The Praça Diogo de Vasconcelos or Praça da Savassi (Diogo de Vasconcelos Square or Savassi Square) is a public square of Savassi, in the city of Belo Horizonte. It is located at the confluence of the avenues Cristóvão Colombo and Getúlio Vargas. Also there flow the streets Pernambuco and Antônio de Albuquerque. Its official name honors the politician and historian Diogo de Vasconcelos, which stood out as a pioneer in defense of the historical and artistic heritage, mining and national level and is considered the first historian of art in Brazil. The official name is not as popular as the informal Square Savassi, which derives from the Bakery Savassi who had a seat at the corner of Rua Pernambuco with avenida Cristóvão Colombo. The marquee's original bakery could still be seen on the site, behind the plateboutiqueToulon until the installation of a coffee shop Arturo's, when it was removed. The square a lively meeting place for belo-horizontinos, since it is located in the center of the neighborhood of Savassi, an important commercial city. The wide range of patrons range from families who go shopping or to the cafes and restaurants in the area until the young bohemian who frequents the bars or spend the weekend nights on the banks of the square. Since 2006, the site that once housed mostly boutiques, restaurants and snack bars, shops was invaded by mobile companies. The patrons of the traditional Café Três Corações (Three Hearts Café) came to protest against its closure at the site due to the opening of a store operator Claro. After the protest, the cafe has been reopened in a smaller area, corresponding to a small fraction of the old facility, with access only by Rua Antonio de Albuquerque.

Colégio Santo Antônio (St. Anthony School) is a private Catholic Franciscan primary and secondary school located in the Savassi neighborhood of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It is maintained by Casa de Santo Antonio (St. Anthony House). The institution has stood out in the Brazilian scenario for its excellent performance in the National High School Exam, leading the ranking of schools with more than 100 students who took the exam. It is also a reference in approvals in entrance exams for several universities in the country and around the world.

The KM de Vantagens Hall (originally known as the Marista Hall) is an events centre in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, located on the campus of the Colégio Marista Dom Silvério. The goal was to create an environment with a great diversity of spaces. It includes a multipurpose room, a theater, an arena, courts, and a parking lot; this structure is suitable for a wide variety of cultural, artistic, and sports events, be it of a technical, commercial or recreational nature.

Colégio Marista Dom Silvério, or CMDS, is a private Marist school located on the southern region of Belo Horizonte, in Brazil. Its courses go from pre-school to high school, which in the Brazilian educational system is usually identified with ages from 4 to 17. CMDS was founded in 1950, and hosts more than 3,000 students. Part of the school's finances were used for the seven-year-long construction of Marista Hall. The school is named after Dom Silvério Gomes Pimenta, a Catholic priest of the early twentieth century who was a member of the Academia Brasileira de Letras, the Brazilian Academy of Literature. The current principal of CMDS is Professor Edison de Souza Leite.

The Palácio da Liberdade is a building in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, which was for several years the office of the government of Minas Gerais state. It was built in 1897. In the 1950s the Governor Juscelino Kubitschek started building his new residence, the Palácio das Mangabeiras. Nowadays, the Palácio da Liberdade is part of the Circuito Cultural da Praça da Liberdade and it is used for mandate's transfers solemn ceremonies.

The Juscelino Kubitschek Arena is the indoor multisport stadium of Minas Tênis Clube. The name is a homage to the former Belo Horizonte's mayor, former Minas Gerais governor and former Brazilian president Juscelino Kubitschek. The stadium is also called Minas Tênis Clube Arena. Previously, it was also called Telemig Celular Arena and Vivo Arena due to naming rights. It is located in Lourdes neighborhood in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and is part of the Minas I complex, the club's headquarter. The stadium occupies an area of more than 7.000 m². Its capacity can reach up to 5,000 spectators, varying in the type of event it is hosting.

The Gibiteca Antonio Gobbo is a major public collection of comics books in Brazil. It is one of the biggest of this kind in Brazil and Latin America. It is in the city of Belo Horizonte, in Minas Gerais state, Brazil. The Gibiteca is located at the "Biblioteca Pública Infantil e Juvenil de Belo Horizonte," that belongs to the "Fundação Municipal de Cultura de Belo Horizonte" (Municipal Foundation of Culture of Belo Horizonte).

The Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes (Portuguese: Basílica de Nossa Senhora de Lourdes), also known as the Basilica of Belo Horizonte, is a Catholic church built in a predominantly neo-Gothic style, which is located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Its construction was completed around 1923. The author of the project was Manoel Tunes, and the works were made by Antonio Gonçalves Gravatá. In 1958 he was elevated to Basilica by decision of Pope Pius XII. The Church has three naves and has a length of 47 meters in length and 17 in width. In the interior there are three images of the Virgin Mary in her invocation of Our Lady of Lourdes, A wooden one, usually used in processions and coronations; A sculpted one in plaster, more than 100 years old, that is in the Grotto of Lourdes and another on the altar, which was brought from Rio de Janeiro on the occasion of the consecration of the church to the status of basilica, an act formally made in 1958.

Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG School of Law) is the university's oldest unit, and even appeared before UFMG.
