Truro station is an intercity railway station in Truro, Nova Scotia. It is operated by Via Rail.

Truro (Mi'kmaq: Wagobagitik; Scottish Gaelic: Truru) is a town in central Nova Scotia, Canada. Truro is the shire town of Colchester County and is located on the south side of the Salmon River floodplain, close to the river's mouth at the eastern end of Cobequid Bay.

The Colchester Legion Stadium is a 1625-seat multi-purpose arena in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Colchester Legion Stadium has six team dressing rooms, an officials room and first aid room. Canteens and washrooms are located at the front of the facility. Upstairs is a fully heated lounge which overlooks the ice surface or main venue area of the stadium.The facility served as home to the Truro Bearcats of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) from 1996 until 2013 until the team moved to the new Rath Eastlink Community Centre. The arena has hosted the 1998 Allan Cup as it was won by the Truro Bearcats senior team, 2001 World Under 17 Hockey Championships (co-hosted with New Glasgow) and the 2002 Fred Page Cup.Colchester Legion Stadium is also home to local High School Hockey, Minor Hockey, Lacrosse during the summer and a local figure skating club. Events such as expos, model railway shows, a circus and flea markets are held often during summer months. The arena hosted the Hockeyville NHL exhibition game between the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators on September 25, 2006. The Canadiens won the game 7-3. The nearby community of Salmon River won the CBC competition during the spring of 2006.

École acadienne de Truro is a Canadian francophone public school in Truro, Nova Scotia. It is operated by Conseil scolaire acadien provincial. Created in 1997, the École acadienne de Truro was the first francophone public school in central Nova Scotia.

Bible Hill (Mi'kmaq: Wi'kopekwitk) is an incorporated village in Colchester County, Nova Scotia. It lies on the north bank of the Salmon River, opposite the town of Truro and the unincorporated community of Salmon River. The village is home to Bible Hill Junior High School, Bible Hill Consolidated Elementary School, Colchester Christian Academy, and the Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture. The Bible Hill Estates Trailer Park has been used as a filming location for the Trailer Park Boys television series service as the Sunnyvale Trailer Park.

The Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University is a Canadian agricultural college and faculty of Dalhousie University located in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. The Faculty of Agriculture offers the only university level programs in agriculture in Atlantic Canada. Founded 14 February 1905 as the Nova Scotia Agricultural College within the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, it merged with Dalhousie University on 1 September 2012. The campus is referred to as Dalhousie University's "Agricultural Campus" or by its popular sports nickname of "Dal AC" or simply the "AC."

Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) was a publicly owned Canadian university college (founded 14 February 1905 and administered within the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture) located at Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Agricultural College merged with Dalhousie University and became Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture on 1 September 2012. The popular nickname remains the "AC".

The facility, which handles different levels of offenders, can accommodate up to 70 inmates. Nova Institution opened in 1995. Upper Onslow is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in Colchester County.

The Rath Eastlink Community Centre is a multi purpose sporting facility located in Truro, Nova Scotia. The facility features an NHL sized arena, a competition-sized (25m) swimming pool, a water slide, a fitness centre and, a rock climbing wall. The facility opened on March 2, 2013.The opening day was set for fall 2012 but, was delayed due to a steel plant fire, and painting issues during construction of the arena.

Onslow is a rural, unincorporated Canadian community in central Colchester County, Nova Scotia. The community is located along the north bank of the Salmon River, opposite the town of Truro and is largely a farming area. The area was first settled by Acadians and resettled after their expulsion as Onslow Township in 1761 by Irish emigrants under Colonel McNutt. The township is believed to have been named after Arthur Onslow.An important highway interchange is located in the community, where Highway 102 terminates at Highway 104. Onslow is home to Central Colchester Junior High School, operated by the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board. Onslow also contains a John Deere dealership and a volunteer fire department; the corner store has closed. In the fall and spring, migrating Canada geese are attracted to the farmlands. Onslow is geographically situated in an area with high winds, making it an excellent location for wind turbines. Some farmers in the area have chosen to erect wind turbines to power their farm(s). Nova Scotia Power has a power distribution point in Onslow where it interconnects the Halifax Regional Municipality with Cape Breton, South Shore and New Brunswick Power Transmission System.
