Dingle Dell is a nature reserve in the suburb of St Heliers in Auckland, New Zealand. It consists of 6.48 hectares of native bush and a small grass field. The walk contains stairs and may not be suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are permitted off-leash. Dingle Dell has long been overlooked as a nature reserve, named by the New Zealand Herald in the 1950s the "Cinderella of Auckland's Parks."

Taylors Hill (also Te Taurere), is a volcano in the Auckland volcanic field. It erupted about 33,000 years ago. Its scoria cone reaches 56 m high. It was the site of a Māori pā (fortification), and retains earthworks from that era such as kumara (sweet potato) pits and terracing. It was most likely first occupied in 1400s, and was an area where ōnewa (greywacke) was quarried to make toki (stone adzes).Waiorohe (Karaka Bay) was a mooring site of Tainui waka inside the west heads of the Tāmaki. From here Horoiwi left the waka and settled with the Tangata whenua at Te Pane o Horoiwi. Te Keteanataua and Taihaua disembarked and made their way to Taurere, whilst Taikehu and others went on by foot to explore the upper reaches of the river and the shores of the Manukau Harbour. The Karaka trees of the bay descend from the sacred Karaka grove Te Uru-Karaka a Parehuia of Taurere Pa. Until the 18th century the area around Taylors Hill was the traditional eastern boundary for Waiohua lands, After the pā was attacked by Ngāti Whātua around the year 1750, Waiohua retreated to South Auckland. Ngāti Whātua gifted the land to Ngāti Pāoa in the late 1700s.The volcano is named for William Taylor, who purchased the land in 1845. The volcano's lower slopes and scoria mounds to the east and south were quarried away following European settlement, with only the north-west section of the volcanic area remaining. The area around the volcanic cone became a public reserve in the 1920s.

St Heliers Library is a local branch of Auckland Libraries, serving the suburb of Saint Heliers. It is an Auckland Council Heritage listed building category B.

St Heliers Memorial Fountain is a drinking fountain and war memorial located in St Heliers. It honours local St Heliers scoutmaster Guyon Brookfield who died in World War I in 1916. The memorial Fountain was unveiled in 1917, six months after Brookfield's death. It was unveiled in St Heliers Bay along Tāmaki Drive, facing east/west, before being later turned to its current position of north–south facing St Heliers Bay. The memorial was originally a water fountain, not a drinking fountain, which was a later addition. Chief Scoutmaster Reverend Stanton spoke at the unveiling, encouraging young people to emulate Brookfield's values. The memorial has appeared in lists of Auckland War Memorials, including on The New Zealand Herald.

Kohimarama is a coastal residential Auckland suburb, located to the east of the city. Kohimarama is situated between Mission Bay and St Heliers and has an accessible beach with a boardwalk and green recreational spaces located amongst residential areas. Local government of Kohimarama is the responsibility of the Ōrākei Local Board, which also includes the suburbs of Ōrākei, Mission Bay, St Heliers, Glendowie, St Johns, Meadowbank, Remuera and Ellerslie.

Saint Heliers is an affluent seaside suburb of Auckland with a population of 11,520 as of June 2022. This suburb is popular amongst visitors for the beaches, cafés, and views of Rangitoto Island, the distinctive volcanic island in the Hauraki Gulf. St. Heliers is located at the eastern end of Tamaki Drive, and used to be the place where the Tamaki estuary formally divided Auckland from Manukau City, until the entire Auckland region was amalgamated under a single city authority, the Auckland Council, in 2010. Local government of St. Heliers is the responsibility of the Ōrākei Local Board, which also covers the suburbs of Ōrākei, Kohimarama, Mission Bay, Glendowie, St Johns, Meadowbank, Remuera and Ellerslie.

Purewa Tunnel is a 596-metre-long (1,955 ft) rail tunnel in Auckland, New Zealand. It is on the North Island Main Trunk line and is located in the suburb of Saint Johns, to the west of Glen Innes. The tunnel is concrete-lined. Eastern Line passenger services operate through it, and it is also used by the Northern Explorer and freight services.

Glen Innes is a suburb in East Auckland, New Zealand, located nine kilometres to the east of the city centre, close to the waters of the Tamaki River estuary. Glen Innes gets its name from a large farm owned by William Innes Taylor that was here. There were four Taylor brothers in Auckland, the sons of a British man who had had a military career in India. Three of the brothers had farms in this area and built houses; William Innes Taylor at Glen Innes, Richard James Taylor at Glendowie and Charles John Taylor at Glen Orchard (now Saint Heliers). Their brother Allan Kerr Taylor had a farm estate in Mount Albert, whose house was called Alberton.The main streets in Glen Innes are Taniwha Street and Apirana Avenue, which meet in the shopping centre of the suburb. Glen Innes has a train station on the Eastern Line of the Auckland rail network, and is a hub for eastern Auckland isthmus buses (Metrolink). Glen Innes has for the most part been a low-income, working class area with around 1,500 state houses. In an effort to improve the quality of state housing in Glen Innes, the Government introduced "Talbot Park", an area of higher density housing, consisting of mostly apartment-style places.

Sacred Heart College is a secondary school in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a Catholic, Marist College set on 60 acres (24 ha) of land overlooking the Tamaki Estuary in Glen Innes.

Glendowie is a suburb in Auckland, New Zealand. It is under the local governance of Auckland Council. It was under Auckland City Council from 1989 until the merger of all of Auckland's councils into the "super city" in 2010.

Madills Farm Reserve, also known as Madills Farm, is a reserve and sports ground in the suburb of Kohimarama in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the home ground of Eastern Suburbs, the Kohimarama Yacht club and the Parnell Cricket Club.
