Fiesta Henderson (formerly The Reserve) was a hotel and casino located on 35 acres (14 ha) of land at 777 West Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson, Nevada. Gem Gaming announced the project in 1995, as The Reserve, with an opening planned for July 4, 1996. Construction began later in 1995, and the project was topped off in May 1996, with an opening scheduled for October 1. Steve Rebeil and Dominic Magliarditi, both of Gem Gaming, were the project developers. Later in 1996, Ameristar Casinos planned to purchase Gem Gaming, and construction slowed to allow for an expanded redesign of the project, which was then expected to open between March and April 1997. In January 1997, Rebeil and Magliarditi were denied gaming licenses to operate the casino. Later that year, construction was stopped for three months when Ameristar accused Rebeil and Magliarditi of attempting to prevent Ameristar from issuing 7.5 million public stocks, which was to pay for the acquisition of Gem Gaming. Ameristar Casinos ultimately opened The Reserve on February 10, 1998, with an African safari/jungle theme, although the resort failed to generate a substantial profit. In 2001, The Reserve was purchased by Station Casinos, which renovated and rebranded the hotel-casino as the southwestern party-themed Fiesta Henderson. It was a sister property to Station's Fiesta Rancho, located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Nevada casinos were closed on March 17, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Up to that point, the Fiestas were among Station's worst-performing properties. Although casinos were allowed to reopen later in 2020, the Fiesta closures would become permanent. Station announced in July 2022 that it would demolish the properties and sell the land.

Henderson is a city in Clark County, Nevada, United States, about 16 miles (26 km) southeast of downtown Las Vegas. It is the 2nd most populous city in Nevada, after Las Vegas, with an estimated population of 320,189 in 2019. The city is part of the Las Vegas Valley. Henderson occupies the southeastern end of the valley, at an elevation of 1,864 feet (568 m). Henderson is known for its supply of magnesium during World War II. With the decline of magnesium production, the Nevada legislature approved a bill that gave Nevada's Colorado River Commission the authority to purchase the industrial plants, and Henderson was incorporated in 1953. Henderson is the location of Lake Las Vegas.

Touro University Nevada (TUN) is a private university in Henderson, Nevada. It is part of the Touro College and University System. Touro University Nevada is a branch campus of its sister campus Touro University California.

On May 4, 1988, a fire followed by several explosions occurred at the Pacific Engineering and Production Company of Nevada (PEPCON) chemical plant in Henderson, Nevada. The disaster caused two fatalities, 372 injuries, and an estimated $100 million of damage. A large portion of the Las Vegas Valley within a 10-mile (16 km) radius of the plant was affected, and several agencies activated disaster plans.

K36NE-D, virtual channel 43 (UHF digital channel 36), is a low-powered, Class A 3ABN-affiliated television station licensed to Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The station is owned by HC2 Holdings.

KWNR (95.5 FM "95.5 The Bull") is a commercial radio station licensed to Henderson, Nevada, and broadcasting to the Las Vegas Valley. KWNR airs a country music radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The radio studios and offices are on Freemont Street in Las Vegas, a mile west of the Strip. On weekdays, KWNR carries two nationally syndicated country music programs, "The Bobby Bones Show" in morning drive time and "After Midnite with Granger Smith" heard overnight. KWNR has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, currently the maximum for FM stations. The transmitter is on Black Mountain in Henderson. KWNR broadcasts using HD Radio technology. The HD-2 digital subchannel plays classic country music. The HD-3 subchannel carries a Regional Mexican format known as "La Campensina 96.7" which feeds FM translator K244EX at 96.7 MHz.

KCEP (88.1 MHz) is a non-commercial FM radio station located in Las Vegas, Nevada. KCEP airs an urban contemporary music format branded as "Power 88". Its studios are in Las Vegas and its transmitter is on Black Mountain in Henderson. KCEP for years has been able to thrive in the Las Vegas market serving the African American community since its launch on October 7, 1972. The station under its format plays R&B, Hip Hop, Classic Soul, Old School, Gospel and Jazz. Under this rubric music selection, KCEP has been a non-commercial alternative to Las Vegas' mainstream commercial stations that play similar music such as KVEG, KLUC and KOAS currently. (KYMT and KCYE formerly had former such formats in the 2000s.) As of May 2010, it is the affiliate for the syndicated Michael Baisden show in the afternoons. Other syndicated programming includes the Bobby Jones Gospel Countdown from AURN and Tell Me More with Michel Martin from NPR.

KSNE-FM (106.5 MHz) is a radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary music format. Licensed to Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the station serves the Las Vegas area. The station is owned by iHeartMedia. Its studios are in Las Vegas a mile west of the Strip and its transmitter is on Black Mountain in Henderson. KSNE broadcasts three channels in the HD Radio format.

KMXB (94.1 FM, "Mix 94-1") is a commercial radio station licensed to Henderson, Nevada, and serving the Las Vegas radio market. KMXB airs a hot adult contemporary radio format and is owned by Audacy, Inc. The station's studios and offices are located in the unincorporated Clark County community of Spring Valley, while its transmitter is atop Black Mountain in Henderson. KMXB broadcasts in the HD Radio format. Its HD2 subchannel carries Channel Q, an Audacy format of LGBTQ talk and EDM dance music. The HD3 subchannel carries a talk format branded as "101.5 K-Dawn", which serves as the continuation of the programming of the former KDWN and the originating station for translator station K268CS (101.5).

KKLZ (96.3 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The station is owned by Beasley Broadcast Group and airs a classic hits music format branded as "96-3 KKLZ". The KKLZ studios are located in Spring Valley, an unincorporated area of Clark County, while its transmitter is on Black Mountain in Henderson.

KISF (103.5 FM, "Zona MX 103.5") is a commercial radio station located in Las Vegas, Nevada. KISF airs a regional Mexican music format, and is the Las Vegas affiliate for El Bueno, La Mala, Y El Feo in the morning and El Free-Guey in the afternoon. Its studios are in Spring Valley and its transmitter is on Black Mountain in Henderson. KISF is owned by Latino Media Network; under a local marketing agreement, the station is programmed by previous owner TelevisaUnivision's Uforia Audio Network.
