Amaravila

Neyyattinkara Taluk is a Taluk (tehsil) in Thiruvananthapuram district in the Indian state of Kerala. It situated in the Southern part of the Thiruvananthapuram district. It comprises 21 villages and one municipality. It is the southernmost taluk in the state.

Neyyattinkara, is a Municipal Town and a major industrial and commercial hub located at the southern tip of Thiruvananthapuram metropolitan area in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala State, and also the headquarters of Neyyattinkara Taluk. The town is situated on the banks of Neyyar River, one of the principal rivers in the district and hence its name. Neyyatinkara in Malayalam literally means "the shore of the river Neyyar". Neyyattinkara is the second most densely populated municipality in the district after Varkala.

In 2018–19 FY, Neyyattinkara generated Rs 2.32cr profit from 1.7 million passengers.

Amaravila Rameswaram Sri Mahadeva Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva is situated on the banks of the Neyyar (river) at Amaravila of Neyyattinkara (tehsil) in Thiruvananthapuram District in Kerala state in India. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Rameswara facing west. It is believed that Amaravila Rameswaram Sri Mahadeva temple is one of the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala and is installed by sage Parasurama dedicated to Shiva. The temple is located 6 km away from Neyyattinkara town in Amaravila village. It is one of the two Rameswaram temples in 108 Shivalaya Sothram. The Kollam Rameshwaram Mahadeva Temple is the second Rameshwaram Temple. The temple is located in the town of Kollam.

Balaramapuram is the centre for production for traditional varieties of handloom worn in contemporary styles throughout Kerala. Balaramapuram is a major trade centre for clothing, groceries, furniture, electrictonics, metals etc. Balaramapuram is also known for mutton, chicken, oyster and fish dishes. There are multiple religious groups in Balaramapuram, including a Christian church, St Sebastian's Church.

Aruvippuram is a village in the southern district of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India. It is famous for the Siva temple established by Sri Narayana Guru. The Guru consecrated the Siva idol, the first non brahmin to do so in Kerala society, in the year 1888. Aruvippuram Sivarathri is a very popular event attended by a large numbers of devotees and followers of Guru. Sivarathri also marks the anniversary of the Aruvippuram Siva temple. Koduthooki Mala is a rocky hill nearby the Aruvippuram Siva temple. There is a cave on top of this hill, where Guru used to visit for rest, solitariness and meditation tapas. SNDP Yogam is formed at Aruvippuram, which was a historical event in Kerala history.

Perumpazhuthoor is a village on the bank of Neyyar River, about 3 km away from the taluk municipality of Neyyattinkara in Thiruvananthapuram district in the Indian state of Kerala. This place lies on the road leading from Neyyattinkara (off NH 47) towards the tourist attraction Neyyar Dam. This place is a pilgrim centre for Sri Narayana Guru pilgrim temple is situated here. The Sri Narayana Guru Temple is located at a lush green scenic spot on the Neyyar's shore. Perumpazhuthoor's high school has since grown to a Junior College, and it has a Polytechnic Institute.
