Hesston Steam Museum

Hesston is an unincorporated community in Galena Township, LaPorte County, Indiana.

The Galena River is an 8.5-mile-long (13.7 km) stream in northern Indiana in the United States. It rises in the northeast corner of Springfield Township, about 5 miles (8 km) north of LaPorte in LaPorte County and flows northeast. Just after it crosses the state boundary into Three Oaks Township in Berrien County, Michigan, it is joined from the east by Spring Creek to form the South Branch Galien River. After becoming the Galien River in Michigan, the river ultimately flows to Lake Michigan in New Buffalo.

Deer Creek is a stream in Berrien County, in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is a tributary to the South Branch Galien River. Deer Creek was named for the abundance of deer along its course.

La Lumiere School is a Catholic college preparatory boarding and day school located on a 190-acre campus in Springfield Township, LaPorte County, Indiana in the United States.The school was founded in 1963 by Raymond E. Daly and a group of Indiana friends and business associates who set out to form an independent, Catholic day school for boys. The founding group included James R. Moore, La Lumiere's first headmaster, Daly, Andrew J. McKenna, Frank J. Lanigan, Lex B. Wilkinson, A.J. Rumely, Charles F. Murphy, James F. Connaughton, Richard G. Schaub, and Walter F. Sheehan. The land on which the school sits was owned by Edward Lalumier, an executive with the Armour Meat Packing Company in Chicago. He eventually became the namesake of the new institution.

Camp Tel Hai (Hebrew: מחנה תל חי makhane tel khai) was an early summer camp kvutza of the Chicago chapter of the Habonim youth movement and one of the first summer camps of Habonim in North America. Founded in 1935 near New Buffalo, Michigan on the site of an old Farband summer camp that had been damaged by fire, Tel Hai operated for ten years before being destroyed by fire around 1945.
