North Fitzroy railway station

North Fitzroy tram depot was a depot on the Melbourne tram network. Located on Nicholson Street, North Fitzroy, it opened in 1956 when the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board converted part of its North Fitzroy bus depot for tramway operation when the Bourke Street to Brunswick East line reopened. In 1976 it became a sub-unit of East Preston depot. It was the smallest tram depot in Melbourne.With the impending takeover of the Public Transport Corporation's bus services from the depot by the National Bus Company, it closed on 18 December 1993 with the remaining 10 trams that operated on route 96 reallocated to South Melbourne.It briefly reopened in 2008/09 to stable W class trams used on the City Circle while Southbank depot was undergoing refurbishment. In 2020 the tracks leading to the depot were disconnected during works along Nicholson Street.Immediately to the south is a Public Transport Victoria bus depot, operated since 2022 by Kinetic Melbourne.

The Inner Circle Line was a steam era suburban railway line (later electrified) in Melbourne, Australia. It served the inner-northern suburbs of Parkville, Carlton North, Fitzroy North and Fitzroy. At its closure, it ran from Royal Park station on the Upfield line in the west to a triangular junction with Rushall and Merri stations on today's Mernda line in the east. There was also a branch line to Fitzroy that opened at the same time.

The school was ear-marked by the Kennett state-government in the 1990s to be sold-off as being excess to requirements. The local community fought a strong campaign to successfully save the school. Brunswick East is an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km (3.1 mi) north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Merri-bek local government area. Brunswick East recorded a population of 13,279 at the 2021 census.Bordered generally by Lygon Street and Holmes Street in the west; the Merri Creek in the east adjoining Northcote; Park Street, Nicholson Street and Glenlyon Road in the south adjoining Carlton North and Fitzroy North; and Moreland Road in the north adjoining Coburg. Edinburgh Gardens is a large park located in the inner Melbourne suburb of North Fitzroy. It is bounded by Brunswick Street and St Georges Road to the west, the curve of Alfred Crescent to the north and east, and Freeman Street to the south. It was created from a grant of land in March 1862 by Queen Victoria and laid out by Clement Hodgkinson, who designed many of Melbourne's parks and gardens. At approximately 24 hectares (59 acres) in size, the park is large by inner urban standards.

Fitzroy is a former railway station which was on a branch of the Inner Circle line in Melbourne, Australia. The branch ran through the Edinburgh Gardens, just east of the Brunswick Street Oval. The station was opened in 1888, but poor patronage led to its closure to passenger services in May 1892. The line was thereafter used only for goods trains, which lasted until 1981. The site is now occupied by a medium-density housing estate. The last remaining part of the station, a lengthy footbridge, was dismantled and relocated to the Mornington Railway, where it has been rebuilt and restored.

Fitzroy High School is a school catering for Years 7 to 12, located in Falconer Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia. The school was first opened in 1915, but closed in 1992. After a long community campaign, it re-opened in 2004.
