Hammarbyhöjden metro station

Willy Brandts Park is a small park in Hammarbyhöjden, Stockholm. It is named after former German Chancellor Willy Brandt, who lived in the area in the 1940s during his exile from Nazi Germany. The park got its current name in 1997. A sculpture by German artist Rainer Fetting depicting Willy Brandt has been erected in the park and was unveiled on June 14, 2007.

Hammarbyhöjden is a city district in Stockholm, Sweden. The district is split across two boroughs: Most of it is located in Skarpnäck borough, the subdistrict Blåsut is located in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör borough. As of December 31, 2007, Hammarbyhöjden had 8,143 inhabitants.The Stockholm metro station Hammarbyhöjden is an elevated station opened in 1958. The station is served by the green line 17.

Hammarby Depot is a depot for maintenance of the Stockholm Metro and the infrastructure of Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, located in Söderort, Stockholm County. The Hammarby Depot is connected to Skärmarbrink metro station. The depot started operations in the 1940s when SS moved their workshop from Råsunda to Hammarby. Hammarby became a workshop/depot for the southern part of the 17, 18 and 19 lines when the 1st metro between Hökarängen and Slussen opened in 1950, but even Högdalsdepån is a workshop for this part of the Stockholm metro since 1957. A new facility for infrastructure maintenance vehicles and has been built in the eastern part of the complex, replacing the original parking hall for trains. It was taken into service in 2016.

Sicklauddsbron (Swedish: "The Bridge of Cape Sickla") or Apatêbron ("Bridge Apatê") is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. It stretches over Sickla kanal in Södra Hammarbyhamnen. The name Sickla is believed to be derived from a 15th-century provincial word, sik, meaning "minor marsh". The bridge is named Apatê, a Greek word meaning mirage or illusion. Designed by the architects Magnus Ståhl, Erik Andersson (architect), and Jelena Mijanovic, it was awarded the European Steel Design Award in 2003.Sicklauddsbron is a stainless steel pedestrian bridge, 62 metres in length. The load-bearing sections are made of 80 tonnes hot-rolled duplex stainless steel gauge plates, 25 mm thick, which were water cut, flanged, and welded before being reassembled on the site. From the concrete abutments tension cables stretches the central part of the bridge, an arched box girder triangular in section. The lighting is built-in into the stainless steel handrails, while the pathway is covered with asphalt.

Sickla kanalbro (Swedish: "Sickla Canal Bridge") is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. Stretching over Sickla kanal ("Canal of Sickla"), it connects Södra Hammarbyhamnen to Nacka. The name Sickla is believed to be derived from a 15th-century provincial word, sik, meaning "minor marsh".A product of post-WW2 traffic loads, the bridge was built 1954-1955 as a continuous steel girder bridge resting on four supports and carrying a concrete roadway. 60 metres long and 10,3 metres wide, the bridge passes over three spans with a maximum span of 23 metres and an average horizontal clearance over the canal of 4,6 metres. The supports are built on a foundation of concrete poles, while the abutments are resting directly on the bedrock. The bridge was originally built with a future widening in mind, something which had to wait until 1979 when a 2,6 metres wide cantilevering pathway was added on the south side of the roadway.

Hammarby Sjöstad is a part of the inner city of Stockholm, currently undergoing major urban redevelopment. It is located on both sides of lake Hammarby Sjö, bordering Nacka Municipality to the east. The area is part of the districts Södermalm and Södra Hammarbyhamnen. Before the current redevelopment began, the area was known as Norra Hammarbyhamnen and Södra Hammarbyhamnen, a mainly industrial zone centered on the Lumafabriken works, a piece of functionalist architecture designed by Eskil Sundahl and Arthur von Schmalensee, which now houses a library and offices. The neighbouring Lugnet was a run-down light industrial area, not intended to be permanent, housing an impromptu trailer park. On the north side of the lake, the Norra Hammarbyhamnen area was used as a harbour area, with a railway connecting the area. New plans for most of the Södermalm area Norra Hammarbyhamnen in the early 1990s opened the door for a redevelopment of the entire area around the water expanse Hammarby Sjö. A general plan, featuring an extension of the Tvärbanan light rail link from Gullmarsplan through the area was presented. Although the south and east part of Hammarby Sjöstad is located outside what is traditionally considered to be the perimeter of inner-city Stockholm, the design is intentionally semi-urban rather than suburban, with boulevards, somewhat defined and architecturally varied city blocks, and commercial spaces in the ground floor of some buildings. The location, next to the lake Hammarby Sjö and a canal, Sickla Kanal, has allowed for plenty of quays and walkways along the water. The area also included the 1940s area Danviksklippan that remains unchanged of the ongoing development. Neighbourhoods includes most of Norra Hammarbyhamnen, Tegelviksgatan, Sickla Udde, Sickla Kaj, Luma and Sickla Kanal. Administratively, Hammarby Sjöstad is a part of the Stockholm Municipality borough of Södermalm. It belonged to the former borough of Katarina-Sofia, which merged with Maria-Gamla Stan borough into Södermalm borough on January 1, 2007.

Enskededalen is a district (Swedish: stadsdel) in Skarpnäck borough, Stockholm, Sweden. Enskededalen has 2,253 inhabitants as of December 31, 2007.Enskededalen consists mostly of detached housing which were built as a garden city in the 1920s.

Björkhagen metro station is on the green line of the Stockholm metro, located in Björkhagen, Söderort. The station was inaugurated on 18 November 1958 as a part of the extension from Hammarbyhöjden to Bagarmossen. The distance to Slussen is 4.8 km (3.0 mi).

Hammarby sjö (Swedish: "Lake Hammarby") is a watercourse in central Stockholm, Sweden. Separating Stockholm City Centre from South Stockholm, or, more locally, Norra Hammarbyhamnen on eastern Södermalm from Södra Hammarbyhamnen, it connects Saltsjön to Årstasjön. Covering a surface of 34 hectares and having an average depth of 4.5 metres (maximum 6 metres), Hammarby sjö is supplied by a drainage area covering 159 hectares and contains 1,600,000 cubic metres of water. Originally a lake about 3 metres deep, it was transformed into a canal when connected to Saltsjön in the 1920s and a 6 metres deep channel was dug between Hammarbyslussen and Saltsjön and another to Sickla sluss. The importance of the water expanse has grown since the late 20th century as new residential areas have been constructed along its shores.Four bridges stretch over Hammarby Sjö and connected bodies of water: Danviksbron, Skansbron, Skanstullsbron and Johanneshovsbron.

Skärmarbrink metro station is on the line 17 and 18 of the Stockholm metro, located in Skärmarbrink, Johanneshov, Söderort. The station, opened on 1 October 1950, then called Hammarby until 16 April 1958, was on the first metro line opened, from Slussen south to Hökarängen via Blåsut. On 16 April 1958, one-station extension to Hammarbyhöjden was opened. Skärmarbrink is connected to Hammarbydepån, a depot/garage for buses and subway trains which is located south of the station.

Blåsut metro station is a station on the green line of the Stockholm metro, located in Blåsut ("Blowout"), Johanneshov, Söderort. The station was on the first metro line (from Slussen south to Hökarängen) and opened on 1 October 1950. It is 3.6 km (2.2 mi) from Slussen.

Kärrtorp is a district (Swedish: stadsdel) in the Skarpnäck borough of Stockholm, Sweden,. Kärrtorp has 4,296 inhabitants as of December 31, 2009.
