English High School (Worcester, Massachusetts)

Spirit of Knowledge Charter School was a public charter school in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. The school opened in the Fall of 2010 enrolling 156 students in grades 7–9. Julia Sigalovsky started as the school's Executive Director, but resigned at the end of the first school year in 2011. David Chauvette started as executive director halfway through the following school year (2012). Paula Bailey started as Executive Director at the beginning of the 2012–2013 school year. The charter school had multiple financial problems. After many board meetings, the board of trustees decided to close the troubled school. The school's students had to move out of the school and now are in other schools within the Worcester Public Schools. Investigation still continues for the school, although the school has closed.

The Russell is an historic apartment house in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in 1894, it is one of the few surviving apartment blocks, of many built, in the Main-Wellington-Chandler area, which had one of the city's highest concentrations of such buildings by 1900. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Robinson and Swan Blocks are a pair of mixed commercial-residential buildings at 104-108 Pleasant Street and 1-3 Irving Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built about 1884 to nearly identical designs by Fuller & Delano, the buildings are well-preserved examples of Victorian Gothic architecture executed in brick. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, but due to administrative lapses, are not listed in its NRIS database.

The Willard Richmond Apartment Block is an historic apartment house at 43 Austin Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built sometime between 1879 and 1886, it is one of the first apartment blocks built in the Main-Wellington-Chandler area, which had one of the city's highest concentrations of such buildings by 1900. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Horatio Tower House is a historic house at 71 Pleasant Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. It is one of the few relatively intact surviving instances of Italianate styling on the west side of the city. This two story frame house was built for Horatio Tower, a local builder whose work included the American Antiquarian Society hall and Mechanics Hall. Although the building has some Greek Revival features (such as the corner pilasters), its significant Italianate features include the deep cornice with brackets, and a front entry porch supported by Corinthian columns and a similarly styled roof.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Union Congregational Church or Chestnut Street Congregational Church is a historic Congregational church building at 5 Chestnut Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. The church is a well-preserved local example of Victorian Gothic Revival styling. Its basic appearance is reminiscent of the Notre Dame de Paris, although on a more modest scale. The building was designed by Earle & Fisher and construction took place between 1895 and 1897. Its main facade features twin towers flanking an entrance consisting of three trefoil arches, above which is a large rose window and an arched arcade connecting the two towers. The upper levels of the towers are open areas surrounded by paired narrow pointed-arch openings, and are decorated by crenellations and gargoyles. The main body of the church is covered in a slate roof (original replaced in 1948), and the stained glass of some of its windows was brought over from the buildings of other church congregations which merged into the Union congregation.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Rice-Hogg House is an historic house at 54 Elm Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in 1853 and substantially altered in 1897, it is a prominent local example of Colonial Revival architecture. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980..

Oxford–Crown Historic District is a historic district roughly bounded by Chatham, Congress, Crown, Pleasant, Oxford Streets and Oxford Place in Worcester, Massachusetts. The district contains Mid 19th Century Revival, Greek Revival, and Renaissance architecture. The area was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and expanded in 1980.Due to its proximity to the city's downtown and the assemblage of historically significant properties, the Crown Hill Neighborhood Association gathered to petition City Council to form a Local Historic District in 2008. In October 2010, the Crown Hill Survey Project commenced and in February 2011 the boundaries were created with the help of the neighborhood's property owners. Approval was granted by the Worcester Historical Commission two years after efforts began.

The S. D. Newton House is a historic house at 8 Sycamore Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in 1846, it is an excellent local instance of Greek Revival styling, and one of the few houses surviving from that period in the neighborhood. which once had many more of such houses. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 5, 1980. Unfortunately the current keeper of the home has let it go. Not much original left. Garbage everywhere on the inside. Lead paint, peeling paint. An eyesore it has become. It once was a great piece of local history.

The Katz and Leavitt Apartment House is an historic apartment house at 53 Elm Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. The five story brick building, built in 1926 to a design by the L. W. Briggs Company, is one of the most architecturally distinct apartment buildings in the city. It is faced with buff brick, except for the central section of the main facade, which is faced is decorative glazed tile. The feel of its design is Venetian Gothic, with a pointed-arch entry and other Gothic motifs repeated on the upper levels of the building.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Saint Joseph's Home for Working Girls is an historic social services building at 52 High Street in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed in 1924, it was operated for many years as a home for needy women by the Sisters of Mercy. Since 2009 it has been home to Abby's House, which continues the same mission. The building, designed by Edward Fitzgerald, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.
