving CRTC approval in June of that same year.Programs on the station have included the now defunct nationally syndicated CT-20 countdown of Christian music hits. On September 3, 2009, the station received approval to move from its old FM frequency of 98.5 to a new FM frequency at 106.3 MHz. The station also received approval in part to use 106.1 MHz.

The Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University is a Canadian agricultural college and faculty of Dalhousie University located in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. The Faculty of Agriculture offers the only university level programs in agriculture in Atlantic Canada. Founded 14 February 1905 as the Nova Scotia Agricultural College within the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, it merged with Dalhousie University on 1 September 2012. The campus is referred to as Dalhousie University's "Agricultural Campus" or by its popular sports nickname of "Dal AC" or simply the "AC."

Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) was a publicly owned Canadian university college (founded 14 February 1905 and administered within the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture) located at Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Bible Hill (Mi'kmaq: Wi'kopekwitk) is an incorporated village in Colchester County, Nova Scotia. It lies on the north bank of the Salmon River, opposite the town of Truro and the unincorporated community of Salmon River. The village is home to Bible Hill Junior High School, Bible Hill Consolidated Elementary School, Colchester Christian Academy, and the Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture. The Bible Hill Estates Trailer Park has been used as a filming location for the Trailer Park Boys television series service as the Sunnyvale Trailer Park.

North River is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in Colchester County near Truro, Nova Scotia. It was settled in the 1760s as part of what was then Onslow Township, one of the many townships set up by the British Government in Halifax to encourage planters to come to Nova Scotia to work the land. Onslow Township was settled by New England Planters from the area around Boston, Massachusetts and from New Hampshire. The original occupation of the new immigrants was farming.
