The USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy (also known as USC Iovine and Young Academy, the Academy, or IYA) is located at the University of Southern California in the United States. The Academy is the university’s 20th professional school.The Iovine and Young Academy is highly competitive and admits a small cohort of students each year. The program seeks to empower the next generation of thought leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs through a uniquely integrated curriculum focused on the intersection of arts and design; technology; venture management; and communication. The school's four-year cohort experience involves one-on-one faculty mentoring, industry and impact labs, and interactive learning. As of 2021, Academy startups have raised more than $120 million in funding and acquisition payouts.

The Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC) is on the campus of the University of Southern California, United States. It was founded using a grant from the US National Science Foundation in 1996 for the study of Integrated Media Systems. The original mission was focused on the advancement the integration of digital video, immersive audio, text, animation and graphics to transform the way people work, communicate, learn, teach, entertain and play. By using cross-disciplinary programs of research and education, the Center has taken multimedia to a new level of technological sophistication.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a museum founded by filmmaker George Lucas and his wife, businesswoman Mellody Hobson. Once completed, the museum will hold all forms of visual storytelling, including painting, photography, sculpture, illustration, comic art, performance, and video. It is under construction in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California. The museum is expected to open in 2025.

USC Fisher Museum of Art, formerly USC Fisher Gallery, which is affiliated with the University of Southern California, is the first art museum established in the city of Los Angeles. Founded in 1939 by Elizabeth Holmes Fisher, she donated 29 paintings at the beginning. When she died in 1955, the collection had grown to 74 paintings, drawings and sculptures by European and North American artists. In 1955, Armand Hammer donated to the museum a collection of 48 works by Dutch, Flemish, German, and Italian masters of the fifteenth through seventeenth centuries. In recent years, the 20th and 21st centuries collections are growing fast, not only in size, but in scope. The later collections span the medias of painting, prints, drawings, photography, and sculpture.Highlights of the collections include: Venus Wounded by a Thorn (ca. 1608-1610) by Peter Paul Rubens, St. John the Evangelist (1618-1620) by Anthony van Dyck (attributed to), Isabella Hunter formerly Mrs. Anne Downman (ca. 1776-1790) by Angelica Kauffmann, Emma, Lady Hamilton by George Romney, Mrs. Burroughs (1769) by Thomas Gainsborough, Femme Etandant Son Linge by Jean-François Millet, Richard Nixon (1972) by Andy Warhol, and Blacklist (1999) by Jenny Holzer.

The USC School of Architecture (USCArchitecture) is the architecture school at the University of Southern California. Located in Los Angeles, California, it is one of the university's twenty-two professional schools, offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of architecture, building science, landscape architecture and heritage conservation.The USC School of Architecture has enrolled over 6,500 alumni and is consistently ranked among the most prestigious architecture schools in the United States. For 2018, the undergraduate program in architecture was ranked 5th, and the graduate program in architecture was ranked 9th in the nation by DesignIntelligence. Since its founding as a department in 1914, the school has produced some of the world's leading architects, including Frank Gehry, Paul R. Williams, Pierre Koenig and Thom Mayne, among others. The current dean of the school is Willow Bay and faculty comprises notable architects including Alvin Huang, Wes Jones, Lorcan O'Herlihy and Lawrence Scarpa.

Expo Park/USC station is an at-grade light rail station on the E Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. The station is located in the center median of Exposition Boulevard near entrances to Exposition Park (Expo Park) and the University of Southern California (USC), after which the station is named. The 37th Street/USC station for the J Line of the Los Angeles Metro Busway system is located a few blocks east of the station. The station is located close to several major museums and sporting venues including the Banc of California Stadium, the California Science Center and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. During the 2028 Summer Olympics, the station will serve spectators traveling to and from venues inside Expo Park including opening/closing ceremonies along with track and field events at the Coliseum and football (soccer) matches at the Banc of California Stadium.

Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute is on the campus of the University of Southern California. G. K. Surya Prakash serves as the Director and holds the George A. and Judith A. Olah Nobel Laureate Chair of Chemistry. The institute conducts research in polymer science, materials chemistry, and hydrocarbon chemistry.

The Exposition Park Rose Garden is a historic 7-acre (28,000 m2) sunken garden located in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California. It has been called "one of the city's best-kept secrets". It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Exposition Park is a 160-acre urban park (65 ha) in the south region of Los Angeles, California, in the Exposition Park neighborhood. Established in 1872 as an agricultural fairground, the park includes the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Banc of California Stadium, the California Science Center, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, and the California African American Museum. The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is under construction. Bounded by Exposition Boulevard to the north, South Figueroa Street to the east, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the south and Menlo Avenue to the west, it is directly south of the main campus of the University of Southern California.The park is public open space, managed by the Sixth District Agricultural Association.

The opening ceremony of the 1932 Summer Olympics took place at 14:30 PDT, on Saturday, July 30, 1932, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Then known as "Los Angeles Olympic Stadium". As mandated by the Olympic Charter, the proceedings of this international sporting event included welcoming speeches, hoisting of the flags and the parade of nations. It was held in-front of a crowd of over 101,000 people in attendance, a record not broken until the Sydney 2000 Summer Games. The Games were officially opened by Vice-President of the United States of America Charles Curtis. The master of ceremonies was prominent Los Angeles journalist Bill Henry. He was technical director and stadium announcer. The production team was kept in-house by the organizing committee.

The opening ceremony of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games took place on the afternoon of Saturday, July 28, in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles. As mandated by the Olympic Charter, the proceedings combined the formal ceremonial opening of this international sporting event (including welcoming speeches, hoisting of the flags and the parade of athletes) with an artistic spectacle to showcase the host nation's culture. The 1984 Games were formally opened by President of the United States Ronald Reagan. The event was conducted in front of 92,516 attendants. The ceremony was a $5 million production, titled Music of America.

The closing ceremony of the 1984 Summer Olympics took place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, August 12 1984 at 20:00 PDT.
