Joseph Sedacca Residence or Sedacca House in Northwest Harbor, New York is the third residential house designed by the American architect Charles Gwathmey (1938–2009).The house, the curtilage of which covers 3 acres, was built by John Caramagna in 1968 is surrounded by tall white pine trees and dogwoods. It is the first modernist beach residence designed by the American architect Charles Gwathmey. After the 1100-square-feet house was built in 1968, the exterior combination with geometric shapes and blocks, plus its interior abundance use of glasses and steels with a stylish spiral staircase, made it stand out in a neighborhood dominated by shingle style Cape Cod houses. Sedacca House was frequently the background of wedding photos and appeared on the cover pages and articles of both American and other fashion and architecture magazines. In 1968, Sedacca House won the American Institute of Architects (AIA) New York Honor Award. In Gwathmey's words, "[It] broke the mold of the vernacular, shingle-style house and showed for the first time a modern house that was not imitative or historicist.” The Sedacca House has been sold a few times. Still, it receives significant local concern about added alteration and global attention as a distinguished modernist architecture in East Hampton.

The Sag Harbor State Golf Course is 48.8-acre (197,000 m2), 9-hole golf facility is located in the middle of a 341-acre (1.38 km2) parcel known as the Barcelona Neck Natural Resources Management Area. The golf course is entirely located in the town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The course first opened in 1926 and was run by a group of volunteers for over half a century. The property was acquired by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in 1989. The course was taken over by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in 1997.

Sag Harbor Hills, Azurest, and Ninevah Beach Subdivisions Historic District (SANS) is an African American beachfront community in Sag Harbor, New York. Founded following World War II, the SANS community served primarily as a summer retreat for middle-class African American families during the post-WWII and Jim Crow era. African American families were not allowed at beachfront resorts, pools or beaches, and SANS began as a place of refuge from racial strife. The historic district is bordered by Hempstead Street, Richards Drive, Hampton Street, Lincoln Street, Harding Terrace, Terry Drive and the eastern end of Haven's Beach in Sag Harbor. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 10, 2019.

The home and studio of American abstract expressionist artist Elaine de Kooning, at 55 Alewive Brook Road in East Hampton, New York in the US, is a historic site that was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 26, 2022.

Smith-Taylor Cabin is an historic Adirondack style log cabin located in Coecles Harbor on Taylor's Island (Cedar Island) at Shelter Island in Suffolk County, New York. The original cabin was built around 1900 by Francis Marion Smith of "20 Mule Team Borax" fame. In 1937 S. Gregory Taylor (Soterios Gregorios Tavoulares) added a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, foyer, and landmark tower with catwalk. It was added to the New York State and National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

St. David African Methodist Episcopal Zion Cemetery is a historic cemetery located in the Eastville community of Sag Harbor, New York. It is anchored by the AME church, the Eastville Historical Society House on NY 114 and the St. David Cemetery. The site has around 100 graves, including that of Reverend J. P. Thompson, the first pastor of the St. David AME Zion Church.

Sag Harbor was the terminus of the abandoned Sag Harbor Branch of the Long Island Rail Road, and was one of two stations within the village of Sag Harbor, New York. It opened in 1870 with the arrival of the LIRR into Sag Harbor, and was the eastern terminus of the LIRR on the south fork of Long Island until 1895, when the Brooklyn and Montauk Railroad built a line from Bridgehampton to Montauk, thus converting the line into a spur north of Bridgehampton. Besides the standard passenger station, it also contained a freight house, and "express building," two yards, a spur to "Long Wharf" which was owned by the LIRR affiliated Montauk Steamboat Company, a coal trestle, a turntable, and a three-story grain storage building owned by The station was rebuilt in 1909 in a manner similar to such stations as Riverhead, Bay Shore, Manhasset, and Bayside stations, among others. During World War I, it was used to transport torpedoes to Long Wharf in order to test them. It was abandoned in 1939 along with the branch. Today, Long Wharf is Suffolk County Road 81, and the former freight house became the Sag Harbor Garden Center's retail store until February 1, 2022, when renovations began to transform to building into Kidd Squid Brewing Company's flagship tasting room, which opened in July 2022 and continues in operation today.

Temple Adas Israel is Reform Jewish synagogue in Sag Harbor, Suffolk County, on Long Island, New York, in the United States. It is one of the 19th century synagogue buildings in the United States.

The Meigs Raid (also known as the Battle of Sag Harbor) was a military raid by American Continental Army forces, under the command of Connecticut Colonel Return Jonathan Meigs, on a British Loyalist foraging party at Sag Harbor, New York on May 24, 1777, during the American Revolutionary War. Six Loyalists were killed and 90 captured while the Americans suffered no casualties. The raid was made in response to a successful British raid on Danbury, Connecticut in late April that was opposed by American forces in the Battle of Ridgefield. Organized in New Haven, Connecticut by Brigadier General Samuel Holden Parsons, the expedition crossed Long Island Sound from Guilford on May 23, dragged whaleboats across the North Fork of Long Island, and raided Sag Harbor early the next morning, destroying boats and supplies.

Sag Harbor Union Free School District is a public school district located primarily in the Town of Southampton, with a small portion in the Town of East Hampton, on Long Island, in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It services the villages of Sag Harbor and North Haven, the majority of the hamlet of Noyack, as well as portions of the unincorporated communities of Sag Harbor and Sagaponack.The total enrollment for the 2019–2020 school year was 919 students.Sag Harbor is bordered by the Southampton and Bridgehampton school districts to the southwest, the Sagaponack and Wainscott districts to the south, and the East Hampton district to the southeast.

Pierson Middle-High School is a middle and high school located in Sag Harbor, Suffolk County, New York. Serving students in grades 6 through 12, it is the sole secondary school in the Sag Harbor Union Free School District. Pierson Middle-High School currently offers students the option to take Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses. Pierson is one of only nine schools on Long Island to offer the IB Diploma Program.The school mascot is the "Whalers," playing homage to the village's history as a major whaling port. Students play football at East Hampton High School as the Bonackers, in a consortium that also includes the Bridgehampton School. Bridgehampton in turn sends athletes from some other sports to play at Pierson.
